One hour later I called the bank to cancel the transaction. After spending 40 minutes of a 42 minute call on hold, I was told it was "too late" to cancel it. This is customer service? I have been a customer since 1994, but why should I bother to continue? The tellers at the branch are super nice, but there needs to be more transparency. How about warning the customer that they might want to consider that they will only be getting 17k VND to one USD instead of the actual exchange rate of 26k VND. Maybe alert the customer that he will lose $350 on a $1000 exchange? And not make it so hard to cancel an unsatisfactory transaction? And, hey, do they think our time is so cheap that it's okay to spend 40 minutes on hold?

I've been with them for about 4 months and I regret it with all my being. The only upside is the interest on their savings. I feel backed into a corner and I don't like it. I figured I'd sooner dig a ditch than use credit again. My motto became simple: if I couldn't afford to pay for it, then I didn't need it. Then life threw me a curveball, and I found myself needing to finance an important procedure. That's when this team stepped in. Instead of looking at my nonexistent credit profile and seeing a number--or the lack of one--they looked at me as a person. They took a chance on me when they really didn't have to, and they agreed to help. I'm still struggling to find the right words to describe just how much that means to me. From the very beginning, they made what could have been an incredibly stressful process feel easy, comfortable, and manageable. Their patience, understanding, and willingness to help have meant more to me than they probably realize. Part of me wishes I had found them years ago. If I had, I might never have given up on credit in the first place. But I also believe that things happen when they're supposed to, and I feel incredibly fortunate to know that I have people in my corner now who genuinely seem to care. I'm excited to begin this credit journey again, and I couldn't have asked for a better place or better people to help me take that first step. The only downside is that I honestly don't know how I'll ever find another company that can match their level of service, compassion, understanding, and genuine care.
