Reviews With Photos - Fox Rent A Car

Fox popped up again, the only rental with a low rate, during my Priceline search so I went with Fox Rent A Car for this recent Las Vegas trip. It was during the Christmas Holiday weekend and I am glad I found a vehicle! We got the 2 shuttle to Fox and had no problem with this for shuttle service to and from the airport, the lines were long but they have more staff assisting the front desk. FYI- IMPORTANT, the only thing that has change that went in to effect, Nevada Law since 10/2025 is you will have to show Liability coverage. Luckily my insurance was quick to send that over to me while I called them on the phone. If the line is long while you wait to get help, this may be the reason why. The car we got was great and new condition this time, the only thing that bothered me was we returned our rental early 5 am, we were told to just leave the keys in the car and will get an email confirmation once the car is checked in. To this day, I didn't receive any email yet. Here is Fox Rent -a-Car's # , if you need to call them : (702) 964-1320

Yes, lower cost, but be prepared to be inconvenienced. First, to get to this location, you must first take shuttle from airport to the rental car center and then wait for another shuttle to take you from the rental car center via a 5-10 min ride to their office. FYI, an uber ride from the airport to Fox office is about $17. Other than avoiding the shuttle bus shuffle, you may arrive before loads of people arrive off the shuttles. Line was quite long and they only had two customer service. Process was quick once we were served. A little upsell attempt, but nothing annoying. We had to wait for a car as none were cleaned. Once we got our car, the rest of our experience was great. Return was quick and we got a Lyft back to the airport for $12. Well worth the spend versus having to shuffle bags from one shuttle van to the next.

I just want to share my experience with FOX Rental in Las Vegas. I rented a car for one week through Expedia as part of a package that included my flight, hotel, and rental. As soon as I got to the rental office, the girl at the counter was rude from the beginning. I provided my ID and credit card, and she immediately told me that I needed to purchase insurance. I explained that I had already purchased insurance through Expedia, but she refused to listen or even look at my documentation. She said, "I don't need to see anything, you need to purchase liability insurance. You are obligated to have it." She then started entering information into her computer and told me to sign on a small pad. Mistake #1: She did not show me the monitor or the agreement I was signing. That was my fault, I should have insisted on seeing a hard copy or reviewing it on her screen. Instead, I trusted her and signed. Unfortunately, that turned out to be an agreement that included optional insurance and additional fees. She also tried to upsell prepaid gas, claiming it was cheaper because they have their own pumps at the rental office. She even showed me prices that were supposedly higher outside. I declined and said I wanted the standard full-to-full option. She kept insisting, but I said no. When we went to pick up the car, I documented its condition with photos and pointed out the issues to the employee doing the inspection before exit. He acknowledged them. However, the car was also dirty inside, which was disappointing and not what I expected from a rental. About 30 minutes later, I checked my agreement and realized my credit card had been charged for insurance and other extra fees. I immediately called FOX Rental, and the call center agent said he would make a note of the situation. I also emailed the manager. Long story short, I drove from Las Vegas to Page, AZ, and while there, I noticed that the front tires were extremely worn and unsafe for us and for others on the road. I took photos and videos, which I will share. I emailed the manager again, but never received a response. When we returned to Las Vegas and dropped off the car, I showed them the condition of the front tires and asked who is responsible for inspections, since the car should meet safety and legal standards. I never received an answer. I hope my bad experience helps others: always check everything carefully before renting a car, and make sure you read all documents before signing anything. Don't make the same mistake I did.

If you value your safety or your life...DO NOT RENT HERE! They rented me a car with known mechanical issues and it cutoff in the middle of the freeway and I almost died and then it did it again when I got off...you know what the solution was after seeing me shaking and the counter agent was the only one who cared enough to ask me if I was okay...an upgrade to an suv like gas is not high enough and my life is worth a measly upgrade! Poor management! Two clerks were amazing that manager could have gave two you know what...as I get out there is writing on the window that I did not see when I picked it up last night! Knowingly placing a faulty car out for use could have cost me my life and they could care less! Aaron is the name and o picked it up yesterday around 10 if fox cares to make it right...the upgrade they put me in needs an oil change in 8 miles and my trip is over 1000

    David B.

