Instead, the driver showed-up Monday morning, while my phone ringer was off, since I wasn't expecting anything at that time. When I didn't answer his repeated calls, the driver went ahead and dumped the entire load of gravel in a single spot, of his (or their) choosing, on my property, without any direction from me. My intention had been for me to be present when he arrived, in order to guide him on where to dump multiple gravel piles along specific areas, where I know that the gravel is needed. When I saw and questioned the delivery driver, after he dumped my gravel, he pointed his finger at me and said that he had called me several times, and he then told me to take it up with the manager. The manager politely later acknowledged to me that there had been a delivery-time change. The problem is; I hadn't been notified of that change. While I understand that mistakes happen, what concerned me most was the driver's decision to enter my property and proceed without my authorization, and with his reaction afterward, which came across as dismissive and possibly driven by frustration. This created extra work and inconvenience, on my end. If you're ordering from Garoppo's, I recommend being very clear about you expecting their delivery timing to be accurate, and about them making sure, first, that you're available when their delivery truck arrives, because their delivery arrival times -based upon what I experienced, seem to be -apparently, whenever they decide to deliver, instead of when you previously have agreed to a delivery window of time. Based upon my experience, if there's any miscommunication, or if you miss a call from the delivery driver, the driver may dump materials wherever he chooses, on your property, instead of waiting for your instruction or instead of the driver just returning your order to the store. Other than that, the in-store staff at Garoppo's are always polite, friendly, and helpful. All of the above are my opinions.

Wife and I wanted to purchase some better…read morequality outdoor furniture for our patio, we ended up at Fortunoff Backyard Store in October. The store is pretty large with a lot of displays of chairs, recliners, tables, fire pits, and all things outdoors. There was also Christmas displays of faux trees and lights. The store when we were there did not have any other customers (not really a store that people would come to regularly) but slowly some others came in. The three employees rotate as to who gets what customer as they came in for a possible sale. Ours was friendly and helpful as we took our time sitting in all of the available chairs in the whole store multiple times. After we made our choice (which, of course, had to be the first set we tried) she did her best to get us into the computer system so that we could obtain financing. This is where my shopping experience turned into a comedy of errors. It had to do with not having a password and no one else had it and the manager was on vacation. It was clear that there really was no plan as to what to do and the three employees bickering at each other as to what to do. Someone finally called the manager, but then I was told I had to just try to sign up myself using my cell phone. Thankfully I was successful and they eventually got into their own systems to put in my information. After everything was done and a "final" price completed, we ended up getting a call once we were home about having to alter the prices due to an error. I was also upset about having to pay over $500 for delivery. It eventually got resolved, and we were warned that it could be more than six months to receive our patio À La Carte set. And it was. This was due to the global stoppage of goods and waiting for it to be our turn. It actually took three different delivery dates to finally get everything. We can't wait for some really nice warm weather to truly enjoy the outdoor furniture. Overall, Fortunoff Backyard Store met our needs. It's not cheap furniture, but we expect it to last. Each time we spoke with staff on the phone or in person were professional. The store is at least worth a visit if you're in need of patio furniture. It worked out well for my family. Three and a half stars, but I'm rounding up this time.

The constant rubbing of parts of table caused paint to chip and scratches.- It was horrible cheap Chinese crap. The return shipping was over $150. and requires intact packaging which was hard to keep given the sheer amount of pieces and parts. I left a review on the BB & B site that was declined (as I stated in it that the product was not worth cost and mentioned that consumers would be better off purchasing from any TJMaxx, Marshalls or Home Goods for better quality and price and that is against the review policy). When I called to have the review removed so I could leave a new one without mentioning other companies - they stated they could not do so. When I got to the register the lady (super nice) tried to get the managers attention to ask for approval, but he was too busy watching the Phillies game to care. She had to raise her voice three times before he heard her - he was only 5 feet away!!! After she asked, he said no, and turned back to watch the game. He could tell moments after (probably between plays) that I was annoyed and asked if I wanted to switch cans, but I was so exhausted and frustrated that he cared more about the game than his customer, I just left. The discount didn't matter, what mattered was that he didn't care enough to pay attention when he was needed. Hope the stupid game (yeah, I said it) was worth losing a customer.
