Our Student Groups have used printed shirts since the '90's to help identify us as a unit and keep us together at events. I was lucky at first to work with a person who pretty much ran her business out of a garage. She recommended shirts that were either discontinued or otherwise on sale. She was careful to advise me on the correct contrast for stitching color if we chose a darker or lighter shirt than before. She also handled both embroidered shirts and screen printed T's. As they say, you don't know what you've got til it's gone and after she retired and left town, we learned just what a jewel she was. It took a handful of years and several tries to find another quality provider on her level. Once we needed 10 screen printed t-shirts for a performing group doing a special series of events - a sort of TOUR SHIRT. Through one shop they cost around $25 each after set-up, tax and some unknown extra fees!!! Another time we needed a few white dress shirts w/ the logo embroidered. Just to give them a sample, I brought one of our other shirts in. It was darker in color. Well, they matched not only the logo but also the thread color. So, a white shirt w/ light-colored thread intended to stand out on a dark shirt. The lettering could not be seen from a distance. That was pretty pointless.... Recently shops I contacted either did embroidery or screen printing, but not both. A colleague told me of an on-line business that was very reasonably priced. The artwork we wanted on the back was too complicated and could not be submitted via their form. Finally a local business person recommended Shiver Shirts to me. Shiver does both screen printing AND embroidery. They quoted reasonable prices. They were patient and engaged when I asked questions until I was sure I wasn't going to get light colored thread on a white shirt. The shirts were done earlier than promised. In short every aspect of working with them was handled very professionally, they are personable and friendly, the prices are reasonable (I said that already, but it's worth mentioning again!) and, best of all, the shirts look great! I'm so glad to have found them and will be using them until they all leave town and retire. Which I hope isn't for a long, long time...Thank you Richard, Adam and everyone else at Shiver Shirts for great service and really nice shirts from a quality local business!! We attempted to order shirts for a benefit supporting a man with extremely aggressive cancer. We…read moretold Bill we understood if the 3 day time period we were asking for was not possible. But he told us several times he could guarantee they would be ready by the Friday morning before the benefit or Saturday morning the day of the benefit at the very latest even though they are normally closed on Saturdays. He was made aware this was a sensitive issue but repeatedly advised he would be able to perform this service. We agreed to whatever up-charge he needed because after all - business is business. All day that Friday we called and emailed without any response. Saturday morning came around and we waited for an hour at the shop and no one showed up. We tried calling, emailing, and even Facebook messaging that morning and no one would respond. The next time someone contacted us back was to make sure we were wanting them for the following week. We were VERY explicit this was for a benefit on a specific date. Anyone could have looked at the order and seen the outrageous rush charge and seen it wasn't for the following week. The man we were getting the shirts for was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and since he immediately began treatment, he had not been anywhere but a hospital or his bed in the previous 6 weeks. This was the one day he had where he could be outside and around people and these shirts were important in making sure he felt loved and supported. His cancer is so aggressive it is not likely he will have another opportunity to be in this type of a setting. To be let down by Shiver Shirts was and is very upsetting. Had they not been able to make the shirts - all they had to do was SAY SO! Don't promise something and then just not respond in any way. No one will convince me this was a miscommunication issue. There are plenty of emails where the date we needed the shirts by was verified and guaranteed to be ready. It's also not possible they just forgot because we were emailing and calling/leaving messages and no one was contacting us back. Had we known we weren't able to get these shirts we would have went elsewhere to someone who stands by their word. Shiver shirts is a complete disappointment.

She told me yes and mentioned a tip for the person who helped. A gentleman then helped my husband carry the mirror down the stairs. At the top of the stairs, a woman who I believe is named Brittany Y. began following closely behind them on the staircase, which felt unnecessary and made an already difficult situation more stressful. Once downstairs, I handed a cash tip directly to the gentleman. At that point, Brittany took the money from his hand and immediately asked me if I had more to give. When I said "excuse me," she responded, "Not trying to be tacky, but can you give him more money?" I declined. Instead of leaving it there, she remained outside harassing me while my husband and I secured the mirror and continued to ask us for more money. During this time, she told me that "this is her business, and the employee only makes $15 an hour and she doesn't have insurance for them to move things". This was uncomfortable and inappropriate. Discussing an employee's wages and internal policies with a customer-- and especially asking for more money--is highly unprofessional. I did apologize just to end the interaction, but the situation should never have escalated this way. I was willing to tip for help, but being pressured repeatedly and having the money taken from the employee was unacceptable. While I appreciate the help from the gentleman, this experience left a very negative impression. If employees are not supposed to assist with moving items, Brittany could have said something before they started down the stairs.

Damage like this doesn't happen by accident and it cause further issues for my clients and the people purchasing their home. And Apex did nothing to resolve the issue.

Reference images of what these pieces looked like before the alterations provided. What the photos show: Vest (needed to be shortened): first attempt, they created new seams, gapping fabric, uneven stitching along zipper; and seams and bottom of vest are uneven when zipped. Second attempt: still uneven along bottom when zipped; stitching still uneven and unfinished along seams; still exposed unfinished fabric edges (new crooked seams successfully removed). Punctured interior exposing down lining. Dress (needed waist taken in): reference image and first and second attempts. First attempt: new darts added to back with crooked stitch and uneven width. Second attempt: fabric bunched to one side of interior; side zipper not flush with top (does not fully zip closed). Three weeks (+4 days late), these alterations are still subpar. They blamed the sewing machine. The refund I received was the bare minimum.
