Tree Times after trimming ip the trunk

(Pictures show how the tree was initially positioned, how it shifted when another-NOT Tree Times- company failed to remove it properly, and how Tree Times literally came to the rescue) I don't even know how to begin to thank Billy Kelley and his crew. On Saturday, a wind storm came through, uprooting a tree onto my house. Tragically, my husband was killed by the tree. I immediately called my insurance company and sent pictures of the tree's positioning from all angles. They contracted with a tree company, who showed they valued profit over everything else, by subcontracting to a company who clearly had no experience with trees. I did tell the company my insurance assigned that my husband died as a result of the fallen tree and sent the same pictures of all angles of the tree to them. You would think they would have used their own professionals, if they had any, to work on the project, or reject it because it was above their ability level. Nope. The subcontracted, unskilled workers came out at 5pm, while everyone on my street was meeting about how to help us in front of my house. Without moving any personal items out of the way, or protecting any landscaping, or my daughter's frog pond, they proceeded to climb onto the roof and hack away without any apparent plan. They did not use ropes to direct branches, or anchoring. The uprooted tree was leaning on the house. Anyone with half a brain would know to start with the top branches to lighten the load, while using the heavy root ball to their advantage. Nope. They cut from both ends at the same time, removing the root ball. This, of course, caused the tree to push down, snapping the ridge beam and pushing further into my house. By the time I got there on Monday morning, the tree trunk was precariously laying through my house, ready to cut it in half. Nothing was under it to support it, no tarps were laid over it to protect my house from the rain that was predicted and came. I called the previous company to ask what they were thinking, and tell them to cease work. The only smart thing that company did was to call Billy to fix their long series of mistakes. When Billy arrived, he was visibly upset by what the other company did. He immediately started making phone calls. He talked to someone from my insurance company, even though I was not yet assigned an adjustor, to get permission to start work. He promised me he would make it right that day, even if they had to work into the night. He also gave me the contact information of a disaster mitigation and rebuilding contracting company that he has worked with for 20 years and trusts. Spartan has been just as amazing as all of the crew at tree times. The storm felled trees in my neighborhood, affecting over 30 other homes. That caused a shortage in crews and cranes. Billy's team arrived that night, as promised. They were able to secure 2 cranes, which were necessary to now lift the tree trunk straight into the air, to prevent further damage. (I had gone into the house before and after the removal. It was as if someone had picked a toothpick off of a table. They somehow managed not to cause any further damage. Billy's team set up at around 5pm. They had the tree gone and the roof boarded up by 7pm. The team that tarps the house worked past dark, as promised, to prevent any further water damage. After reading an article, I also found out that Billy put off 3 other projects for me and my family. His 3 clients had heard about what happened and, when they requested to complete my job first, the clients said, "yes." I can't thank Billy, his crew, and those 3 families enough. That kindness and selflessness is not something I thought was common anymore. If you are looking for a tree company who not only does a great job, but cares, call these guys now.

A company that truly goes above and beyond in their service! We initially called Scott and asked…read morefor an estimate because we wanted to make sure an area above a future generator install site was clear of dangerous branches. While he was here giving an estimate, we asked for several separate estimates (due to a need to break up costs for us) for taking down dangerous trees and for removing twenty years of tree limb debris. We have a back yard that is an acre of basically woods, but we need to begin keeping it clear to cut down on tick, mosquito, termite, snake and rodent habitat. We are getting older, and managing leaves has become impossible with all the tree limbs and branches that come down each year. The spouse will not agree to cut down a lot of the trees, so we needed to get some clean up done. Scott was on time for the estimate and sent us an estimate via email afterwards with everything broken down just the way that we asked him to do. He also presented his certificate of insurance. Scott was reasonable enough in the estimate, that we decided to go ahead and have him do all of the work all at once. He also provided a military discount, which was kind and helpful. His estimate was somewhere in the middle of the six to eight that we got, so his demeanor and professional attitude along with the pricing is what made him our choice. Scott does not use spikes while climbing the trees, and proudly says so on his web site. That was also a deciding factor for us. The work was scheduled to take three days total. Scott and a helper came out and took down nine trees for us and trimmed dangerous branches off several more. Some of the trees were right next to our house, and these were taken down with no issues. One of the trees was a dead tree that my husband was going to fell himself but did not get to. Scott also cut up and removed a dead tree that the husband DID fell but never finished cutting up and removing. When it came time to finish up the job and grind down stumps and remove the yard waste, he did so with the aid of his very hard working daughter, and they did a fabulous job! I really cannot say enough nice things about this company. By the time they left, we felt like family (the good kind) had gone after a short visit, and we were going to miss having them around taking care of us. Good people!

Excellent service. Great and very professional job. Scott was on top of the entire job and kept…read moreme well informed. My oak was around 80' tall and 7-8' across at the base. It was completely wrapped in poison ivy vines that were 2" thick. Funny part here is Scott said he had passed by my shop many times and seen the tree with broken branches around it and knew it was a problem before I even called him. It was a battle getting it down but Scotts experienced crew knocked it out. Best tree service I have ever had. Highly recommend them if you need tree work. Price was great as well. Thanks Scott and crew.
