I was in search for a new dentist and came across Central Coast Dental Care. Decided on this office, in part due to my insurance coverage but also because of the good Yelp rating. Scheduling was pretty easy. I was able to schedule a new patient exam appointment online within a week timeframe. Once booked you receive a confirmation via email, and will most likely receive a confirmation call the day before as well. The dental office is located in a small plaza with plenty of lot parking spaces. I was welcomed with a friendly greeting and given a few new patient forms to be filled out. The entire office is friendly and knowledgeable. Appreciated the communication from everyone - front desk receptionists, the X-ray tech, Dr. Sharma, and the dental hygienist. Yup - I lucked out! They happened to have an opening for a cleaning so I was able to get both my exam and cleaning performed on the same day. Glad to have found a great, new dental office! read more

I've been going to the Seaside office since 2017 and have had numerous crowns, onlays, fillings, plus a root canal. The technicians cleaning the teeth are good, but for dental work stay away. I've had problems with onlays and crowns falling off, the most recent crown right before Thanksgiving 2025. When I went back to re-cement the lower crown, the dentist noted that it was "the wrong kind of cement. See how it's flaking off," he said to the assistant. Then they left me in the dentist chair for about 40 minutes, and the office manager came in with a card reader, and presented a bill for $250 to reattach the crown. "Didn't I just have this crown put on?" I asked. She told me it was an old crown, done in 2017, so it wasn't covered. Since we were going into a four-day weekend I relented, but when I got home I went through my dental records - that crown was only 22 months old, so I felt I was misinformed. But the worst part is that I was sitting in the dental chair for almost 2 hours, listening to the grinding and filing in the next room. Yet I did have an appointment. And after that tortuous visit, the newly attached crown still felt too high, painfully pressing on the molar above it, because the harried dentist didn't have time to ensure a proper fit. I visited Central Coast Dental Care on December 23 for a 1:00 PM appointment after chipping my tooth the night before. With Christmas coming up, I was hoping to have it repaired promptly, which is why I scheduled an appointment in advance. Upon arrival, I was charged $250 for a diagnosis only. I was then informed that the office was overbooked and that I would need to remain in the chair while the dentist worked on another patient. Unfortunately, I had to leave for work and could not wait, which completely defeated the purpose of making an appointment in the first place. Despite the delay being on their end, I was still charged the full $250 simply for them to look in my mouth, confirm the chip I already knew about, and take an X-ray. I kindly asked if they would refund part of the fee due to the scheduling issue, but they refused and kept the full amount. I will not be returning. I am writing this review as a warning to others--this office charges a high consultation fee and then adds additional costs on top of that, which can be very difficult for patients paying out of pocket. The offices use different dentists even if you think you have an appointment with one...you can be assigned another! I had never seen this and complained. Dr SINGH'S wife was my dentist. But for a second appt to finish a crown I looked up.to see a strange dentist. I was upset and confused, Dr Shingh's wife came in leaving another patient to work on me. After that...I wanted to DrSingh himself, cause firstly he is a good dentist. Also I didnt believe that his office did the dentist switch. I signed up for yearly plan After talking to him I found out he had the same policey! Plus he was very busy doing implants, and his regular dentistry was on the second burner so to speak. The next day I called demanding half of my yearly fee returned cause I was going tonfind another dentist.The answer was " no" and I has paid 520.00 for year. I do not recommend this dental office. The reception staff is not friendly and Fabiola specifically seems to be incompetent. I scheduled an appointment to get dental work done, assuming it would be complete that day. Spoke to the dentist and he said they don't do that many fillings in one session so I would need to book an additional appointment. I booked an appointment two days later. After I left the office called me and texted me to confirm the appointment I just scheduled. I received a call the next day saying they cancelled my appointment and I'm going to have a $50 cancellation fee. Mind you, they already collected payment for services they didn't even complete yet. I'm very disappointed with Central Coast Dental Care. I recently received a bill for a service they provided three years ago -- with no prior communication or explanation during all that time. This kind of delayed billing is completely unprofessional and makes it hard to trust how they manage patient accounts. Very disappointed in the work that was performed. Was asked to prepay for dental work and scheduled appointment