    I went to Simon Med in Tinley Park for an MRI and was very disappointed that the technician could…read morenot see me. I was not told ahead of time that I would need an X-ray to ensure there were no metal fragments left in an area where I had previous surgery. Although I was very upset at the time, due to being in a lot of pain and after a stressful year waiting for this image to hopefully get some relief, I understood why the technician said no, but I really needed the MRI. I was high energy because I was out of my comfort zone, lacking sleep, and in pain. The technician remained professional and kept a calm, cool tone throughout, and I truly appreciate her for that. I wanted to call and apologize because, although I did not use any profanity or show direct disrespect, I was emotional and my voice was raised, which is not my usual character. For that, I'm giving her five stars. I will not be returning because I found another facility to complete the MRI (and I now have the required X-ray), but I still want to express my gratitude to her for maintaining her professionalism during a difficult situation. I even had to call my husband afterward to calm down from crying. Being in pain for a long time is not for the weak, and I sincerely appreciate anyone who remains kind in moments like that.

    It was mammogram time again. I originally scheduled the appointment for July 16 at 12:30 p.m., but…read morea terrible storm hit the area during the wee hours of the morning causing a power outage. I had no power and everything at home was a bit chaotic. I hate canceling appointments on the day of service because it just seems rude to me. However, I had no other choice in this situation. I called and spoke to an appointment desk representative who was kind, sympathetic, and understanding. The storm impacted so many people, and she was understanding. Rescheduling was hassle free. My new appointment date and time was set for today at 11 a.m. Well, I put the wrong time in my phone calendar thinking the new appointment was 12:30 p.m. (like my previous appointment). I showed up at noon! I was so embarrassed and felt badly. Tio, the representative, was so kind and understanding. I apologized profusely. He told me that they would fit me in. I told him I'm willing to wait as it's totally my fault for mixing up the appointment time. The waiting room is gorgeous and relaxing. I waited for less than 5 minutes! The technician, Tracyna (I hope I spelled her name correctly), greeted me with a warm smile and escorted me to the changing room. She was so kind, professional, patient, and understanding. I apologized to her, too. Tracyna was so gracious and welcoming! We chatted for a couple of minutes while she explained the procedures and answered questions. She has a wonderful sense of humor and sweet disposition. The procedure took about 20 minutes. I hugged Tracyna and thanked her for being a wonderful human being. I like her so much that when I'm in the building again, I'm going to stop by to say hello. Now, you know my story. I highly recommend Prime Medical Imaging.     I have had x-rays, CT scans, and MRIs here, and they are always professional. The one concern I…read morehave is that the results seem to "not get to" the ordering doctor. I am not sure how they can remedy this but they certainly need to. My last exam, I had a sticky note on the order with the doctor's name and fax number; however, the doctor never received it, though they said thy faxed it. I had the foresight to call the day before my appointment, to ensure the office had the results. They did not, and I had to have it re-sent to the office. The staff is kind, caring, and thorough, but there seems to be something not quite right about ensuring the results get where they need to. I would recommend a "follow-up" protocol be put into place.
