I was referred by my real estate agent. Marvin is not the cheapest, but learned that cheap contractors end up becoming expensive. Marvin's prices are fair. I fired him and hired a cheaper contractor, which was a huge mistake. The. Inspector was going to almost shut me down because my guy didn't know what they were doing. I called Marvin and he fixed my electrical and drywall problems really quick. True statement.. you know when you missed up , when the city inspector shakes your contractor's hand and said "thank you for coming back on the job". Marvin along with Hector his architect, completed the architectural plans for our gym room/woodshed for our backyard. Hector submitted the plans to Torrance City and had everything approved for us to obtain our permit. All went well and Marvin's fee was very reasonable. He did a great job communicating with me with the progress of the submissions of the blue print, as well as giving us some advice that was very valuable. I've used the services of this company on two occasions so far and both experiences have been great. We had another plumber relocate our hot water heater about a year ago and recently discovered that the work was not done correctly - there was a gas leak. I immediately called Marvin and asked if he could resolve the issue. He and his team came out the next day, thoroughly explained the problem, and told us our options. We hired him to fix the problem and not only was the work very neat, but he was very professional didn't try to inflate the costs, explained everything along the way. The gas company even complimented the work done when they came out to do a final check for gas leaks. Glad we now have a good, honest, and reliable plumber we can count on in the future. Marvin repiped my house using pex pipe. It's been installed for two years now from Rafa at lepos plumbing with no issues. Well......until a few days ago. A leak happened at a joint so I I called Marvin. He came over the same night after working all day and stopped the leak. Then Marvin and Rafa came back and finished the job!! I hired Marvin to do some work on a new home purchase. As a single mom, I am limited in what was am able to accomplish, especially at my age. I needed several things done and had to limit what I could get done because the quote from Marvin was so high. His quote was not detailed and he did not complete everything he said he would. As expensive as he was, he still did not do good work. My electrical switches and plates are crooked, the door he put in did not close all the way, the solar attic fans don't work and I have had to make multiple repairs on the garage doors. Shame on you, Marvin, for taking advantage of an older, single female. read more

If you want your project drawn out over a long period of time. If you want poor workmanship. If you want a person to show you pictures of what caused damage into your condo, then tell the HOA something completely different so he's not responsible. Well, then this is your guy. Our Condo flooded, and this came out and was completely unprofessional. Was on his phone, didn't try to fix the problem, and while he was in our home he called his friend who was close by "an off duty security guard to come over, and talked to him outside of our house, talking loud and cussing." The next day he showed up and showed my wife pictures of a broken sprinkler caught in a lateral pipe and said that is what causes black water to come up through our kitchen sink and flood our home. He is the person responsible for the damage, so of course he said it was roots that cause the blockage. Not a single one of my neighbors in our Condo community approves of the work he does, if it weren't for a power hungry board member, this guy wouldn't even be allowed on our property. This guy, is completely unprofessional, dishonest, and is about to be sued by people at our property. Please stay away. read more