for all work to be done. Dentist advised that unable to complete all dental that was paid for on same day as they have lunch at 12. A few days later contacted dentist to cancel upcoming appointment and request a refund. This appointment was on 8/11 refund was approved but have yet to receive my refund have called over 10 times in the past 2 months and have received every excuse as to why the refund hasn't been submitted. I went in because I lost a crown. They said everything was intact and they just needed to glue it down. Then told me the cost would be $500! I walked out, called my insurance company and found out they were charging me the cost of a new crown, the replacement should have been about $80. I filed a complaint with the insurance company. I just had a wonderful experience at this dental practice. I would give ten stars to Dr. Renuka Kucherlapati and Maria, her assistant. They are friendly, efficient and know their stuff. I read the prior reviews and there are many negative reviews that seem to focus on money and insurance issues. Here is my story. About a month ago, I made a visit to this office because I needed to get a crown replaced. When the office contacted Delta Dental to get the approval for my crown, Delta Dental denied my claim for an absurd self-serving insurance company reason. I am dealing with Delta Dental in that regard. Yesterday, another crown fell off and I went to see Dr. Renuka to get the crown glued back on. (My crowns are over forty years old and I guess that they don't last forever.) In any event, Dr. Renuka showed me that the crown was broken and that she could not simply glue it back on. I would need a new crown and that she could replace the crown in about an hour. (They have a very cool computer operated machine that essentially does 3D printing to make crowns.) I then asked her if she could also replace the other crown because I was tired of waiting to resolve my issue Delta Dental. She said of course she could replace both crowns and within about an hour and half I had two new crowns. I am telling this story because Dr. Renuka's attitude reflects awesome patient service. In fact, despite the earlier negative reviews about customer service, in my opinion, everyone who works at this office is just lovely and helpful. I wish I could give zero stars. I dealt with a very rude receptionist calling 5 minutes before my schedule appointment trying to confim my dental insurance. I scheduled this appointment over 1 months ago and they were just verifying my insurance now? The receptionist could not find my information and continued to be very abrasive with me. When I finally showed up for my appointment, I was greeted by the same rude receptionist. She told me I can be seen today as a non-insurance patient which means I would pay for everything out of pocket. I asked her if she called my insurance to verify my coverage, and she did not. I then asked why my insurance is being verified 5 minutes before my appointment. She stated she was new. I the spoke to the manager who gave me the same excuse. This place is a mess, very disorganized and unprofessional. I walked out of this mess of a dentist office asap. I have no confidence they would provide any type of reliable trustworthy dental care. I have been to this dentist for 3 years now. Every visit I see a different dentist with a different opinion of what care I should receive. I also am in and out in 20 minutes, including my cleaning and advice. Recently I was told I had a fracture of my front tooth and needed a laminate to protect it. I was called about it before Thanksgiving after the insurance approval was received. I had a question and they said they would call me back but didn't. I called them in early December and they couldn't find my chart and said they would call me back. It is January and I haven't heard from them. What kind of care is this- terrible! read more

They get you to buy into their so called insurance which gives you two free cleaning a year but cancel your appointments saying they have no person available and then reschedule after your insurance has expired. Dr. Kaur completely ruined my bite by putting in crowns that didn't fit well. She then blamed me and said my teeth shifted, which is impossible because my retainers from before the crowns still fit. Dr. Kaur then had the audacity to offer to redo 1 crown for free and charge for the second one when she caused these issues. When I called back and told her I'd be leaving a 1 star yelp review she changed her tune and said she would do both for free. However, this isn't the first time she would have to redo crowns for me, she redid one that she messed up previously (for free) and then that tooth got an infection under it and I had to pay her husband Dr. Singh to do a root canal on it. I have spent thousands of dollars with this dentist to leave completely unhappy and with a bite that is so messed up that my straight teeth need Invisalign on them AGAIN. UPDATE: Four and half months after this place tried to scam me by attempting to trick me into signing off on four bone graphs that I did not need, they send me a bill saying I owe them $80 because my insurance was all used up. This is a very clear error on their part, as naturally