Wild experience. Went through once, went and did some shopping and when I parked I realized the back of my car was still completely dirty. Came back maybe 30 minutes later with my receipt, owner looked absolutely mortified as I came back in, like genuine face of shock I've never seen on a person it was unnerving. People wiping down my car seemed very unhappy with me coming through again. Car was still dirty but better than the first time through. This used to be one of the best car washes in the area for years. I would drove way out of my way just to come here. Now the water hose is about a foot long and half the cleaning chemicals always don't work. This went from one of the best to one of the worst. Not sure what happened but probably why it's always empty now. I need to just drive to the one on Groesbeck instead of giving this place endless chances. I have had a membership to this place when it was called "ACE"...my membership continued when it became Jax. I just came from there today and it looked terrible. I counted at least 3 vacuum hoses laying on the ground with trash in the lot. I was only able to find one working vacuum and it was only on the one side. I had to change spots 3 times to find a working vacuum. I pay good money for the membership and I dont expect to have to search out working vacuums that my membership is funding. This is not the first time i could not find working vacuums..Today was just the worst i have seen it. There were employees sitting around and the wash was not busy.....Im considering switching or just cancelling even though im handicapped and getting in and out of my car to search for working vacuums is troubling.. read more

I go to this Ace because it's close to my home and I can get through it faster than Mr. C's. I like a clean car all year and it's good enough until I can detail it myself in the summer. Where they could really improve is keeping the vacuum area clean. Trash is not emptied often enough, and the area is often littered. The wash would be better if they used brooms and not just the power wands at entry. I like that they have people drying the vehicles, but they barely do anything. They have a tip container out so you're guilted into tipping when I have to go home and dry my car anyway. read more

What a big rip off this car wash is! I stopped here to use the car wash just to wash the mats in my car so the cost according to the machine was $3.50 and it said to scan your debit or credit card. Once I scanned it, the foaming brush started to go. That's what I had selected and so I scrubbed my mats really good and then moved over to the wind to rinse them off and when I left the machine still had some time on it, so I just turned it off. I got home just now and there was a $10.00 charge to my card!!! Obviously I will never go there again and I'm gonna try and call the owners to see if there's any chance I might be able to get a refund because that's ridiculous for a self wash car wash !!!! Well, I called there and left a message yesterday and definitely have not received a call back and I did go back to verify that the price should have been $3.50 not $10.00!!! you can see that in my photos read more

I'd give a zero rating if possible. I had an unlimited plan that I had to cancel after they damaged my Merceder and refused to do anything about it. I suggest that you video completely around your car before you enter, then before leaving their lot visually inspecting your vehicle for damages. Also I noticed on my wife's Mercedes that the previously unblemished paint now has highly noticeable swirl marks. read more

tried washing my car there they recently just switched to only tap to pay or coins so no swipe when I put my three dollars in change in I got mostly through my wash when I was putting soap on my car. My time ran out so when I went to go tap to pay it wouldn't accept it so I moved to another bay, and that bay didn't accept my tap to pay. So I had to drive to another car wash to rinse down my car, but at that point all the soap that had been sitting on my car now made my headlights and tail lights foggy. And my foggy as well. read more

The short guy with the short brown hair and the brown beard needs to learn how to rinse off a vehicle. His lack of rinsing off a vehicle allows dirt and debris to scratch the vehicle. Also witnessed him telling other staff to stop by vehicles were rinsed and this was when they were not busy. The individual drying needs to understand the back window needs to be dried as well. If I need to remind someone how to do their job I'm not tipping. Many then the attitudes start. Jax recently purchased this location. I'll be contacting them daily. Also hope Jax is able to discover the steeling that was going on before the new computer system was installed. They were giving free month to friends and doing nothing for damaged vehicles or unsatisfied customers. Since Jax has acquired Ace the staff have said outsourcing to customers how much they hate the new Jax and how much it sucks, including management there. read more

Not sure how you can have a business that accepts trucks. And obviously isn't made for trucks. Both my white and black truck passenger side mirrors hit the brick wall coming out of the car wash. Deep scratches too, can't be buffed out. And the guys that dried off the trucks said it's all good when you leave, only to get home and find they aren't okay. read more

