This Acme is definitely a good one they got a well-maintained store with all you need for groceries, beverages, quick food, meat, seafood, packaged goods etc. They do run specials on the quick food on weekdays. This is the best Acme. The people that work there are very friendly and very helpful. Also, the store is immaculate, the shelves are well stocked and check out is quick and seamless. I would like to recognize Louis, the Manager, Jen,Dawn, Michelle and Brie. They represent exceptional customer service, their work ethic is superior. Also, I use their Pharmacy and they too offer great customer service with a friendly but very professional approach. Specifically, I would like to mention the people that take care of all my health care needs, The Pharmacist,Kelsey and Cristina, and the Phcy tech, Colleen for assisting me with all of my medications and health care needs. The store is clean and organized, but the customer service was unacceptable. I was there around 6:15 PM on a quiet Sunday with no lines, and no one but me at checkout. There were two cashier lanes open plus the self checkout. I went to the cashier checkout as I find it more efficient. The cashier Cody, didn't greet me, when I said "hello", didn't make eye contact, and barely responded when I asked a question. After ringing me up, she simply walked away to clean a different register instead of helping me bag my groceries --even though I was the only customer. I don't expect them to bag my groceries but usually they help. When I said I couldn't reach the rest of my groceries, she vaguely mentioned a button at the end of the bagging area to lean against to move the items closer and turned away and kept cleaning. It was clear she had no interest in helping. If you don't like basic interactions and helping customers you probably shouldn't be customer facing. Worst customer service I've experienced at a grocery store. I thought I'd give this store a shot. But if this is how they treat you, then I'll stick to the store closer to my house. read more

Starting with the positives - this store is new and clean But, the prices are way too high for the quality. Wegmans is less than 5 minutes away and the quality is much greater for an even better price. I've also had several unpleasant experiences while interacting with the cashiers. I would drive five minutes away to the wegmans. read more

The manager, Anthony is a perfect example of how great customer service should be handled! Very nice guy and you could tell he'd go out of his way to accommodate a customer. Also Nick was very helpful when i was unable to find a 6 pack of chocolate covered strawberries for me and my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. He worked with Anthony to separate a larger tray of chocolate covered strawberries so that I'd be able to get 6. Just yesterday Anthony helped me one again with an insulted bag with a broken zipper. Very nice customer service at the desk as well. Just one word of advice for shoppers of this location: avoid the cashier who has reddish hair who often wears a brace on her wrist. Love this ACME! Friendly staff and is always clean. Everyone's always happy, except the manager. I don't think she's a people person.

Place is deserted on a Saturday evening, staff can't be bothered to be anywhere near the self checkout, the only one open, so had to wait 3 times because the weights of my products don't match their computer. Finally I go to leave and grab a 4-pack of ginger beer I bought and didn't eat to waste a bag on and three steps to the door and it falls apart and two start to leak and fizz. Manager comes running only to just stare at me after I'd put both in a small trash bin. After I ask if I ask how to handle it, can I grab another she continues to stare without a word until it get so uncomfortable I give up and leave. Very strange. read more

Yet ANOTHER personnel/ management/ coordination issue at this store. 1 cashier- SEVEN people with full carts waiting in line. Employee monitoring the self checkout doesn't even seem aware, or calling attention to the manager...IDK if there even IS a manager at this store ?‐ if so, they need to be retrained, as does the always unfriendly staff . This is a nice Acme although the way it's organized is a little different from other grocery stores. Anyway, I do a lot of my shopping at Target in the same shopping center, but I will pop into the Acme if I need special veggies or a good cut of meat (Target doesn't have much in the way of meat) or just something else that I couldn't find at Target. I've always thought Acme was one of the more expensive grocery stores although they do have some nice sales sometimes. I usually have about $50 worth of stuff in my cart by the time I leave the produce/bakery/prepared foods area :p read more

This Acme is well stocked and has good employees. The woman at the deli counter this morning was so helpful. She was quick and efficient yet answered all my questions. She showed me different options and explained the difference between the cheeses. She also took my whole order at once and remembered it all. The cashiers are super nice too. I appreciate that they wear mask properly and gloves. This is now my go to store. read more

Clean, always has what I need in stock. EXCEPT the lines are always so long, and they never have more than 3 cashiers open. It is so bad I started going to another grocery store 2 miles away because they guarantee you'll move quickly through checkout. They need to have more lines open, especially afternoon/evenings. read more

I get it Acme doesn't pay it's cashiers much, but they should at least have leaders who coach cashiers not to have a shitty attitude with customers (just watch the girl with the long red braids throw people's groceries into plastic bags, while sneering at the customers). I shop at the Glen Mills Acme at least once or twice a week. I just want to compliment one of your employees, her name is Summer and she works in the bakery department. On two different occasions she went out of her way to help me. Once, she was just walking by and I asked her if someone could help me locate an item. With a big smile, she took off looking for someone, and when she couldn't find anyone, she went up and down a few aisles until she found what I was looking for. She was also very helpful and pleasant when I needed something from the bakery department. Acme should have more employees like Summer. read more

If you look at my other reviews, you'll see that I don't like ANYTHING. But, yeah, I'm all about this Acme (or "The American Store" as my grandmother used to call it). The Acme chain, has a pretty well- deserved bad reputation. Many of them are dingy and generally unpleasant; not the Glen Mills one! This one is clean, the employees are friendly and helpful, there are seldom lines at the cashiers, and the prices are reasonable. They also have an awesome beer section now with a HUGE selection of different beers, as well as a small bar (which I guess is for the Dads that are sent to the supermarket against their will). I do notice that sometimes the meat, especially the chicken, seems a bit watered down, but on the other hand I highly recommend their short-ribs which are always meaty and tender. Going here is, on the whole, a pleasant, normal experience, which coming from me is a high compliment. read more