Wow, I am so shocked. I cannot believe Fox finally spent money on getting a better shuttle. It's the cost of doing business but they're doing good now they're the cheapest car rental places you could ever get. That's the budget Rent-A-Car place. If you don't have a lot of money they will make it stretch. Some people charge $40 a day. They charge $22 a day always go on southwest.com and look up Rent-A-Car and you get the best deal and you also get points.

It's honestly sketch looking from the outside. You cannot park near the door, you have to manage a long walk from the parking area, unless you come in on a shuttle. I made the mistake of driving down the rental car return land thinking I could park closer. Nope! Not the most fun w limited mobility. Once inside it's like night and day. Clean, modern, good music. My first time in I got Leah. She's a doll! Like I said it was my first time. The policies are wild to me, after dealing w bigger brands. Larger deposit, you can ONLY go to 4 states in their cars, if you don't have a flight you can't rent without some kind of proof of residence, and my favourite was that you must provide a receipt at drop off showing you got gas within 5 miles of them! That being said, my first time I got an Elantra. It was newer but had almost 40k miles. It was clean and no odor, but the key was wild looking. They have boss at the exit who takes a video of the car going out. I chose to get out, I don't want to be filmed for anything I don't need to be. I left and all was well. I had a killer deal and decided to stay longer. Thinking it'd just be the extra day rate, I called. Ha! $15/day PLUS whatever your rate was. So didn't appreciate it but I did it. Return tried to catch me up with dst, and they give you an hour from the time you pick it up which I appreciate. We talked about it, the time was adjusted, no additional fees. The next time Priceline assigned them again. I got a different guy helping me. I never buy their coverage, the card I use and my insurance cover me. I told him no. I looked at the total on the way out. It looked right, but I didn't realize it was additional on top of what I'd already paid until later. Again I got an Elantra. This one had less than 3K miles on it. Boss was at the gate again, you leave the contract in the car for him, so I didn't see it til I left. They were close to closing but I called customer service. They said they'd escalate it and open a ticket. I've dealt w rental companies before, I didn't feel good about it. I called back and got someone at the actual location. He said he'd have the manager listen to the call again the following day. Gave me a local number and said to follow up if I didn't hear back. I didn't so I reached out. I got DeAngelo and that was the best thing that could've happened. He told me the same as the other guy, and that if I said no, it'd be refunded. He said he'd follow up w me the next day, he also gave me his email. I let anxiety get me and I sent him an email the next day, and right after pressing send. He called me. He joked I didn't trust him, and initially I wasn't sure. I'm glad my tone was chill in my email, DeAngelo is awesome! He apologized and refunded the charge, I thanked him for being a person of his word. Sadly it's rare. I had to get another car, I encountered Reinna. She's also fabulous! She did try to tell me I couldn't rent bc I wasn't flying, after we cleared that up she also saw my history and I had no problem. She uses wipes for EVERYTHING! A woman after my own heart. I carry a bag when I first get a car. It's got wipes, sanitizer, etc to get things wiped. I'm glad I did too, the cleanup isn't always the best. I got another Elantra with 2900 miles. It appeared clean, but I thought I lost something under the seat. There was large crumbs and a grape living out its dream of becoming a raisin. I encountered Brandie at return. Comedic and thorough. She deleted my phone out before I even walked away! Next time I got Leah again. Excellent customer service again. I needed an suv, ended up w a Tucson again w less than 3k miles. Interior could've been cleaner. This time they left the previous person's receipt in the console. Alllll their info right there. I left it. Brandie and I talked about it at return. She cracks me tf up! Boss at the exit finally remembered me. I guess in part bc I get out for filming. He's solid tho, very nice. I've interacted with DeAngelo a few more times since. I told him I didn't mean to bug him, but he appreciates hearing from his customers and made me feel at ease. Pros- New, low mileage fleet AMAZING staff - Thanks again to Leah, DeAngelo, Reinna, and Brandie! Y'all understand customer service and care! 60 min grace from when you pick it up Cons- The building setup The policies - 4x now and no one's ever asked for that receipt Cars need to be cleaned better I had another rental but got assigned to Gilespie. Ngl I was bummed to not see my buds at Ace! The pros outweigh the cons for me, and now I'm excited when assigned to them.

