My case involves just that. I bought vinyl plank flooring. (900 sq ft). The employee said that vapor barrier was not required because the planks has its own barrier built into it. Installed the flooring and eights months later, the planks began to cup. Took pics, contacted the manufacture. They sent out a rep. to inspect. Claim results stated not a manufacture issue. Went back to the issuing store, showed pics again to them, file a claim with the store itself. Later finding out the employee that sold the product was fired. Now the store will not stand by my problem because they can't contact the fired employee.

We hired Pella for a turnkey window and door project: new windows and doors in our home addition,…read moreplus replacement windows in the main house. Installation began July 6, 2026. As of September 22, the job is far from complete and communication has broken down entirely. Problems started on day one. The subcontracted installation crew arrived unaware they were replacing existing windows in addition to installing the new ones. They left our home a wreck: blinds taken down with parts scattered around, window sills removed (many still not reinstalled), and plaster and drywall damaged. Pella sent a crew to repair the drywall, but the work was so poor our general contractor had his own drywall sub finish it. A roughly 6-foot window shattered during installation, and a second shattered on its own about two weeks later. Neither has been replaced. Outstanding issues include: Locks that don't work and missing door handles Premium doors ordered factory-painted inside and out, delivered painted only on the exterior. Pella offered field painting instead, which we agreed to evaluate before requesting replacement, but the painter never showed up. Trim covering the window screws, promised after inspection, never installed Two large windows with missing or incomplete interior caulking Unfilled screw holes in the door jambs Throughout the project, our sales rep has been extremely difficult to reach. Neither we nor our GC have heard back from him in weeks despite repeated calls and texts. For a premium brand sold as a turnkey installation, this has been an awful experience.
