I bought a scoop shovel from this Ace Hardware store on Feb. 2, used it once in early Feb., to shovel snow. Fine. I used it a 2nd time Feb. 23: the blade broke, rotated to 70 degrees from handle. Shovel is trash, made in China. My receipt says 30-day return policy. Manager stated on phone, "I could see if it broke in the first or second day, but now the snow is gone and you conveniently return the shovel.". Fact: Philadelphia had two snowstorms in 2026, one early Feb, one late Feb; thus my two uses of said shovel. He finally refunds money, after 3 calls, says I have bad attitude. I brought my house key (an original that works fine) in to have 3 aditional ones made. None of the 3 they made worked. I went back a 2nd time--same result. I went back a 3rd time--same result. I gave up & went elsewhere. read more

Purchased a new Ariens snowblower from here because I wanted to support a local hardware store instead of the usual big box stores. Their employees were very helpful and the guy who took the actual order was very nice. The price was just as competitive as a big box, but found they also would assemble and deliver at no extra cost! I have hard to find keys for a Kenworth Truck. Kenworth will sell you the keys but won't cut them. I went to Ace because they have cut them in the past. The key that Ace sells is essentially a Saturn key and won't fit the Kenworth ignition. The Kenworth key is slightly thinner than the Saturn key. I have paid for this service in the past like I was purchasing a new key but I have my own blank keys. I approached an older employee to have my keys cut. He was very rude and told me no they don't do that like I was bothering him. I have frequent this store in the past but I think this is the last time. They wonder why the big hardware stores are taking over. I thought this was the last of the few family run establishments that put the customer first, I guess I was wrong read more

The staff is always on hand and ready for advice if needed. You don't' have to search for anyone like the big box stores. They are experienced do-it-yourselfers. Lot's of products that you need in a small store. In and out in minutes. It's worth paying a few extra pennies for great local service. Although there may not be any extra pennies after the ACE Member Rewards are cashed in. read more

Krystle, was so happy and kidded with us, after ordering two classic smashburgers with fries, she stated: "oh you want the vegetarian special"! Her quick wit was appreciated by us. This ACE truly is the place with the helpful hardware man (and woman). Every time I stop in I am greeted by extra friendly and helpful employees. I am often surprised at the variety of goods that I can find in this store. I always recommend the local spot over the big box store and ACE often has exactly what I need. read more

I had a fuse blow and damage a part on my heating system, meaning we had no heat with 50 degree weather. I am immunocompromised, and can't go into a store even with a mask. I ordered the part online from ace in the afternoon. I hadn't heard back if it was ready at 3:30, and they closed at 4. I called and explained the situation, and was able to head over for curbside no contact pickup 5 mins later! read more

Store employee at Sewell, NJ store loudly boasted about his political beliefs and delusions all about the store. I found this EXTREMELY annoying and came close to telling him to shut his big mouth, but instead I just left the store and went to Home Depot. read more

This store has everything, if your looking to build a house, maybe not. I was looking for a safety suit, large chains had them, but they were cheap and didn't fit, then needed large yellow boots, drove around with no luck. Thought I'd stop at ace for plaster, some other intricate tools I know other places didn't have. Well guess what else they had, size 16-17 boots and a decent safety suite. Also the items they have, example: bird feeder, it's a quality item, ace is priced a touch hire on most things, but can't put a price on a truly squirrel proof feeder or something you just wanna buy once in a lifetime!! A Great place to get EVERY item you need, with helpful people there when you need them. I go here before the big stores for all my hardware, screen repairs, glass, keys, you name it. They do care. The only problem I have is they close early, like 6pm during the week and 8pm on Saturday. And they are in Washington Twp. not Blackwood. read more

For years, I have always loved the small-town atmosphere at Drissel's and the fact that someone could always help you find the item needed. HOWEVER, just called to get some information. Spoke with DAVE who was VERY RUDE and NOT FRIENDLY. He basically stated that this is what is available and hung up mid-conversation. Wouldn't it have been better to say this is what we have available and if you can come on in, we'd be glad to help you."???!!!! I try to patronize this store instead of the super chain stores. I sometimes get a good deal here but I must say the older woman at the register should retire. Last time I was here was a year ago for lawncare products. She was so miserable at the register that I didn't go back for a year. They had a nice sale today as I entered the store an older gentleman said hello with a smile. He grabbed the stuff I wanted, carted it up and I proceeded to pay. The woman I expected to be miserable again and I was right. I hand her my debit card and say there is NO PIN put it thru as credit. She snapped what, most people use it as debit. I tell her nicely as credit I am covered against fraud. She can't do it since she keeps pressing debit and says it won't work use your pin. I said well I guess you can't sell the stuff today. She grabs the card and yells someone come here and make a debit card a credit card. The older guy laughs and shakes his head understanding the situation, I tell her stop pressing debit and I pressed credit. BOOM it goes thru I guess I will stay away for another year or just go to the bigger stores they do price match. My fault for trying to help the locals. read more