These guys are a bunch of scamming dicks. Ive taken my car here for years as it buts up to my neighborhood, they have always been way overpriced but the quality was decent. I came in today to was my car in the self service bay. i noticed they installed new spray guns, much weaker than the ones before. It took me 8$ to was my car and 4 minutes in i realized they didn't even have soap, unbelievable! I went into the office to ask for a refund, which had me waiting 15 minutes for someone to notice i was there. Just to be told they already knew they had no soap and will not be giving me a refund because they dont know how to use the register. I will NEVER be going here again! read more

I'm not sure what kind of crack people are smoking who leave anything above 1 star because I haven't had a satisfactory experience result from this place (Shelby Twp- 24 1/2 mile and Van Dyke) in well over a year. The last 3 times I've been there the vacuums didn't even work. The service and effort these money-grubbing workers put into servicing the customers is an absolute joke. They cram cars through the car wash portion so quick and the drying side of things may as well not even exist. The beginning rinse and brush is such a waste of an effort as well. It's just enough to smear the salt and dirt around on hood and back windows. It looks as if it's an inconvenience for those running the front line of the wash. And for the price we pay for a less than half ass return is unacceptable. I'll be going somewhere else from now on. read more

Free vacuums??? Yes please!!! Go to the back of the business, not to the front vacuums. The 2 located near the side street, to the left of the wash bay, are FREE!! Yes it's a little "pot holy" over on that side. Yes you might have to drive cautiously. But hey- the vacuums are FREE and you can use them for as long as you want! I have a HUGE party bus. I have 5 little off spring. My bus gets messy and dirty. I like a clean bus. My OCD gets the best of me if I see a broken goldfish cracker on my carpet. Free vacuums are my lottery! The other day I was for 22 minutes cleaning out my vehicle. By the time I was done the thing looked like it did they day I drove it out of the showroom, before a child ever set a sticky hand on it. This is the place for sucking all the crap out of your car, van or truck! I can't comment on the auto wash or the bay washes because my bus is so damn big, I leave that to the professionals (aka the hubby). But the traffic here is always bustling and consistent. Well I used to love this car wash BEFORE it was Ace Auto Wash. This place is near my house, & used to have lots of options, starting at $3 & they always hand dried. Well..first off the drive way/ parking lot has multiple lanes that make it very confusing to even know which lane you need to be in? They have kiosks at each lane so you can pick your options & pay through the machine. However there was an employee sitting outside who I asked "which lane?" He said "any" and came over & helped. So.. prices now start at $6 as the cheapest. I usually go for cheapest because I typically get my car washed pretty often. So, I was disappointed with the prices. The guy who helped me offered a "$4 quick" something (I couldn't hear him but knew I wasn't paying anymore than $6! ) as an upgrade. Thankfully I didn't do the upgrade because I'm positive I would've been even more upset that I wasted $10! Next, my car is done going through, & no one comes to dry my car off, even though I see the cart with towels out there. AND this is my 2nd time coming (I didn't realize prices my first visit because I went around the lanes (because it's so confusing!) and pulled up. That was a few weeks ago & I know they hand dried because I rolled down my window to tip. So- again I'm upset that for $6 you don't even get your car dried.. where last time it was dried?! BUT, in this instance I am so thankful that no one hand dried it. I cannot even imagine, with how dirty it still is- the scratches & damages that could've come from rubbing a towel over the dried dirt & dust! Ugh!! I can't even imagine!!! But, the inconsistency alone is an issue. I guess you're not supposed to know what to expect? Oh... now let's talk about how this was probably the worst car wash I have ever gotten!!! The guy who sprayed the car clearly half assed it & left big (AND OBVIOUS!) areas unsprayed. Literally 5 min after I get my car wash I am in a parking lot, stopped for errands & my car was still so dirty that it caught my eye immediately after I got out of my car. The whole backside /trunk still has dirt & dust.. all over! Then I start to walk around the car.. oh I got so irritated & upset! Clearly my tires & rims weren't even sprayed before I went through the car wash. Oh , it gets worse.. the inner fenders (where the tire is) completely untouched! There was still dried grass stuck all on the inside! They obviously didn't even attempt to spray the under carriage or tires. The whole car has dirt still on it everywhere! The mirrors, well they look like crap too. I mean- what else can I say?! Everything about this experience was terrible. And let me just add that I do not mind paying a little more for a car wash if it's done right. Even if this car wash was $3 (minimum) it wasn't even worth that! I will never be back unless it changes owners again. And too bad for them , as I said I go quite often- they just lost a regular customer. As many car washes that are around (there are 7 car washes within 5 miles of where I live) DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Service wasn't that great & quality was the worse I've ever seen. I purchased a Groupon that was valued at $150 for an Exterior and Interior detail. When I got there, I was told that I would get what turned out to be there car wash in a nut shell. I was taken back, I had scheduled an appointment for a $150 detail that included a wax. They said the wax happened during the drive thru car wash. I responded, How is that worth $150 dollars. The owner said that it was just a number Groupon put on there. I asked to see anything they had that described a detail on it, they could not give me anything. The owner bragged that he had sold almost 3,000 worth of these and if I didn't like it I could call Groupon and ask for a refund. I can't believe that this can actually happen, I genuinely hope that I am the last person that has to go thru this. But it seems Groupon and the owner of the car wash could care less so I am guessing that won't be the case. read more

