Some fasteners were only 50% installed. Overspray! Broken turn signal inadequate re assembly of wiring. Miscommunication about payment/pick up. Imperfections/debris in the paint. I was referred to Ace Paint & Body by State Farm after my 2009 Honda Fit was both rear-ended & side-swiped by a plumbing truck. (State Farm has contract with Ace Paint & Body to repair collisions where State Farm is responsible). There was approximately $3,500.oo damage to my car which the documents stated would include "4 wheel alignment" after the repairs. Throughout the repair process, from my first visit, to when I picked up car, I found them to be both rude & unprofessional. On 3/10/2015 I picked up my car from Ace Paint & Body & was given a copy of their limited warranty on repairs. The papers indicated they subcontracted with a local business for the wheel alignment. Imagine my surprise when I decided to stop at at Goodyear Tire on my way home that day (for an oil change) & Goodyear found that my wheels were out of alignment (they provide vehicle inspection with oil change service). Not to worry I said to myself, I'll just have Ace Paint & Body honor the "90 day warranty for wheel alignment". I called Ace Paint & Body. A man named Sam answered and I told him about the incidental finding regarding my right rear wheel being out of alignment. Sam immediately told me that State Farm would not be paying for another alignment. "But I have a copy of your warranty.. as well as written assurances by State Farm that ALL repairs are guaranteed" I told him. Sam began to argue and said the "damage to my car was on left side and the the wheel out of alignment was on my right rear wheel". Of course that made no sense for many reasons. "In a collision it would be common for all four wheels to be needing alignment rather that just the 2 on the left side" I told him. "Did you only have the 2 left wheels aligned?" I asked. He said, "well, you probably damaged your right rear wheel in a previous accident." Furthermore, Sam had assured me all 4 wheels had been aligned, as the documents indicated. "How then if all 4 wheels were in alignment can you tell me that my right wheel was maligned in a previous accident?" I asked. Had that been the case, the 4 wheel alignment documents provided by Ace Paint & Body would have shown this to be the case. "Wouldn't that so-called damage have been documented as such, rather than documented as passing specs on all 4 wheels?" I asked again. This theory makes no sense to anyone with basic deduction skills. Something was wrong with either their specs or with the specs from Goodyear. I also asked why he would refuse to look into this matter, first because of my 90 day warranty & because there was another reputable automobile service center telling us we had a problem. Sam would not budge. The following day, I called Ace Paint & Body & spoke to Ricky (who identified Sam as his father). I again asked why they would not check into this before the 90 day warranty on the alignment expired. However, Ricky also stood by his father's refusal to honor the 90 day alignment warranty. Regarding quality of auto body work: When they repaired my door and reinstalled my glass, they damaged the trim which had not been previously damaged. I'm going to be honest and say that I feel like Rick assumed we weren't educated about cars and took advantage of us. Check the integrity of Ricks work before you drive off with your likely incomplete car. Our car was brand new and this was the first small collision we've been in, a 2019 mazda 3. We chose this shop to get our car repaired, after seeing the amazing reviews. The first time we went to go pick up our car we noticed a piece of the left headlight wasn't fully clipped in. (A easy solution if they did it correct in the first place) we also noticed a decent sized bubble on the paint. We relayed our grievances and were called back after the weekend to pick up our now "finished" car. This time the rear passenger window wouldn't roll up and the entire door was missing screws. We asked Rick to complete his work and he did and again sent us on our way. Now we are noticing that the windshield wipers aren't fully working anymore and get stuck on the outside of the window. We do not want to even deal with this shop again and try to have them fix it because we feel we have been taken advantage of over and over. We are extremely concerned about what else isn't completed on our car that we just haven't noticed yet. I feel like Rick assumed because we look young that we don't know what we are looking for, but he doesn't realize my fiancé went to school for auto body and could easily tell these were all easy solutions that the shop was too lazy to complete and just tried to pass it off to us. He kept giving us the runaround about how our insurance company, Geico, is "low balling him" but I don't feel like that should impact the integrity of the work. I'm still trying to figure out how insurance affects their ability to put the window properly on its track, to replace the screws they removed, and clip in the