Expect a very long line!!…read more So why do I rent a car in Las Vegas? When traveling with a nonagenarian it is so much easier to have a car. As a bonus, love checking out places off the strip like Zaytoon, Hash House A Go Go, and the Neon Museum. Red Rock Canyon and Hoover Dam are great day trips made much easier with a car. The car rental process is never easy in Vegas, though. Take the shuttle and then wait, wait, wait. We've been given a car that was rented to someone else (and had to return for another car) or been told that what we rented is sold out, do we want an upgrade for an additional cost? No, thanks. Still, being able to drive, makes it much easier. So we wait, then head off the strip to grab lunch, stop by a grocery store to pick up bottles of water and Gatorade and then head to our on the strip hotel to park. Due to flight delays and shuttle traffic, we arrived at the rental center around midnight. We had booked a pickup truck but realized it didn't have enough storage, so we asked to switch to a car from the Presidential lane -- something that's never been an issue before. That's when we encountered Leanne (short woman with brown hair in kind of a Dora-type haircut), who was shockingly rude and unprofessional. When my fiancé politely asked, "Could you please check what my other options are?", she mocked him in front of everyone, saying, "Look at this guy -- he's begging me now." We were stunned. When we told her this kind of behavior is not okay, she smiled, gave us her name, and said "Feel free to complain on me" like she was proud of it -- then walked away as if she had done nothing wrong. We contacted Hertz Customer Service that same night. They apologized, promised to remove some charges, offer a free rental, and file an official complaint against her. Two months later -- nothing. No follow-up, no credits, and no accountability. Now my fiancé is on yet another hour-long call trying to resolve what should have been a straightforward issue. This was not just disappointing -- it was demeaning. For a company that prides itself on elite membership experiences, this was anything but. If she hates her job, she should do something else instead of ruining everyone's days and vacations. Please put her on probation or fire her, she was terribly demeaning- not customer service support whatsoever.

It took a hot minute for our luggage to arrive on the carousel, so that didn't help! When we got to the rental car 'corral' there was a line about 15 people deep. Thankfully, Alamo had 3, possibly 4, desks open, staffed & helping customers. Despite the high number of people in line, we did NOT wait more than 10-15 minutes before getting to the desk ourselves. Picking up the rental was a bit out of the ordinary for us this time. After we filled out the contract & paid for the class of car we wanted, we were directed outside to the Alamo lot. Once there, the porter directed us to row 4 and to pick out whichever car we wanted. We didn't have much to choose from... but it was nice that we could choose ourselves. We were able to compare trunk space as well as head space for my husband who's considerably taller than I am. After we made our choice and exited the lot, the adventures began. The car was clean with low mileage at pick up. We simply chose it because of its beautiful blue color, lol. Priorities!! 3 states in 5 days! The car was most definitely fuel efficient. We used less than $100 in gas! It was spacious for me... but not so much for my husband. It drove comfortably across the highways & through the tunnels. It did well in the desert heat, as well! Returning it was seamless, as well! We gave ourselves a little extra time as we had to drop off and take the shuttle back to the airport. For once, I can recommend a car rental location.... Therefore, please do rent rent cars from this company because they are not in the customer's best interesth.

I wish I could give a zero…read more First of all, to say that the rental car pickup is at the airport is misleading, to say the least. TWO shuttles were taken. One from the airport to a rental car facility. Then ANOTHER shuttle to the Economy rental facility (which is in an uninviting barren lot). Economy seems to only have one shuttle/driver so there was a long wait for the shuttle, and we didn't fit on the first one. A LONG morning after our flight, just to arrive at the rental place. Then, the line IN the dilapidated car rental facility was SLOWWWWW. EVERYONE was upset, and the workers didn't seem to care. They were taking breaks and in no hurry. Then, they had me pre-pay for a full tank of gas, and when I got my car, it was empty. I could go on an on, but you get the picture. Horrible. When I returned the car (a night early because they don't open very early in the morning), they didn't even ask to look at it or anything. They let me go, and I still had the car keys in my pocket. I gave them the keys. Worst experience EVER.
