Alex, Trevor, and Corey went above and beyond to not only inspect our well and put in a filtration system - but each of them took the time to explain everything so clearly and made sure we understood everything they did before they left. When it came to the filtration system Trevor paid attention to every detail - he took the time to label our filtration system in crystal clear hand writing, provided thorough comprehensive report, walked me through how all of the parts of the system work together and what to look for when it needs updating - all in all provided incredible customer service. Down to the kind woman answering the phones, I probably called 30 times over the course of 2 weeks with questions and every time she was kind and resourceful and I always got a call back. Have been in our house for over 20 years and was getting worried about an old pump. Called another company that was local and they told me all the reasons the job would be hard, one of which was they couldn't figure out where my buried pump was - not a confidence booster. Called Accurate who came out to give me an estimate, he found the well in about 30 seconds using a metal detector, and gave me an estimate. Came back few weeks later for job, team showed up and got right to work. They did hit some bumps along the way but were confident they could solve it and they did. I woke up on a summer Saturday morning to NO WATER in the house and called Accurate based on a friends recommendation. First let me say you definitely don't realize how much you take water for granted until you don't have it. No shower, no coffee, couldn't even flush the toilets....Waiting until the work week to have it fixed would have been a real pain. It was 7 Am in the morning and I was surprised that on a Saturday at 7 Am they had an emergency hotline. Glen (owner I believe) immediately got back to me ( I was amazed he remembered my house from a previous job including the type of pump and the specs on my well) and dispatched someone to my house. By 10 am they already had my broken pump out of the ground and had the replacement going in. By noon we had water again. I was very pleased with their knowledge base and professionalism. Update in response to owner's response: Clearly you have no idea what your guys are doing if they told you they fixed my problem by putting new bolts on the well cap. See photos. Also, I cancelled the pressure tank installation (not having the cap fixed) because a few other companies I contacted quoted $400 to $600 less. I am going with the original installer who is installing the same unit that has lasted 20 years, so don't pull the Home Depot card. I'm not looking for a cheap job, I'm looking for a fair job. I'm not saying you guys are not worth the high price, nor am I questioning the quality of work (I wouldn't know), but I refuse to do business with a company who breaks something and then refuses to fix it unless I overpay for other services. It's like you're leaving my well cap broken as ransom. That's pretty darn scummy! -- Original Review: "Scummy" is good word to describe this company. They tried to up-sell me on a pressure tank $400 - $600 more than other companies charge, when they came for an unrelated issue -- then broke my well cap and refused to fix it. Full story below: I noticed yesterday that the heavy rains had caused excess pressure in my well and it was weeping water out of the cap. When I say weeping, I mean about a drop every 5 seconds or so. Just to make sure this was OK, I contacted Accurate Well & Pump. A few hours later, two guys showed up to check it out. One came inside because he insisted he needed see my pressure tank (although I assured him my basement was dry and water wasn't coming in). I went with him into the basement and he explained that water leaking out of the cap of the well can happen in the spring and it's not a big deal - it will stop when the water table drops. Meanwhile, his partner was out back popping open the well cap, breaking some of the bolts and a gasket (without first consulting with me). Not sure why this was necessary if a few drops of water was "not a big deal". Anyway, while in the basement, I was told that my pressure tank was working fine, but they have a lifespan of 8-12 years and mine was 20. He then used scare tactics (which worked) to try to sell me on a replacement tank. He said the pipes corrode from the inside out, so it's hard to tell how bad they are, but after 20 years he's sure that a little pressure on the pipes would send the valve flying off and water rushing into my basement. We then met his partner outside where I saw the cap off my well and water flooding my yard at about 50 gallons per minute (their estimate, not mine). They tried to put the cap back on but due to the pieces they broke, they were unable to seal it and it was still shooting water out a few feet. The guy said, "If you have us do your tank I'll throw in a free gasket and bolts to fix the cap," as if he was doing me a favor for fixing something they broke, but only if I overpayed for a new pressure tank. After a few statements on my part about how it wasn't spewing water before they showed up, he agreed to just come today and replace the broken pieces in the cap regardless. I called around to other well companies to get other estimates on a pressure tank only to find everyone else quoting $400 - $600 less, so I called back and canceled the installation service and decided to go with the guy who installed the first pressure tank 20 years ago. Today, two different guys came by and took off the well cap again, then came to the front door and asked to come in and do the pressure tank. I told them I had canceled the pressure tank install to go with someone else. To that, they went back to the well, put only ONE bolt in to hold the cap (so it was gushing even more water than yesterday), and went to leave. I said, "You're just going to leave it like that?!" They said, "That's how it was when we got here." I said, "Your guys did that yesterday. They said they were going to come back and fix it." So, one of the guys called "the boss", Glenn. After he got off the phone he said, "Sorry, he doesn't want us to do anything." I was like, "What do you mean he doesn't want you to do anything? His guys caused that! Does he know that?" He said, "Yeah, he knows. He doesn't want us doing anything. Sorry." He was sincerely apologetic (I think), and I felt bad because I knew it wasn't his call, but I was furious. The guys who were here told me to call the office because their boss wouldn't let them do anything else. I called and spoke to a woman who said she'd have someone get back to me. I'm not holding my breath. Long story short, because I went elsewhere for a pressure tank installation because Accurate Well & Pump was VERY overpriced, "the boss" insisted they leave me high and dry (well, quite the opposite, actually) and not have his guys fix what his other guys broke. So now my well continues to gush water and my back yard is flooded. I'm so glad I'm going with someone else because I wouldn't want to give these guys a penny of business. I recently had some pump work done on my water well. While they did come as promised, when all was restored, the bill came to 992.68, JUST UNDER THE MAGIC THRESHOLD OF 1000.00 as to NOT allow me to use the 100.00 coupon on the website. I even gave the crew extra cash for coming on time and completing the job. I am sure that Glenn Slater did this on purpose. I used them 25 years ago and to my astonishment they never showed up resulting in me having to call another company and be without water for an additional day. Silly me, should have learned, as they say. It seems that every well company is "slimy" as the other reviewer noted. In short, Glenn did not want to make a friend here, as I am the go to guy for advice on wells here in Franklin Lakes. All my neighbors come to me for guidance on mechanical issues in my town. So shortsighted. So Ackerson took advantage of me and it seems so did Slater. What both of these people dont understand is that word of mouth and goodwill are powerful tools that can cut BOTH WAYS.
