Walked in on a Saturday morning. Started to talk with an older man . Asked about shoes for stability, support, and balance. He did not offer any suggestions. He waved at the wall of shoes and says this is what we got. I was expecting to have an evaluation of my gait, wearing pattern, etc. too bad for them - we were prepared to buy more than one pair for each of us. Won't be returning. read more

They know how to determine what shoe you need based on your medical history, surgery, etc. Since I was referred by my physical therapist, they gave me a 15% discount - much appreciated. I've never left a review before, but the service and help I received at ARS from Julie was excellent this morning. I've been struggling finding the right running shoe ( for a variety of reasons). My son needed a pair of running shoes abs this store was highly recommended. The service is fantastic and judging by the stick and selection , they take running very seriously . We had the best experience. My son's podiatrist recommended us coming here to get his cross country shoes due to the way he run. He is extremely fast but seems to put most of the pressure on the inside part of his feet. We live over an hour away & it was so worth it it. The gentleman that helped us took so much time watching him walk/run and had him run in a lot of shoes. We bought 2 pairs of cross country shoes & some insoles to help with shoes he already has. These guys were great. I am a huge advocate and critic of customer service and these guys were amazing. As soon as I came in...the employees were restocking inventory but the guy jumped up and welcomed me and sat me down and talked to me about what type of shoe I was looking for. He took my foot measurement and he even checked my gait to determine the right type of shoe. The guys here are knowledgeable and I think they actually know what they're talking about. The guy I was working told me they actually have a podiatrist that comes and trains them on what to look for. They actually take the time to make sure you get the right shoe...they care about your budget and this place is great for anyone who really needs the right shoe whether it's for running or training. you go to a finish line, they don't give off the impression they are knowledgeable. They tell me to spend more money because more money means more comfort. This place explained the differences in running shoes and that you don't need to spend crazy amounts of money for a great shoe and they have great discounts on off season shoes...great place that is under the radar. More shoe stores need to be like this. read more

Awesome shop! Great selection and super knowledgeable, friendly staff. Erik was really helpful and patient while my sig O and I both tested out about 10 different shoes. He was as concerned with finding us the perfect shoe as we were. We never felt rushed during our test runs, we probably spent an hour testing out some new kicks. Nice little shop... it has some good stuff, but I didn't think the women's section was too good.

My son is a cross country runner for his high school. We came here looking for spikes for his races and we got great service. Both of the workers there advised us to get the same pair of spikes. I was expecting to pay over $100, but the spikes we bought were only $60. Great deal and awesome advice.... read more
