I recently had my house re-roofed by Accurate Roofing. When I purchased my home five years ago, I knew the roof was nearing the end of its life, so I began soliciting estimates late last year. After evaluating five different bids, I chose Accurate Roofing. John is very straightforward and has a matter-of-fact approach to his reviews and estimates. I appreciated the lack of high-pressure sales tactics, in fact he gave me a runway of 1-2 years time for a re-roof. John and Marla (admin support) were both incredibly responsive and easy to reach via phone, email, or text. Communication was excellent, there was little to no follow up required on my part. Their bid was among the most competitive, and I appreciated the detailed cost breakdown - I like the details. Since my home was built in the 1960s, I was concerned about escalating lumber costs for repairs, but the wood replacement was reasonable for a home of my age and there were no pricing surprises. Permits are the owner's cost. The project took five days: one day for tear-off, one day for wood replacement, and three days for the new roof installation. I've been in this house for about 9 years and never had an issue with the roof. during these last crazy rains, i woke up to water leaking in where the addition was on my house. Our experience with Accurate Roofing was not at all smooth. Don't let the face of the company Johnny Lara and his smooth talking fool you. Our 1917 Historic Craftsman was more then his company was use to or could handle. Attention to detail and craftsmanship was not something the crew was familiar with. The pictures show the work that you will recieve if you choose to go with them. They made endless mistakes, had shotty craftsman ship, were condescending and refused to finish the job. Dangerous materials and trash (bottles of piss) were left around my property for an extended period of time and we were expected to manage the workers while on our property. Johnny Lara only came to check on the job occasionally and generally did not know what was going on. Johnny Lara and the employees of Accurate Roofing refused to take accountability. Their price is certainly very comparable to other companies out there however, what sets them apart, and helped with our decision was John Lara. He is the owner of the company. John received our call, was very punctual to the assessment appointment for the estimate, he brought all his gear and within 20-30 minutes, he got all his measurements completed. He went around the property and pointed out issues and areas of concern, he also took pictures from the top of the roof to show us areas that could be a problem in the future. We had our written appraisal in the timeline he promised. (In this case, the next day) The other companies we called took about a week to complete their of appraisals. His crew is also incredible.
