Ive gotten rentals from Ace before, and everyone at the counter is usually always very helpful and friendly! This visit in particular was a great experience, Ms. Nelle at the counter was very welcoming and immediately assisted me with the pick up of my rental. Answering all my questions and providing all details I needed to know. Upon exiting the lot, Ms Leticia, met me with a smile and a warm greeting. I say this because in previous experiences, not all attendants in that postion have been friendly or even acknowledge me ( the renter in the car).. just start taking pictures/video of car. Definitely had to let her know I appreciated that! So that was a nice closing to this pick up experience and makes me feel ACE and these two ladies prioritize great customer service. read more

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a car rental company. I paid the $500 deposit for the advertised $17-per-day rental and arrived with my insurance cards showing that I carry full coverage on my vehicles, including a $500 deductible. Every rental company I have ever used has accepted my insurance card as proof of coverage. However, the employee assisting me, Steve, insisted that I provide additional documentation that most people do not typically carry while traveling. When I explained that I had full coverage and multiple insured vehicles, he told me that if I did not purchase their liability coverage, I would not be allowed to rent the vehicle. He then stated that my insurance was not acceptable because it was from California and claimed California coverage limits are lower than Nevada's, despite the fact that I also have vehicles insured in Nevada. The customer service was terrible. Steve was rude, dismissive, monotone, and offered no solutions whatsoever. What made the situation even worse was that I was not the only customer having issues. Several other travelers in the office were experiencing similar problems and were being treated with the same lack of concern. This location is not conveniently located either. After taking a shuttle from the airport, you have to travel to a second rental location, only to potentially be denied a vehicle and left stranded. In my case, I was left without transportation in 104-degree weather while trying to start my vacation. The staff showed no concern for customers who were stranded and made no effort to help find alternatives. It was a frustrating, stressful, and disappointing experience from start to finish. I will never rent from this company again and would strongly recommend that travelers consider other options. read more

Updating my review from 5 stars to 1 star. I was told twice at the counter that the airport fees would be removed after my final invoice is generated. This is because I didn't utilize the shuttle or have anything to do with the airport. I was told that if the charges are not automatically removed, that I should call the customer service dept. I contacted customer service several days later and spoke with an agent. She told me that I had to be transferred to a manager at the rental location. I called and spoke with a manager who informed me that he will review the surveillence tapes and get back to me. He never got back to me. I called customer service one more time in order for them to goodwill and refund me the $30 that I'm requesting. I was told that once again, an investigation would need to be made and that I'll receive a response by today. I received a response and the fees were not refunded. I am going to dispute this charge with my bank. The chargeback fee alone will cost Ace more than the $30 promised to me. As a matter of good customer service, Ace should have honored what was told to me and refund the $30 to get me off their back. In any case, now that they didn't I'll fight this to the end. I also have pre-paid legal services and will turn this over to my attorney on retainer. Ace picked the wrong person to railroad. read more

