The other guys were out 3-4 weeks, so I decided to hire LCC. I shouldn't have been so antsy! A portion of my granite looks terrible and I am very disappointed in their response to my complaint. Apparently we had a miscommunication; Winnie (the sales person) insists that she communicated to me that the grain direction would be different at the seam, but Obviously, I did not understand what was going to happen. As you can see in my pictures, a small piece had to be cut next to my stove. It was cut off the end of a larger piece and turned the opposite way, with the grain turned 90 degrees. I'm shocked that they would install such poor craftsmanship (obviously to save money). If I would've understood what was going to happen, I would've chose a different granite that didn't have such a strong directional grain. Winnie said she would give me a discount on another slab, but I'd still be liable for $400! This is unacceptable, and shotty work, at best! To top it off, the installers were messy & didn't clean everything up in my driveway. They should've had a tarp underneath the saws to collect the dust. I have to pressure wash my driveway to get rid of the sediment. I've posted pictures of their mess as well. I wouldn't recommend this company, they're clearly more interested in cutting corners than producing a quality looking project.

This Tacoma location really impressed me with the service they provided. We were asked multiple times while shopping if we needed any assistance and that was nice. We had plenty of space to work on our designs and make a plan as well. We worked with Ryan Mckechnie at the Pro Desk and he went above and beyond for us. He even stayed past the pro desk time to make sure we had the tile we wanted to leave with that day (and have the rest delivered). The guys for loading were gone so Ryan made sure he stayed and loaded it up for us. We were so impressed with his kindness and willingness to serve. This location has earned our business! We liked how they do the work themselves (instead of hiring others) and have high standards for excellence. When we couldn't afford an add-on for the bid, they decided to surprise us by generously throw it in for us free of charge anyway. They are a couple of good Christian guys who actually care about people, care about their work, and care about reflecting God's love. In the past, we have had challenges with contractors cutting corners on quality, taking way longer than expected and continually raising the price. Working with the Gentry's was the opposite of our past horror stories. They finished when they said they would, they ensured it looked excellent and they were totally honest and upfront about the price. I would work with them again in a heartbeat and recommend anyone else to as well!