after they tried to scam me I went to another place and received the proper care I needed and used my insurance there. Their failure to charge me until 4 months after has resulted in me thinking I had enough insurance money left for other dental procedures. I would have proceeded differently had they done their job correctly and charged me on time. This place is god awful. Please find another dentist. OLD REVIEW: Pretty shady business practices. Went to get my wisdom teeth removed and they wanted to do four bone grafts (not covered by my insurance). Thought that was odd so got a second opinion, and the oral surgeon explained that I did not need any at all. When I tried telling them I did not want the grafts, they told me they would refuse to take out my wisdom teeth due to "policy" with the bone grafts. It's so odd how I can't be in control of my own work done to my body. The only conclusion that I can come up with is that they simply want money. I understand that a business needs to make money, but doing so in this way is despicable. One star, would recommend you go else where. read more

She told me that all relevant info was discussed in the call & she just had to show up the following morning ON A SATURDAY!! The price quoted was reasonable as her insurance wasn't good for 2 more weeks. We were greeted quickly & with a smile. As I waited in the peaceful, clean, & pretty lobby, I enjoyed a coffee & water. My 2 hour wait sped by while my friend received first class treatment for her tooth. Future plans for treatment were discussed by the capable staff & we left knowing exactly how to care for her tooth until follow up treatment was performed. She saw both dentists who explained the procedures & minimized any pain, as well as her anxiety. May 23, 2024 Office Experience: Will rate CCDental Care a low one star. Made a call to the office and spoke with their frontdesk staff, Alexis. Our conversation heated up due to my frustrations and the unpleasant remarks from Alexis. I can tell elaborate more and the head doctor or manager of that office can contact me. Care Quality: Will rate the doctor's work a low star. My husband's dental treatment started on March 28, 2024. He presented with Dr Renuka (Dr Rain) about experiencing pain coming from his upper back molar tooth. He ended up having a major treatment plan like a partial denture; front tooth extraction with a bone graft; and a crown which was not explained with us, but ended up to be added to the treatment plan. The hard part is that this plan is no longer covered by our dental insurance as he already maxed out his dental insurance. Also, the sad part is that, the main reason we went to this dental office like I mentioned is all about the pain I described above was not addressed at all. In the absence of Dr Renuka (the office informed us at the time we had the schedule for the fitting or try on of the partial denture, Dr Renuka was on vacation and replaced by Dr Suhitri -not sure about the spelling of her name). We shared with this doctor about how the pain or the same problem still lingers and that my husband is experiencing headaches and soreness that goes beyond his neck now. Dr Suhitri looked at it and finally gave her diagnosis. That same molar tooth needs a filling and recommended for a porcelain filling worth $700 plus. We asked how come it wasn't seen the first time we consulted and seen by Dr Renuka? She said "probably that time, the old filling that was there isn't that bad nor was loosen yet." But the thing is we were there the first time and the very reason we were there was for the treatment and find out what's causing that pain on that area that we were talking about. We ended up paying more from out-of-pocket since they are saying we already maxed out. To date, May 23 (almost the 2nd month of waiting), Alexis said it is a 3-month waiting period as opposed to Dr Renuka's statement that 2-month treatment process. On June 4th, my husband is scheduled for his 2nd try-on of the partial denture. It wasn't discussed with us that there will be more than two fittings that will be done. We are extremely frustrated. read more

Just moving back to the area from VA in April of 2020 with all of the COVID restrictions in place I had not had the opportunity to find a dentist just yet. I am one to religiously have my teeth cleaned every 6 months but had trouble finding anyone on my insurance accepting new patients. Just my luck, one of my veneers popped off so I had no choice but to try a bit harder. I remembered driving past the location on Lighthouse and seeing a sign "accepting new patients" and Central Coast Dental Care accepted my insurance so a match was made. While I had the veneer repaired at the Lighthouse location, when it came time to make a cleaning appointment, they were able to see me sooner in Seaside. My experience was excellent! Adriana completed my cleaning. I really felt she did a very thorough job with both the cleaning and where I may need to pay a bit greater attention to the health of my gums. She also recommended whitening so my bottom teeth matched the veneers better. She was quite friendly as well. I ended up electing to try the Zoom whitening. They were able to get me in to see Maria for the Zoom whitening