I've used them on three home in Jacksonville. Awesome service and quality. My first home had 26 windows and they were the best price and corrected very poor work by a "designer". In my second home they did verticals in the family room and bedrooms. Some were a fabric to allow more light, some were fabric in the channels to make the rooms dark and some were their vinyl material. We were in that home 21 years and all were working as good as day one when we sold it. The quality can't be beat. I wanted plantation shutters in my current home and their prices smoked everyone else's. The most expensive was Home Depot and then Lowe's, but All About Blinds was less than 1/2 price of both. Kyle was wonderful to work with. Everything was done when he said and fits the windows perfectly. They are a long time Jacksonville company and you won't find anyone better. read more

We would not say totally positive or completely negative. It is kind of mixed experience. Delivery was delayed, customer service was only worried about payments. They talk about payments, even before delivering quality product. And importantly they lack attention to details/ perfection. They clearly do NOT aim good customer service or perfect quality. When challenged, instead of answering patiently for technical defects, the slaes person shows signs of irritation and innovates reasons to push the product with defects. We installed two big window shutters and one roller shades for patio. The windows have a curvature [arch]. Of this one window has deeper curvature than the other. Positive Aspects - Installer was patient, courteous and professional. - The roller shade is good. We stil need to assess the durability of the motor. They provide 5 years warranty...this remains to be seen, when something breaks down - plantation shtture for the arch widow with low curvature [ for office room] fitted well, well done Negative Aspects- need correction The living room window has deeper arch and needed precision. They never bothered to do precision/ perfect work. They first installed a defective piece of plantation shutter. We refused to accept shutter with big gaps. They took back the shutters and tried second time again after 4 weeks. That again had larger gaps than the first one and we again refused. After a wait of another three weeks [ totally 11 weeks after placing tbe order] they managed to install the shutters, again with compromised precision and defevtive design. When confronted, they argue that windows are not aligned properly and shift the blame on the construction of the window. They do not seem to give importance for total customer satisfaction, cut corners and provide sub optimal quality product. Just this instance made us to regret our decision to have placed orders for plantation shutters. In summary, they may be [ again, MAY BE] good for some straight forward windows. But sure enough, they cannot design and install shutters for windows with deep arches/curvatures. Most of all, they do NOT have a customer friendly sales team. When challenged, they show signs of irritation amd try to escape uncomfortable questions. Would they accept lesser payment from a customer? Would they accept delayed papyment from customers? But they expect customers to compromise quality, perfection and schedule. read more

After getting multiple quotes for blinds for our house, we decided to go with All About Blinds and Shutters. Why? Because they were the most easy going and also came in the lowest price. I called prior to Christmas to schedule our installation and they were several weeks out. We scheduled our installation for the second week of January and put down our deposit. The day of the installation, Grant called to let me know he was running early, and if I was home, he could come earlier to install the blinds. That was great, because I wanted to make sure I was able to pick up my kiddo at school. Grant arrived early, we went over which rooms were getting blinds, and he quickly got to work. In less than 1.5 hours he was done, super professional, blinds looked great and installation took quicker than I anticipated. I do not recommend working for this company they do drugs and alcohol at the work place and I only worked there for six days before getting sick by there coffee and drinks they provided and also gave me fake phone numbers to call if I was to call off work and some workers needa get checked with there bad attitudes. Also there products are cheap and will break easily most of it is fragile wood and they over price them for no reason and I have worked for these types of companies for over 8 years to know what is good and bad quality stuf!. read more

