I am very pleased with the way that we were treated and the super quality of their work. Our yard looks absolutely beautiful. I will be posting some pictures soon, when the weather cooperates, and my yard is re-landscaped. Thank you to Nick, Mike and the boys for the hard work and polite respect that they gave us. I highly recommend them for your concrete needs!

Don't hire Capozzi…read more We were referred to Nick Capozzi Paving. We had a blacktop driveway approach that had to be done. It was scheduled 2 months in advance for the first week of October. This made me nervous being that winter was coming soon but I was assured that since it was a very small area, it would be a quick job and they would do it when they had another job in the area. Two guys (mid twenties) showed up and cleaned off the driveway approach. They removed the loose junks of old blacktop which created big potholes in my driveway approach. Three more men (mid twenties) showed up, looked at the task, and set out all their tools. One of them called in to report they arrived. Another tells me this job will only take a half hour. A truck load of blacktop immediately arrived. The guy on the phone hangs up and says, we have to go to our next job a block away because the customer's upset that we aren't there yet. The 50 yr old truck driver, who's about to start dispensing blacktop, says, "Well this is only going to take us 20 minutes. Let's just pour it and we can leave 2 guys to finish it and the rest of us will head to the next job." The mid twenty-year-old boss says, "Nope, that was Nick Capozzi on the phone and he said to leave this and immediately go to the next job." I said, well how am I supposed to use my driveway now that you pulled all the old junks of blacktop out of it and left huge potholes? Are you coming back right after that other job? The boss responds, No, you'll have to call the office to reschedule. I called the office multiple times. I never swore and I never got hot-headed because this company was referred to me by a close friend. I simply asked for a date to get the work done. NO ONE EVER RETURNED ANY OF MY CALLS. Well I realize that my small black driveway approach, from the street to my concrete driveway, was only a small $1200 job to Capozzi, but once they pulled out the junks of old blacktop, they made my driveway unusable AND winter was coming. After a few weeks of no return calls, I had to call around to other companies. Most of them said, they were no longer accepting jobs for this season because winter was coming. I found a company to do it. I had to pay them nearly double to make a special trip and do my driveway approach. That company stated, they weren't accepting any more jobs for this season. But once I explained my situation and the small size of the job, they agreed to do it. Thankfully it got done before it snowed. To this day I have no idea why Nick Capozzi would have a crew of guys show up, tear out some of the existing broken blacktop, clean and prep the driveway for blacktop, but never finish the job. It was the most bizarre incident that ever occurred. I mentioned this to the guy who referred me to them. I asked, does Nick Capozzi hate you so that's why he did this to me? He had no explanation. Though he said, he will never, ever, refer Nick Capozzi to anyone ever again. So I guess if you want a crew of guys to come out and rip out a driveway for FREE, call Capozzi. But if you want a driveway installed, call anyone else.

The pool deck had to be poured on two consecutive days because the amount of concrete needed was underestimated. The 2 pours look very different (stamped textures do not match)! I also paid to have a tan tint applied. The deck looks like grey concrete with no color. Concrete was chipped around a window well and the chiseled edge coping is so rough that is has cut my grandkids. Chuck, our salesman, came to inspect the job after I expressed my concerns and agreed with all of my concerns. He promised all would be taken care of. It has now been 2 months with no action from Lakeside. I have texted weekly with either no response or "we are working on it". I called and was told the owner would call me, but he has not. I even had North Eastern Pool try to intervene on my behalf. Their efforts to have Lakeside take action were also ignored. I do not recommend Lakeside Concrete based on my experience with them.

He told me he had taken another job and might come by later that day or possibly another day. I found this to be very unprofessional. He eventually arrived the next day at 11:00 a.m. The agreement was that the stump would be ground down to lawn level so I could cover it with soil and plant grass. However, he left a large portion of the stump about a foot above ground, making it impossible to seed over it as planned. I told him I would handle cleaning up the wood chips myself, since my neighbor offered to help with his tractor. But when my neighbor saw the stump, he said the job was not done properly and that it was far too high above ground to be seeded. When I called Darren to ask if he would be returning to finish the work, he became extremely aggressive and verbally abusive--calling me a "retarded bitch" and threatening to dump debris in my driveway so I couldn't leave my house. Because of these threats, I had to file a police report and install security cameras. I refused to pay for a job that was clearly incomplete and poorly done. Everyone who has seen the stump agrees it was not properly ground down to lawn level.
