Amazing company they just replaced my front door. The pricing was great and so was the services I received.

i want it to be known right now that my wife & I love our new windows that were installed. However after the windows were installed Mark Davis came by my home and he walked around with my wife to do overall inspection before we paid final balance. That day everything looked good until several days later. My right front garage window frame had turned a yellowish color down the one side. Mark came and looked at it and said it wasn't from his guys that it had to be from the stucco crew that had to redo all my bands around every window. BTW that crew did an amazing job and I would highly recommend them and as I said HomeRite as well. Mark reached out to stucco man, which we will call him "T" He came out and looked and said it's nothing his guys could have done but that he would take care of it. We were told on March 9th see you this week. As of today 4/3 haven't seen or heard back. Due to T having some health issue i decided not to try and contact him. My reason is this. My wife & I along with other family members do not believe it was from the stucco crew. This is what we believe happen. On every window install the guys had to use a special type of glue/caulking around the backside of the frame before installing it in the opening. We think that particular window got way too much adhesive and it oozed out and got on the frame and dried without someone catching this which now due to weather elements we believe it has turned it yellow. So here is my issue of why I did not rate them with 5 stars. We spent a lot of money for our windows and you would have thought someone from HomeRite would have followed up to be sure the window issue had been taken care of. Let me add this as well. Our windows were sitting in their warehouse for several weeks and I had to call to find out what the status was because we were suppose to have had them done before the end of 2024. I was told by there office someone dropped the ball and they were very apologetic. So we were moved on the schedule to January 13th. I guess the ball is still being dropped. Happy and Sad customer at the same time. Now I have to try and find something myself to take whatever this is off. Never at one time were my wife & I told, If it doesn't come off the frame we will get it replaced. Make sure you inspect every window with a fine tooth comb before signing off. After I posted the review I received a call the very next morning from Mr. Gates personally NOT to tell me how he didn't like my review BUT to tell me how sorry he was and that he himself was not aware of my issues. i told him I know my review wasn't all positive and gave him my apologies even though I had a concern. He said to me these words.... People will leave good & bad reviews with any company. He said I am not worried about your review BUT I am more concerned about my customer Tim Watson. WOW! That right there just reassured me that my wife and I made the RIGHT choice choosing HomeRite! He had me on a call with Mark & Jim. Mr.Gates had them at my home within 2 hours. Upon arrival they didn't get out of their trucks with attitudes BUT rather with a genuine concern and very apologetic. They discussed with me the install method to a detail and i was assured that the problem was not from HomeRite installation team. Things can happen sometimes when different subs our on a big project like mine was. It was just a simple error that came about with other work I had done. They were quick not to point fingers or judge just giving an explanation of the possible cause. Within about 30 minutes they had the frame spotless. Mr Gates thank you for being so concerned about your customer and I can not thank you enough for the quick turnaround. Mark & Jim I appreciate you both. And i know this sounds repetitive but I want to stress this. If you are in the market for new windows You will not go wrong choosing HomeRite Windows & Doors. HomeRite installed new windows in our home which is finishing being renovated. We were not living in the house when they were installed. We moved in about 6 weeks ago and a few weeks back I contacted HomeRite regarding scratches, cracks and chips on nearly all of the interior window frames. It is clear to anyone that they were damaged during installation, yet when I finally spoke to Jimmy today (who has yet to take the time to look at the windows in person) and he is saying that HomeRite is not taking responsibility for the damage. He claims that they were installed properly and not damaged at the time of installation. I am not sure what he thinks people do to window frames, but I can assure you that the damage that is present was not caused by me nor my family. I would not use HomeRite for your windows. They obviously do not install windows carefully nor take accountability for the damage they cause in the process. I will happy remove this negative review if and when HomeRite does the right thing by owning up to their mistakes and repairing or replacing the damaged windows. The sales process was smooth, but customer service and repair after the insallation, as well as window quality is not good. I had a the window mechanism in one of my impact glass windows break and they came out and looked at it twice, told me the parts were ordered, etc. It's been over a year and nada. Also, they charged me to pull permits, but seems they didn't do that either, despite the charge and local requirement. Everyone I talk to is really nice, but in the end, it's a fail. read more

I had Homerite replace one panel of my sliding glass door glass. One side had fogged up and this was the lower cost alternative to replacing the whole door. Two days after, the other glass panel is now fogged. I call several times, finally get someone and they say, that's not our fault, maybe the lawn mower shot a rock at the window. This door was fogged on one side for 3 years, and now you "fix it", the other side (which never had an issue) becomes fogged. So they came out again, replaced the panel they screwed up and charged me full price. When I asked about a discount, after explaining to the person on the phone the whole situation, the guy gave me $50 off this $1200+ fiasco. When the installer arrived to install my second panel, I asked him the procedure on the original install, he tells me - we take the first glass panel out to access the second glass panel. So the side that was fine all along was removed and then reinstalled, 48hrs goes by and now my old glass is fogged and my new glass is fine. This procedure was never explained to me originally or I would have opted for a new door. Summary- pricey, slick and below average customer service. read more

HomeRite windows and doors, did a horrible job in July of 2021 they came out to replace all the windows and in replacing the trim they bent it, beating off paint and making it so the trim never fit back leaving huge gaps. Living close to the ocean I'm sure that with the next hurricane it will be ripped right off. At first they said they would replace the trim and then there was silence. They were horrible at returning phone calls and messages. They lied over and over to us. Do not use these unprofessional people. read more

When it comes to windows and doors, my wife and I like to keep it simple. We want a solid, reasonably-priced product installed by great people. We just used Homerite for the second time and were delighted. Our salesman, Pete, is a no-bull kind of guy, and the lead installer, Donnie, and his team were very, very professional. The end product looks excellent and there was zero clean-up afterwards. Highly recommend these guys. read more

I had two large windows and my sliding glass door replaced by Homerite Windows and Doors. "Peanut" and Michael did the installation and they were precise and careful. They washed the windows and cleaned up after the installation. Both of the windows and the slider fit exactly. Homerite stands by their products and they do a great job. The customer service and follow up of this company is lacking! The wrong windows were ordered (we ordered clear and windows with mullions) were delivered. We decided to accept the mullion windows vs waiting for the others to be ordered and delaying the installation. The windows at the front of the house were not measured correctly and did not line up with the inside shutter bar requiring that they be reordered. We had paid all but $800 after completion of the job, hoping to ensure remedy of outstanding issues. It took several calls to get the front window glass replaced. One of the windows has leaked and we placed a call several months ago. A representative was sent out and he ensured us they would fix the issue. We are still waiting. Professional from beginning to end. Quote was the best, with a lifetime transferable warranty. ( I rehab homes ) so this is important as warranty means little to me. Installers came on the day they were supposed to. Took 3 days as this was not the easiest block masonry home with some embedded old windows(early '50s). When done the windows past inspection and looks great. Will be getting quotes from HomeRite in the future! read more

Good installation but got falsely accused by Homelite for not allowing the city access to my home for inspection. Homelite never contacted me to request a time for the inspection. Was told by the city that they do this from time to time. Do not trust this company!! read more
