From past experience of working there, it's just not a good store. It used to be great, but the cluttered setup of the store is inconvenient, and messy. They keep expired things in the bakery, and the reduced fruits/vegetables, are reduced because they were opened to remove the ROTTEN foods (ex. a couple of strawberries would be black and fuzzy, so they'd open it, and take it out to then reduce it.) The boxes we unpack had bugs in them and when I had reported this issue, it was brushed off. Along with the other issue I brought up, of spilled and moldy food under shelves, that was also brushed off and left alone. The bathrooms have open access cleaning supplies shoved in the corner, and overall the store smells bad. It's just gross. read more

Your rating with has just gone from a 4 to less 0 !!! Have been shopping at the Whipple store for 17 years never had a problem with returning rotten meat.until today. Bought a family pack of pork chops on Sunday 5 -19-24 tried to return 5-20-24. I literally live 3 minutes from the store were refrigerated within 5 minutes of leaving the store.opened package on 5-20-24 and had a putrid smell.tried to return and got told once it leaves the store they won't take it back and make it right.i spend on average 800 dollars a month there but no more!!! Lots of other grocery stores around that I will be spending my money at but not acme!! Maybe the rest of you should open ALL your packages of meat at the store before you buy cause acme doesn't stand behind their products. read more

Good stock and sale prices. Nice people working at store and are always helpful. Easy to get in and out when in a hurry.

Went to pick up my order. Girl brought out my order. I saw Pepsi not diet and two gallons of milk. I drink Diet Pepsi and could never drink two gallons of milk before it spoils. So I said I think you have the wrong order. The girl then said you ordered this. I replied if I did it's a mistake because can't drink all that milk and I don't drink sugar Pepsi. Girl seemed agitated took the order back into the store. Came out 10 min later. I apologized for her trouble as she handed me a printed out version of my order which included my personal info like my home address. The girl loaded my car then proceeded to scream at me to never talk to her like that again. I never raised my voice and thought I was respectful. I was wearing a wound vac just released from the hospital and she just bullied me. I called her manager she listened to the story and said she would make sure this was taken care of. Not true. I went to this store and there she was. I now drive out of my way to avoid this store. I feel like legal action is the only way I can stop being a victim. Awful read more

Hey what is the deal with the bakery? Bread is stale and nothing compared to Giant Eagle or Fisher's for that matter...that really keeps people away I will tell you, you need a good bakery, you need good cakes and brownies and the type of pastry that will bring people in, come on get with the program ACME. read more

I remember shopping at this place when I was younger and it was much bigger when it was Acme/Click. Now it's just Acme, and wow, it has gone downhill! I give this place 1 star for aesthetics. The ONE thing Acme has going for it is it's the only grocery store in the area that sells Graeter's ice cream! I'll shop at Giant Eagle at the Strip any day--it is much nicer aesthetically speaking, the store is bigger, and the selection is wider. read more

So I probably would not have came here if it wasn't for a buddy of mine mention how extensive their beer selection is. But, while I was here i decided to do a bit of shopping. The place just feels old...like a place refusing to change its old roots. The people here were very nice and helpful - you could tell it once was (or possibly still is) a regular shopping spot for many people in the area. Something that I was expecting was low prices. I thought it would be average quality, but on the cheap side. What I found out was it was below average quality (meat, produce, etc. - the things that matter the most) and average prices. To be honest it just didn't cut it for me. As for the beer, the whole reason I went, it was impressive I have to say. Not the best in town, but they had a good selection. One thing I noticed too was that I think some of the beer might be sitting around longer than other places. The turnaround just doesn't seem high enough there to justify re ordering and more fresh beer. The beer I got (unknowingly) was about 9 months from its bottle on date. Its not terrible by any means, but I don't see myself coming here with the other grocery stores in the area. read more

They have great weekly deals! That is the only time I come here, when something is cheaper than anywhere else. The cashiers are always so melancholy. They put me in a bad mood. I don't know if it is just the younger cashiers, but it seems like they have had such a terrible life that that can not even crack a smile. (Hello, you work with the public. Pros: close to home, organic milk, decent bakey cons: I do not buy meat here. Produce is generally not as good as other stores.

Acme is a good place to shop for most items you need. Prices are comparable to others in the area, some items are cheaper here than Giant Eagle or Fishers. I gave it a 3 star because it doesn't have a major selection of items & seems to me that it needs a bit of remodeling, but it's employees are helpful & shelves are usually stocked. read more

If you have on mind buy a cake, don't buy here! I ordered my cake 5 days before and when I pick up was a plain cake nothing like I ordered. The manager said they will make another exactly what I asked and I had to back 2 hours later. When I see the cake was ok (supposedly), the problem was when we found the cake don't have fill of strawberry like we asked and don't have cream cheese either. I prefer Acme to Giant Eagle, it seems everytime I go to GE (especially the one in Massillon), I seem to get attitude. There are many friendly employees at Acme, and I rarely run into someone who is in a "bad mood." Between Fishers, Giant Eagle and acme, I think you get the best bang for your buck at Acme, with a great selection of food. Unfortunately, Giant Eagle carries the obscure products, so I sometimes find myself having to go there. I kind of Wish Acme had the broad selection of Giant Eagle. At the end of the day, I do the majority of my grocery shopping at Acme. Better service, better price. read more
