First impressions matter Well five stars on that impression. I decided to email a photo of the tattoo I wanted. A reply came immediately from the owner followed by a phon call - love it. I matter and my business matters. Due to my limited availability I was able to set up an appointment that works for me. Now that is the first impression-I will follow up with photos along with a review when I get my stuff done. 9/11/2018 Well my first impression was right on. I have my piece and it is exactly what I wanted - their is a beautiful story behind my art. I had the pleasure of spending a couple of hours with Doug - my friend and I had wonderful conversations with him about our interests. Did a lot of research from Olympia to Tacoma and Wayne's work impressed me the most. Went in to make an appointment and he took the time to explain the eaches of what I wanted and why it needed some refining. I go back in two weeks to finish the soft shading. I got an American flag under ripped skin. Looks amazing I'll post pics when complete. All I can say is wow!!! Wayne's artistic ability is amazing. Shop is super clean and people are honest and friendly. Yes it's pricey but you get what you pay for and when shopping for a tattoo artist quality is the most important. Price shouldn't be a topic at all. People pay a couple hundred for shoes but try and bargain shop for a tattoo. Lol makes no sense. read more

My wife and I got tattoos here year ago.A younger guy Did mine and older guy did my wife's.I have not had issue with my tattoo.my wife on other hand has suffered a year with here's .A few months later the tatto began to raise .over the year bothe the lady bugs became 1/4 thick like scab .My wife has another tattoo with red ink from another tattoo place did not have this problem.I know a lot time gone by and I'm worried and upset with wife not making sure something done.She went one Dr and put antibiotics nothing happens last few months it worse she went Dr again and has appointment surgeon but now it seems discharge and she going Dr tommorrow.Im worried and it's awful looking the Dr said different tattoo artists use different inks. Recently, I took my daughter for her first tattoo and her artist went out of his way to make sure her experience was memorable and special. Her tattoo looks amazing as well. Last month I went to Jimi Bones to have my daith pierced. Jimi seemed very experienced and was very nice. He showed me that all the needles and equipment were sterile, which I greatly appreciated. He is very kind and helped talk me through the process... However a couple days ago I started having sever pain and brown/green puss. I attempted to go in to Jimi's shop but he was out for the day. I went to another piercing shop in Tacoma and learned that they jewelry used for my daith was wrong. It was not implant grade and had a black coating. The piercer took out the ring, drained the infection, and put a new silver implant grade ring in. The ring I was originally given was coated black and left black specks in the piercing which is what is believed to of caused infection. (I completely followed the aftercare instructions) I am not saying that Jimi is a bad piercer. However I have since heard another story that was the same from last month. Jimi is a great guy, however I would advise doing some research before getting your piercing. read more

I went in here to get a tattoo fixed. I had a lowercase a that looked like a lower case u, just a simple line and done. They told me that I might as well get another tattoo because shop minimum is $50. I said, Fine, I will get my company logo. Big Mistake. I gave them a full sized (1920 x 1080) pic of my logo. Very large. It's a picture of a 50's style cartoon man with a black T shirt and 3 tattoos, a watch and a necklace giving a thumbs up against a blue, circular background. It's modeled after Vault Boy from the Fallout Game Series. After the tattoo was over, I noticed that the artist had shaded all of the man's exposed skin. The original has no shading on the skin, only highlights. My tattoo had no highlights. Some of the lines were crooked and off-place from the original and the man's tattoos were all completely different, with two of them even being the wrong color. The background circle was a green-blue, not a blue, which is a problem with a Chroma-Keyed Green screen. The man's beard is placed wrong and he looks like he has a double chin. The first person at work to see this tattoo said,"Lol, why is he BLACK?!" The little man is a caricature of myself. Now, I have a poorly drawn, fatter, blacker version of myself on my arm. I was advised that I could sue the shop for the cost of having the tattoo removed, but I just wanted an apology and I wanted that the artist be told not to take artistic liberty with a company logo. I talked to a guy over the phone, he advised me to come in so they could have a look, even after I said that the damage is irreparable. (I know my tattoos) Once I arrived, the man on the phone turned out to be a large, unhealthy looking Mexican man. He spoke briefly with me before laughing at me an telling me that it looks EXACTLY like the original. I said that it clearly did not because the original is not Shaded on the skin. He said, 'yeah, man, but it's a tattoo.' I said, well, this line is also crooked and his tattoos don't look like my tattoos. "He said that's impossible. You can't make a tattoo on that man look like your tattoos." I said they look like mine on the logo. He said The work was too fine. I showed him a much better tattoo than the one I got in his shop. I said "tell me again about how it's impossible to put intricate detail into a tattoo . . .?" He argued with me for several more minutes before I said "I told you that I don't want anything from you. Not money, not another god awful tattoo. So, why are you being so rude and condescending?" He blew me off. I said, 'That's it, I'm talking to the owner about you.' He said "I am the owner!!' and laughed at me again. I said,"well, then you lost my business and I will be reviewing you on Yelp." He had nothing to say to that. The logo was really simple, I honestly have no clue how they could have messed it up so bad and then followed it up by having ridiculously poor customer service. Funny thing is, through all of it, I never got that u turned into an a. TL;DR These guys messed up my tattoo and then talked Trash to me about it. I would seriously consider another location if I were reading this. Artist's name was 'Johnny'. read more

got this from them, one lesson is never find a place for cheap ones specially on tattoos just go with the expensive price yet you'll leave happy. ask him to fix it too but he said he was fully book and schedule me for a month just for the retouch. it was fine when I leave because it was swelling and when it heals there's lapses you can see it by yourself.