I admit I was scared to come here. Fox seemed shady enough, like don't make it worse! Then it happened, Priceline assigned me Ace! It was non refundable so I had no choice. It's honestly sketch looking from the outside. You cannot park near the door, you have to manage a long walk from the parking area, unless you come in on a shuttle. I made the mistake of driving down the rental car return land thinking I could park closer. Nope! Not the most fun w limited mobility. Once inside it's like night and day. Clean, modern, good music. My first time in I got Leah. She's a doll! Like I said it was my first time. The policies are wild to me, after dealing w bigger brands. Larger deposit, you can ONLY go to 4 states in their cars, if you don't have a flight you can't rent without some kind of proof of residence, and my favourite was that you must provide a receipt at drop off showing you got gas within 5 miles of them! That being said, my first time I got an Elantra. It was newer but had almost 40k miles. It was clean and no odor, but the key was wild looking. They have boss at the exit who takes a video of the car going out. I chose to get out, I don't want to be filmed for anything I don't need to be. I left and all was well. I had a killer deal and decided to stay longer. Thinking it'd just be the extra day rate, I called. Ha! $15/day PLUS whatever your rate was. So didn't appreciate it but I did it. Return tried to catch me up with dst, and they give you an hour from the time you pick it up which I appreciate. We talked about it, the time was adjusted, no additional fees. The next time Priceline assigned them again. I got a different guy helping me. I never buy their coverage, the card I use and my insurance cover me. I told him no. I looked at the total on the way out. It looked right, but I didn't realize it was additional on top of what I'd already paid until later. Again I got an Elantra. This one had less than 3K miles on it. Boss was at the gate again, you leave the contract in the car for him, so I didn't see it til I left. They were close to closing but I called customer service. They said they'd escalate it and open a ticket. I've dealt w rental companies before, I didn't feel good about it. I called back and got someone at the actual location. He said he'd have the manager listen to the call again the following day. Gave me a local number and said to follow up if I didn't hear back. I didn't so I reached out. I got DeAngelo and that was the best thing that could've happened. He told me the same as the other guy, and that if I said no, it'd be refunded. He said he'd follow up w me the next day, he also gave me his email. I let anxiety get me and I sent him an email the next day, and right after pressing send. He called me. He joked I didn't trust him, and initially I wasn't sure. I'm glad my tone was chill in my email, DeAngelo is awesome! He apologized and refunded the charge, I thanked him for being a person of his word. Sadly it's rare. I had to get another car, I encountered Reinna. She's also fabulous! She did try to tell me I couldn't rent bc I wasn't flying, after we cleared that up she also saw my history and I had no problem. She uses wipes for EVERYTHING! A woman after my own heart. I carry a bag when I first get a car. It's got wipes, sanitizer, etc to get things wiped. I'm glad I did too, the cleanup isn't always the best. I got another Elantra with 2900 miles. It appeared clean, but I thought I lost something under the seat. There was large crumbs and a grape living out its dream of becoming a raisin. I encountered Brandie at return. Comedic and thorough. She deleted my phone out before I even walked away! Next time I got Leah again. Excellent customer service again. I needed an suv, ended up w a Tucson again w less than 3k miles. Interior could've been cleaner. This time they left the previous person's receipt in the console. Alllll their info right there. I left it. Brandie and I talked about it at return. She cracks me tf up! Boss at the exit finally remembered me. I guess in part bc I get out for filming. He's solid tho, very nice. I've interacted with DeAngelo a few more times since. I told him I didn't mean to bug him, but he appreciates hearing from his customers and made me feel at ease. Pros- New, low mileage fleet AMAZING staff - Thanks again to Leah, DeAngelo, Reinna, and Brandie! Y'all understand customer service and care! 60 min grace from when you pick it up Cons- The building setup The policies - 4x now and no one's ever asked for that receipt Cars need to be cleaned better I had another rental but got assigned to Gilespie. Worst experience I've ever had with ace rental! Been renting with them all over the United States and never had this issue before. Refused my service and made up their own rules. Flight booked(they said I can't book it in front of them but I booked it in advance and confirmation plus flight was provided), deposit was willing to be paid, proof of insurance showed. Tried to charge me $700 deposit because they felt like it. Extremely unprofessional even the manager even had his personal phone to record us out while we waited for our uber. This is one of the best rental car experiences I've ever had. The service was fast, efficient, and genuinely attentive--something I rarely find at rental agencies. Even though the location is small, the attention to detail is outstanding. Nelle provided phenomenal service, and Anthony (who I believe is the manager) was excellent as well--both delivered truly amazing customer service. Their pricing is unbeatable and significantly better than anywhere else I've checked. The vehicles were in impeccable condition and thoroughly cleaned. Sloooow customer service! Poor selection of vehicles to choose from. Located in the far back of a dark and sketchy parking lot that you can't pull up to with your vehicle. Instead, you have to park a great distance away and travel on foot to reach the entrance of ace rental car. And last but certainly not lease I was overcharged for the car that I rented. I rented a Dodge Durango for one week which came out to a total of $709.81. They put my credit card on file, I signed the contract, received the keys, and that was that... or at least that's what I thought. Once I returned the vehicle (on time) and checked my email later on that day I seen that they charged me exactly $749.87. I promptly called and spoke with multiple representatives who couldn't explain the additional $40.87. I signed a CONTRACT for a specific dollar amount and was charged more than what was stated in said contract. There's something awfully fishy about that. I've rented countless rental cars from various rental car companies, and I've never had a scenario like this take place. This was my first time renting from Janky Ace. As you may have surmised based on my terrible experience, this will also be my last time renting from Janky Ace Rent-A-Car. Word to the wise: if you're in the market for a good rental car to take on a nice vacation like me or to use for whatever reason you need a rental car for, but don't want to feel like you were conned, swindled, lied to, hoodwinked, bamboozled or tricked into paying more money even after you signed a contract... save yourself the headache, search elsewhere and definitely don't do business with janky ace rental car. read more