headlight. If you can choose another shop, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Or at the ve know what you are looking for when you go pick up your car. UPDATE: found more things wrong with the car from when Rick worked on it. The clear coat has drips all into the lip of the hood. An easy sanding would've fixed. They replaced our windshield and now we noticed the clip to the sensor on our windshield was found in our cup holder and the sensor shakes constantly. Not only that but it has trouble sensing when it's raining to start the wipers automatically. Rick told us he fired the guy who worked on our car but not I'm worried that he doesn't even know who he hired. This was a brand new car before I got side swiped, with all of these mess ups on repairs my car seems like a used 5 year old car. Highly recommend staying away from this shop. read more

Beware of this business. Should be called Jokers' not ace. I had to choose from a list provided by my insurance company. This place had the best reviews. All good ends there. I brought my Toyota 4Runner to them with front end damage. When I picked my vehicle up the bumper was misaligned in two spots. I was advised that this bumper is more difficult than normal and "It's impossible to install this bumper without one side not fitting properly". I'm sorry but that's absolutely ridiculous. Rick the sales guy kept on saying how good his tech was and spent the 2 hours that the insurance paid for to try and get the bumper to fit. I said that his tech was clearly not as good as he was claiming and that must be his bf because at that point he kept shouting over me and wouldn't let me speak. I took my vehicle and left. I returned a few days later to confront Rick and his daddy. Well when I went in dad had no idea about the job. When he heard me arguing with Rick he magically knew everything about the problem. They attempted to verbally assault and point the blame everywhere else except for themselves.... They installed the bumper lol. They refused to do anything or accept any kind of responsibility. I left and took the vehicle to Toyota dealer. The dealership advised that within the( "2 hours and 20 times"-Rick) the tech took the bumper on and off he damaged the mounting points and ruined the bumper. So if your vehicle is difficult, they will give it back to you mis aligned and say they did their best. They also had things on the estimate that my vehicle wasn't even equipped with. Like labor for removing and installing running boards. I have none. What a joke. Rick and daddy are scammers, you've been warned. read more

I must have the worst luck when it comes to cars. 4 years with my VW GLI and 3 1/2 accidents later, I found myself having to search for (another) autobody repair shop. Only this time, I'm far from the comforts of home. A new Floridian with a nice new bashed-in back spoiler (compliments of an FSU student), along with a dragging front spoiler (compliments of driving over a big-rig tire...hence the 1/2 accident...), I stuck with the recommendations provided by my insurance company. I also looked at Yahoo! local reviews. In short, Ace had raving Yahoo! reviews and provided a comparable price to two others I had scoped out. I explained my dual-fix situation and walked away with a quote several hundred less than the others. The price went up slightly due to parts costing more than he expected, but all in all it was fair. The owner, Sam, was able to get my car done in only a few days and the paintwork was beautiful. Four stars in part for the price variance, but moreso because I'm hesitant to give fives after only one visit. The representative on the phone was rude, Rick or something as I couldn't understand over him mumbling into the phone. Going to any car repair shop can be a little unnerving at times given you're probably not in the best mood when you get there. However, Ace does a really great job to work with you and your insurance given the unfortunate circumstance you might be in. Rick and team did a great job walking me through the process. It started with an initial review and estimate, then I brought my car back to be repaired once all of the documents were reviewed and signed electronically. Rick kept me informed almost daily on time expected for completion. I also really appreciated Ace working with Hertz car rental company to pick me up and I could even leave my rental car there to return it. Very convenient, thank you. I was a little disappointed that my repair was extended three more days because of last-minute realignment needed. I would rather have it perfect though than have any mistakes. My only piece of feedback would be to try to extend the hours of operation outside of 9 AM to 5 PM weekdays as that's when most people are at work. Car drove horrible after leaving the SECOND time. took to another repair shop and they confirmed bolts were stripped and nothing tight and told "car is unsafe to drive" do not allow your ins company to take your car to these fools! In response to your reply... His car was fine before he was in the accident.
