I ended up sending a Facebook message to Next Level and they responded right away and told me they could probably help me out, so we discussed what I needed and set an appointment for today. When we arrived the shop was clean and the owner, Lindsay, was quick to greet us. She set me up with the skates we had discussed, and after seeing my issue pulled another set of skates for me to try. She was very gracious in answering all of my questions, and swapped out the rink wheels on the skates I chose for a set of outdoor wheels in my favorite color at no charge. She chatted with me for a while after the transaction was complete and was really pleasant and informative. I will absolutely return to this shop when I'm ready for "big girl" skates, but for now I couldn't be happier with my Sure Grips. I can't wait to take them outside tomorrow!

They resounded quickly via FB messenger and shared what brands they carry so I could look before going in. They are open by appointment, so we had the full attention of the sales person and the entire shop to ourselves. The person was friendly and knowledgeable. My daughter pick out her skates and we were out the door in no time. I highly recommend shopping local and supporting small businesses. I am hoping to return soon to get me a pair of skates!

I am relatively new to the whole hockey thing and my son told me he had to get his skates sharpened…read moreapparently you were supposed to avoid the arenas for this task and a friend said go to skater's edge which I did The guys that work there educated me a little bit about skate blades and the fact I wasn't coming in enough good sales pitch I think but apparently he supposed to get his skates sharpened every 6 to 8 hours I had no idea The cost to get your skates sharpened is $8 and it takes around 8 minutes as I time them. The only negative I suppose would be that you should make an appointment to get your skates sharpened when I was in there wasn't busy at all however I can see that potentially it could get pretty hairy in there as when I was leaving the states started to pile up. It's located in a nondescript strip mall next to Walgreens and unfortunately Walgreens put up a bunch of posts so you cannot get into their parking lot from Walgreens. This we've got to go around the horn to get into their lot so watch your GPS

He gave me so many options and explained the pros and cons of each. He was upfront about price points (not cheap) and when/if a more expensive option was better for me. These are not entry level, recreational skates. Know what you are getting into. His prices were exactly what I expected for my needs. I tried on five skates in multiple sizes covering three brands to ensure that I was getting exactly what I needed. He includes heat molding, blade mounting and sharpening with a purchase. He was understanding of my need to think about it and not purchase day of. He wasn't pushy at all. I was able to text him and order the next day after confering with my husband. As soon as I came in...the employees were restocking inventory but the guy jumped up and welcomed me and sat me down and talked to me about what type of shoe I was looking for. He took my foot measurement and he even checked my gait to determine the right type of shoe. The guys here are knowledgeable and I think they actually know what they're talking about. The guy I was working told me they actually have a podiatrist that comes and trains them on what to look for. They actually take the time to make sure you get the right shoe...they care about your budget and this place is great for anyone who really needs the right shoe whether it's for running or training. you go to a finish line, they don't give off the impression they are knowledgeable. They tell me to spend more money because more money means more comfort. This place explained the differences in running shoes and that you don't need to spend crazy amounts of money for a great shoe and they have great discounts on off season shoes...great place that is under the radar. More shoe stores need to be like this.

MUST READ! Today my mother and I went into Archillies in Willoughby. My mothers physical therapist…read moresuggested she go. I wanted a new pair of shoes, after I have broken my foot two times. I arrived before my mother, and started to explain to the man behind the desk (Steve) my foot issues. My mother came in soon after and was greeted by a sweet girl names Camen (I may have her name wrong), but she was very kind. I unfortunately was left to work with Steve. Let me tell you, I shop often, but NEVER have I been treated so badly by someone in sales! I explained I had always been a 8 1/2, but want a 9 because my foot swells. He came out with two boxes and I tried both and said both pairs were tight. I looked at the box and BOTH boxes were 8s. I explained AGAIN I am a 9, never been a 8. This man angerly grabbed both boxes and bought me out 2 boxes and said I am a 9 1/2. He never measured my foot. , he never watched me walk. I would fall if I walked in a 9 1/2. Steve was angry by now and was so rude to me! I looked at him and asked if he was having a bad day, I was watching what my mother tried on, and asked if I could try that. Once again he snapped at me. I walked over to my mother and tried her shoe on, and loved it! I tried to ask him about her shoe, and this man continued to raise his voice at me. He yelled "You asked about Asics when you walked in the door". I asked another question, and he started again "I TOLD YOU, BLAH BLAH BLAH"I was done. I said I was afraid to ask him any questions and will not buy shoes from him. I was so angry, I was trying not to let this rude man see me cry. Thankfully as I was walking out, the kind girl (Camen) was trying to fix how rude he was to me. She ended up helping me and apologized for how I was treated. I should have just went and sat with them the first few times he was speaking so rudely. He was the one who messed up to begin with, bring me the wrong size, and stomped away acting like I messed up. I know my shoe size Steve!!! I had read reviews before I went in there, and I seen someone had a problem with a man that works there, and she walked out. The minute he opened his mouth to speak, I knew it was him. I am always kind, ALWAYS! I just am shocked seeing someone like this. I can only assume they dont work on commission there, because he didnt care if he sold me shoes or not. I hope the owner reads this review, because I have no doubt you are loosing money having this man run customers out of your store. Someone who treats paying customers, the way I was treated, MUST have many complaints and has lost a lot of money for that store. Thank you Camen. I so appreciate your kindness!