An absolute nightmare! I parked at the main car rental building. They are located 3 miles away in what looks like a bunker in a war zone. The office is filthy and grimy. Kids running around screaming, people arguing, etc. I was number 3 in line and it still took forever. They told me I was 'required' to buy their insurance per state law (a blatant lie) if I could not show them a utility bill from my house AND my entire insurance policy with declaration page! Seriously? Who carries their power and gas bill with them or their declarations page? They said that my insurance card (which I carry in my wallet) is not valid for proof of insurance! It's a scam. They are not renting cars here. They are selling insurance. That's why cars are rented for $6-$10/day but insurance ads $30-$50/day. It took 1.5 hours after I arrived to drive away. If you rent from a reputable company at the main building it takes 10 minutes. I have never in my life had to deal with such a nightmare car rental. I will NEVER step foot in here again. Clinton at Ace lied to me about the state of Nevada/Las Vegas requiring special insurance Ricart of my own auto insurance and my credit card rental Benefits. Ace even has a very official professionally printed sign that Clinton pointed at to prove that regardless of all of my coverage I still had to buy their supplemental coverage of $21 a day which basically doubled my rental cost. No employee does this unless Ace and their management is specifically incentivizing them to lie to their customers in order to charge them. So it's not the case of employee grift, it's the case of management pushing this type of extortion of their customers. Ideally lawyers will get involved and there will be a class action lawsuit against Ace for toxic business practices. read more

If you ever gotten picked up at harry reid rental center. I've been told by another customer. I want everyone to know that the drivers take pictures of the guards and follow them all the way to their house. Thats very unsettling thing to do. Most of these guards look like their in 22-26 years old. Its so concerning and i feel unsafe knowing that theres drivers can hide behind the pillars take pictures while they wait for costumers to pick up. Its kind of gross seeing an old man making a success gesture when you see a pacific guard and start taking pictures of them while you drive as well. It feels like theres an attention of harm if youre following guards all the way at their house. why are you following them home in the first place. They didn't give you permission. They don't know you. They don't even talk to you at all. Being a driver as a career how is this part of your job. read more

The rental was $120 for 3 days per Expedia. I get there and all of a sudden they're asking for bills with my name on it, a $600 deposit, and I felt it was weird the lady kept reiterating 'no smoking in the vehicle' a lot of times. Idk if they do that to everyone but it felt like it was insinuated that I smoke which I never have in my life! Then I get in the car and it smells like smoke and the seats are dirty which the guy takes a photo of and notes the smoke smell on my way out. Anyway I enjoy my trip, I bring the car back hours earlier than the due date with the tank completely full & a receipt from the gas station 2 miles away as requested, nothing is wrong with the vehicle, they survey it and I'm told I'll get my deposit back. Two days later I check my bank and see that they charged me $116. I emailed them and have received no explanation as to WHY I would be charged dang near the full price of the 3 days of having the car out of my deposit??? I showed my own insurance coverage which was approved so I shouldn't be charged for that, I got no tickets or had no legal issues in the car, it was brought back in the condition it came in. Then I come on here and I see everyone talking about how scammy this ACE is and it's so true. Do better people! And if you want to charge a lot, just charge up front don't do it in sneaky ways. read more