at the quarter car wash half of the machines don't work and the owner just makes it look like it does so after you pay you realize it doesn't work and the brushes are usually dirty with stuff stuck in the bristles to scratch your paint and they don't even bother salting inside even though there is constantly water on the ground freezing i used to come here religiously to wash my car but it seems ever sense they upgraded the front car wash they don't care about the quarter wash part at all i would strongly recommend avoiding this car wash. Employees working there don't seem to care that the cars going through the car wash aren't moving forward after the air dryers. I literally came within two inches of hitting the truck in front of me. I had to put my car in reverse while on those rollers. Finally the driver pulled forward and I got the heck out of there. I told the young man who was attempting to towel dry my car what had happened and he said that he tried to get the driver to move forward but they wouldn't. Do some people not know how to go through a drive thru car wash??? If not, then the employees need to be more aware of what's going on because there was almost a collision right then and there. In addition I got home and looked at my car and it wasn't even clean. Horrible job!! Will NEVER go back. Very bad experience!! read more

I made the dumb decision of Signing up for a monthly membership of $17.99 and then cancelled it 3 months ago (due to the fact that I did not use it much), and they STILL have been charging me since then! They do not have a working/reliable number, the one on their site goes straight to voicemail.. you are forced to drive there for any issue... Pretty much only option is to dispute these charges or change your card number! Pathetic. read more

For example, we need to wash our cars and were just there... it says they are open online, but they are actually closed. I used this service last summer for the special $10.00 per month program. On October 11 2019 I went to cancel my membership as they promised I could prior to the next billing. They stated it was cancelled. I asked for a receipt and was told they do not give one but not to worry. I have been charged every month since then !$19.99. ( I don't know how it became 19.99 and it was cancelled)I have tried to call them but of course no one will respond. I have not been in the state since that time. They are stealing from us. My credit card company cannot reach them either. This also happened to another friend. DO NOT GO THERE WITH A CREDIT CARD. ( unless you will stay with them forever.) This is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever encountered. I pulled in for my scheduled car detail and no one came out to greet me and I had to walk around aimlessly to try to find someone to help. Finally, after finding someone, they had no idea that there was a scheduled appointment. Unwilling the worker went out to my car and opened the front door and you could see on his face that he didn't want to clean it after seeing dog hair, he tells me that it was going to cost way more to clean. I tried calling 3 different numbers to sort out this issue and finally after getting ahold of someone, they simply said, "I don't know what to tell you." Wouldn't listen to what I had to say and wanted to charge me more since a $150 detail is only "a wash and vacuum" according to the worker. Never recommending this place to anyone! read more
