I was desperate! So i tried Archie's to try to find the right kind of washer and tools. The guys on the floor sent me to Jill. She not only coached me and let me borrow tools, she CAME TO MY HOUSE and returned TWICE to swap out tools and the washers and fixed it herself. She knows her stuff and cheerfully gives it away! A 21st century miracle!!!! Please know that this is NOT a service you can demand at Archie's; Jill offers her skills at HER discretion - she told me that she likes to help out other women because she understands how tough it can be for gals in the DIY/home repair field. Nevertheless I am now on Team Jill and a loyal fan forever. And Archie's is pretty high on my list, too! We came across this gas station and not only that. We were able to find some hot chicken and thee best potato wedges ever. I believe Chester's Chicken is a big deal in Trona with the small towns residents and travelers. The few folks working there were so cheerful. I just wish we asked a few more questions from the locals. It's always a plus. We filled up on gas , sat and ate in our vechile not only that we went back in for some honey buttered biscuits. I devoured those on the road to furnace creek city. On the return trip back to Los Angeles as I cannot check in twice. We filled up on gas, restroom and bought a few souvenirs.

Based on my experience and what I observed, there appears to be a serious lack of communication and structure coming from management. Unfortunately, that creates a frustrating environment not only for customers but likely for the employees as well. Because of this, I would not feel comfortable returning to this location or spending a single dime there again. I truly hope management takes steps to improve the way the store is run, for both the customers and the employees who work hard there.