This rental company is alright. From the Vegas airport you have to take two shuttles to get here. It's very far out from the airport. When we arrived late Thursday night it took a long time to get a vehicle. We waited about 30-40 mins. And I guess they ran out of regular cars so they gave us a red mini van which was nice and spacious for just four of us. But the vehicle we got had scratches already on it so we had to tell to make sure they are aware. The next day we had to come back to add my boyfriend's name on the vehicle and that part was very quick and easy. Too bad you can't add names online or through an app. Per usual you have to fill the car with gas before return and I think return was easy. We just pulled up the front and told them we were returning and they took the car. I would give them 3.5 but I gave a 4 just to be nice. read more

Do NOT rent from here. Let's start with the shuttle. You have to take the regular shuttle to the rental car building. But it doesn't end there. You THEN have to get on a smaller shuttle to go to an ever further site, about 10-15 minutes away. To some sketchy lot where there are a bunch of 18 wheelers parked. It's a huge pain in the a-- The car: my car was a Hyundai Sonata. It was kind of beat up. Every pothole made the thing clank and clunk. Every time I started the vehicle I'd get the warning that the oil needed to be changed. The seats were filthy. The car had close to 60,000 miles on it. The insurance: we paid in advance. We have our own insurance which covers us in rentals as well. However when we received the final bill they charged us $60 in random insurance fees. Soooo many people in these reviews have complained about the same thing. Seems very scammy Returning the car: MAKE EXTRA TIME FOR DROP OFF!!! This isn't one of those places you just drop and go. They had one person doing the vehicle intakes. And she was very chatty with everyone else ahead of me. Between that and having to go through the whole shuttle to another shuttle fiasco, I barely made my flight. Like.... Why would you take people from the rental car place to the other rental car place??? Why don't just take people to the damn airport??? Seems lazy. Pro: the shuttle driver was a nice guy. Chatted with him on my drive. He was great. In summary: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. I'd have happily paid an extra $50-$100 to a better rental car place just to avoid all of this hassle. My only complaint is that they close at 8 o'clock P.m. That is an issue picking up the car if the flight is late. Our flight got in at 10:30 so they were closed when we went to pick up the car. We had to Uber to the hotel and then pick up the car the next day. When we went home, we had to bring the car back before 8 PM and our flight didn't leave until 4 o'clock the next morning so that was totally inconvenient. As far as I know, they're the only ones that close early like that. you also have to have a printed copy of your insurance card otherwise they charge you for the extra insurance and there is no way around that. You can't just have the app on your phone. You have to have a printed card. read more

I prepaid car rental through capital one travel and when I got there they said my car wasn't available, I could either pay an upgrade fee or wait hours till my car was ready. The invoice looked overcharged and when I asked about it they said that's because my prepaid wasn't included yet and it would be refunded when I returned car. Ends up there were a bunch of junk fee added that cost more than the prepaid rental fee I paid. Never renting here again. read more

ACE Car rental at LAS: Best to avoid. They're cheaper because: 1. Not only are they offsite, but they're even more offsite. You take a first shuttle to the rental car building, then ANOTHER to ACE. Oh - signage is bad, so ASK someone at the rental car center which specific shuttle goes to ACE. (This added a good half-hour delay to getting to our hotel.) 2. ACE requires (they don't tell you this until they text you return instructions) that you need to return the car clean! No garbage, no "excess" dirt. Probably not a problem on a 2-day rental in the sunshine, but for more days, especially if you encounter snow or rain, you may want to go through a car wash before returning the car. read more
