She has been managing my property for two months now and I can only sing her praises. Did not have them as a landlord but, they did do renovations on a property I purchased. Per the inspection, they were supposed to fix or repair my roof, they lied and said they did. They even sent me a picture of a resealed roof that was implied to be mine, which in time proved to be some one elses roof. I've reached out to the owner and he refuses to return my calls or respond to my text messages. How do crooks like this stay in business?

I was charged: $119 for Sewer $139.16 for water $558 in "Miscellaneous" charges such as apparently mowing the grass lol. And $550 in carpet, not $800. Oh and also, I spoke with the apparent carpet guy, who does not own a business for carpet install. He does not recall installing carpet? He had no idea what I was even talking about and denied owning a company called "Julio Perez Carpet Sale"(that was the invoice you sent me) Also, your other invoices from your "Miscellaneous" charges that you had your "Contractor" perform(installing flooring and apparently unclogging drains) does not have an active license from the MHIC, I checked multiple Times and even searched him by name. Don't worry, I will be reporting him for you. The incident on 7/13 is not the incident about the air I am speaking of, but nice try. You failed to speak on the roach problem? Anything to add? What about that awesome cracked window? I will be by Friday morning to pick up my amended security deposit. Thank you :)

If you need an example, just drive through The Commons of Avalon, in Frederick, MD to witness it first hand. They make promise after promise with regard to maintaining their properties with absolutely no follow-through. They charge an outlandish HOA fee providing the legal minimum in return, and will charge huge assessment fees whenever they need to collect more money--I can only assume--because they failed to manage their business expenses appropriately in the recent past. If you reading this review in consideration of living on one of their properties, be warned, you will NOT be happy.

Even though we returned to the area after only a couple years, we have kept Mr. Ashbury as our property manager. We couldn't be more satisfied with the service he provides. The monthly commission is not extravagant and is well worth it to us, especially when it comes time to take care of issues that we find stressful or time-consuming like the process of finding a good tenant or evicting - which was necessary once-a habitually delinquent tenant. Furthermore, I believe our tenant of the past five (maybe six) years, is also satisfied with the arrangement.

Pleasant and helpful leasing agent Despite some of the rumors I heard about that area, a surprisingly quiet area and neighborhood. Workers that kept the areas clean Speedy maintenance My unit had new appliances, large rooms and a lot of space. Cons: Outrageously, thin walls. And neighbors with no consideration for it. Weak/ cheap additions like Closet doors that easily fell of tracks; floor areas that creaked under the rugs; odd plumbing; and appliances that didn't works as they should (doorbell, ice-maker, bathroom vents, kitchen lights, etc.) It's understandable that many of these things would fail or break from normal wear and tear, but these things barely made it past the first couple of months. You will have problems with cable, internet, and cell service. Not sure if its a dead-cell location or what. The biggest con is management. There's a big difference between the leasing agent and the property manager, just remember that. Odd lease violation notices for situations that were ultimately not my fault or out of my control (A notice about having a cluttered apartment days after move in? A notice about a utility bill for move-in day that was already paid for?) Very lackluster responses from management for complaints. Such as, we can't do anything about noisy neighbors, just call the police. (Mgmt, themselves said that excessive noise was a lease violation). What felt like very unprofessional handling of situations like missing packages, solicitors, communication with renters about constructions, etc. With a very condescending attitude from the property manager. Lastly, this my personal experience and opinion. It seems, as long as you are a perfect model tenant, then perhaps your experience will go well. However that's not always the case, so I would suggest that its important to question a property's sense of empathy.