When selecting things like window treatments, and specifically, in this case, shutters, there are two concerns; the manufacturer and the installer. We recently selected All About Blinds to supply plantation shutters. We have used them through the years, and have always been satisfied. This install, however, was a little tricky, so we asked them to provide a top notch installer; they did. Now, I am tempted to riff on a bunch of Merle Haggard songs, in honor of our installer Merle, but I will spare you, choosing rather to focus on the great job Merle did installing these shutters. Professional, friendly, courteous all accurately describe Merle and his work. He just finished up and left a bit ago, and I had intended to pop out for happy hour, but instead, "I think I'll just stay here and drink". I apologize, could not help myself. Huge RAVE for All About Blinds in Jax. We put blinds in our home over a year ago. Excellent service and they looked great. A few months ago, 3 of the blinds became visibly crooked. I tried the usual stuff myself and tried to ignore it. Finally, I sent a message via their website and LEXI CONTACTED ME IMMEDIATELY! I have a friend who recommended them to me when she use them many years ago for her home installation of blinds and shutters, they look beautiful and her home. A review I wrote about AAB about two months ago on Yelp is no longer available. I just dealt with them again yesterday (purchased more shutters from them), so I'll write another review. Both times I dealt with them were the same, so here goes: Before purchasing our shutters and blinds, we checked around, but AAB offered the best price. They make the shutters themselves, so that is probably why the better price - no middle man. The first purchase we made was for shutters on most our windows and two sets of blinds. The product appeared to be good quality. The installer was Pedro, who was professional and friendly. We were very pleased. We decided to add more shutters for more privacy, and since we were pleased with them, we ordered them again from. They offered a great price again. Yesterday, Jacob came out to install the shutters. Just like Pedro, Jacob was professional and friendly. In summary, I was very pleased with All About Shutters - the price, quality, and installation was everything I wanted, and more. The measure crew tried to sell us several extras and upgrades we neither wanted nor even asked for. Strong sales pitch using info we know was not entirely correct. My entire experience with AAB was fantastic - Darin came out to measure the blinds for my two bedrooms. I live in a building with 8' tall windows, so I was very curious what kind of blinds would look best. He gave me the price quote right away, and once I ordered the blinds, the communication was excellent. I made an appointment that I had to cancel last minute, and they happily rescheduled and didn't give me a hard time. The day I got my blinds installed, Scott came to do the work. He arrive on time (a few minutes early). I was having a VERY hectic afternoon (working from home, dealing with re-arranging a canceled flight, and my dad and dog where there working on other areas of my condo). I showed Scott where I need the blinds installed, and he did it SO quickly. They are absolutely perfect, and he left no mess. Just had my plantation shutters installed and they look absolutely beautiful, really dress up the house from both the inside and the outside. Robby was the installer and did a fantastic job, he takes pride in his workmanship, exactly the kind of person you want working on your house. The process does take some time especially if doing many windows, we met with Kevin the sales rep probably 8 weeks ago before the shutters were made and able to be installed. The office staff with my dealings were always friendly and helpful. The only disappointment with the process was one of the windows somehow fell thru the cracks on the manufacturing side and was not made so a further wait for the build & install but Robby did say they will place a rush on production. The only other negative is the bill- window treatments are not cheap so be prepared to spend quite a bit if considering plantation shutters. If your ready to open your wallet and want to improve the look and feel of your home than check out All About Blinds- they do great work. We moved into a beautiful home over the summer with stunning 8' windows in our great room and kitchen eating area. It didn't take long to realize we needed some sort of covering to block the sun during certain parts of the day, however, we did not want to lose the view and openness of the windows. All About Blinds worked with us to find the right shades to meet out needs. We first did one wall of windows and then another and finally asked for a solution to the kitchen all glass bay window as we were not sure a solution was possible. All About Blinds took the time to figure out how to make the kitchen shades work right, look right, and work like we wanted them to as it was not a simple solution. This company worked hard to come up with a creative solution that works. I'm sure other companies would have told us what we wanted for this window set-up was not possible. We now have fantastic quality blinds we can control remotely that block the sun when we need them to and are discreet and aesthetically pleasing when we don't need them down. Everyone from the office staff, to the sales guys to the installers are wonderful. There is pride in the work they do and they are truly concerned that they leave your home with the customer happy. All About Blinds has so many options with regard to slat size, side open, middle open, wood or faux it took me some time to make a decision. Once decided and shutters ordered it does take a few weeks for them to be custom made and then installed. The installer was super nice, efficient, and very particular about hanging the shutters. The chair rail had to be cut to install the shutter in the front room and you would never even know it-he did such a great job!! Real shame. We spent THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS with All About Blinds to cover our entire house with blinds. We had one more window to get covered 3 years later and All About Blinds was $100 higher than a competitor. When I asked them to match the pricing they said no, this was after speaking with the person who gave me the quote and an owner. We recently purchased some blinds and plantations shutters for our new home alittle over two months ago. The plantations shutters have arrived and are installed. All About Blinds sent a wonderful man (Jacob) out to the house for the installation of these shutters. Jacob did a wonderful job installing the shutters and had great customer service in making sure they met our expectations. On the other hand, I'm not giving the company an overall five star because we still have not received our blinds and on the initial visit to our house there was a misunderstanding concerning some existing curtains which we didn't realize would have to be removed in order to install blinds. The problem did eventually get resolved and we were refunded. I do agree with a previously review that All About Blinds & Shutters lack some customer service skills to include good communication. Otherwise, I feel the product is good and the price is fair. read more