about 3 days after my cleaning. I had had my teeth whitened in VA with a similar method (bleaching agent and LED light) but the results were not as good as what I experienced with Zoom for a similar price. I was also sent home with custom trays and a bleaching solution. Maria (also very friendly) explained everything we would do in the 45 minutes in the chair. Again a great experience. Luckily, I have not had to have any other dental work done other than cleaning, but guessing by the experiences I have had thus far, I suspect I would be quite satisfied. I highly recommend Central Coast Dental Care for all your dental needs! I will continue to be seen in Seaside as I was thrilled with the service I received. Any costs were explained prior to service and no billing issues with insurance. I am definitely a fan! read more

I needed an emergency molar extraction AND I was a new patient. I am impressed with the quality of care I received. Not only was I seen quickly, I was treated so kindly and respectfully by every person I came into contact with. I recieved x-rays right away and constant attention to make sure I was ok while I waited for my surgery (I was very nervous). Dr. Sharma was very patient and kind the entire time as well. I did not feel ANY pain. Whew! Thank you. Just to let you guys know...if you have to get a bone graft it is going to cost money and Central Coast Dental Care charges in the mid-range for their dental grafts. Most dental insurance policies don't cover the cost of bone grafts - mine doesn't. So don't be shocked if you get that bill...that is normal and yes, expensive. A few days ago I went in for an onlay to the Seaside location and I had the worst experience ever. I will never return to this office. When asking for a break down of my bill they were rude and would not provide it for me. When asking the dentist a question he laughed at me. The dentist was extremely rough and was rude. The hygienist was also extremely rough and she too laughed at me when I asked why there was blue marks all over my face after the procedure. During the procedure the dentist stuck both of his hands in my mouth and leaned over me causing me to have a panic attack and was not considerate. I have never experienced such horrible patient care. The Seaside office needs some serious operational management. I have never been to this dentist before and booked an appointment online. The day before my appointment I get a rude call about making sure I arrive by 3pm that day even though my appointment was for the next day. After I explained that the receptionist on the phone replies says "NO". I say "excuse me?" and then she goes" oh wait actually you're right, see you tomorrow." then hangs up. Miscommunication - fine I can let that go. The day of the appointment I was honestly expecting another call to inform me of my appointment like the day before but I received no such call. I leave them a voicemail and ask if i should still come in or reschedule as its now 15 minutes after my appointment. I told her i scared i was of dentist she treated me with respect and very gentle eith wverythung she needed to do as well as explain all the steps she would be doing. I will never come back to this place! I wish I could give negative stars but because the front office staff and the techs are so nice and sweet I am at least giving it one star! The dentist there is terrible! I got a crown put on November 16. It's literally been a day shy of 4 weeks and that single tooth the doc put a crown on had been so painful that I have not been able to bite on it or chew on it. I have called at least 4-5 times to let them know about this. The staff mentioned it takes a couple of weeks so I waited two weeks and it was still so painful that I can not even bite down on soft mushy overcooked noodles without it hurting. Every time I have come in to get it looked at doctor tries to sell me on other stuff instead of addressing the crown he put on that is causing me pain. He has mentioned that I should get a mouth guard and caps or overlays put in every single one of my other teeth! Then he has given me estimates for all of other things he wants me to get done and pay thousands for instead of addressing the issue at hand! This is the last time I will ever come here! They will work with you and your schedule to give you the most convenient appointment for your schedule. They are also open weekends! And after working hours! Came here new to the area. Went in and the staff seemed very friendly. I was told I needed 8 fillings which was very surprising to me but I trusted them. Had to call to schedule the appointment for the fillings and called 5 or 6 times over a week and every time was told they would call me back within an hour. Never once was called back, so I decided to switch to a different dentist. The other dentist did an exam and looked at the X-rays and pictures taken by Central Coast dentistry. The new dentist said I only had 1 cavity! Thank god I got a second opinion and they were too busy to call me back. I feel like I was almost scammed by this place. My copay was going to be around $500 and ended up being only $60 at the second dentist. Get a second opinion if they tell you you need multiple fillings! read more
