Prices almost never on the product. Shelves are never neat or organized. Products put in wrong places and most times you don't know it until you've paid too much for something. Many staff members have an attitude as if it's a bother to be asked a question. Isles are very tight. read more

It's unfortunate that I have to give even 1 star to this store. This supermarket regularly overcharges above the price posted on the aisle label. The manager (Mike) refuses to resolve any disputes concerning overcharge and will actually blame you for the discrepancy. . Additionally, the products sold are often expired (especially the dairy section). This is what to expect when you shop in this dirty, dishonest, little supermarket. I hadn't been in the store in a long time and wanted to see their ice cream. They let the ice cream get frost all over it, which suggests freezing and refreezing and ruined ice cream, the shelves were chaotic, and the brand selection was mostly lousy. The total lack of care for the ice cream made me leave without buying anything else. read more

Convenient/close to work, although the ACME on West Putnam Ave in Greewnich, CT is bigger... I got decent deals, Home Depot gift card ( w/o surcharges, like other places). Like their Juniors' Cheesecakes for birthdays. Nice (North County) Plaza, w/ bank, chiropractic care, Goodwill, USPS, UPS, ice cream parlor & restaurants. Since this pandemic, this store has been my go to store for groceries. The employees are friendly and helpful and the shelves are stocked to meet all of my family's needs. The deli department has been exceptional. Very happy with their customer service. read more

Just be aware that some of there products are from China so read everything carefully cause noone needs to get sick and read the fine print on all items. Overall the prices and quality of the stuff they sell really sucks. read more

This place never but never ever has sales. The best you might do is 20 cents off or "buy 2 get one" nonsense. I did use their delivery app which was very efficient- but they inflate the prices for the convenience ( which they mention on the website), then charge you a hefty delivery charge AND FURTHER suggest that you tip the driver a percentage. While I respect the work of the shopper and driver, why do I have to tip them on top of a delivery charge? PAY YOUR WORKERS PLEASE! read more

When this store was A&P it was a disorganized mess. Now that it's Acme the situation is worse. Today I found a whole shopping cart of products expired in 2018 including a shelf full of baby food dinners expired June 2018 and Quaker biscuits expired May 2018. It's obvious the management in this store doesn't care about their business or selling wholesome products to their customers. JIM PERKINS has been President of Acme for a few years. I used to always shop at Acme in Golden's Bridge since it's so close to my house. I was buying a few items and the woman didn't bag them so I asked for a bag. She told me now the store charges 10 cents per bag. That's ridiculous. They are going to lose a lot of customers I'm not shopping there anymore. I have never heard of a super market charge for bagging. What a disappointment. read more

I love the convenience of their same day delivery. But some shoppers are better than others. On 2 recent occasions when my delivery has included meat, on one occasion the items chosen had an expiration date that was the same date as the day the meat was delivered, and on the other occasion the expiration date was for the following day. Their meat prices are higher than Stop and Shop, and at the very least I should be able to keep a steak or ground beef in the fridge for a couple of days before using or freezing. After paying their higher prices, a delivery charge and adding a decent tip, I think they should at least deliver fresh meat even if they may be required to dump meat whose expiration date says it is no longer fresh.. read more

This place is OK, and nice to have in the neighborhood in a pinch. It has the basics. It's a small store so they don't have every variety/flavor of common items (such as Chobani). There are 2 cashiers that are particularly unfriendly, literally don't say a single word, and no facial expression. Very cold and strange. I don't particularly trust the frozen aisle, because many times I have seen items past expiration date -- which is unusual for frozen items, since they are usually dates a year or two out. (The ice cream looks like it's been sitting there for years.) Anyway, while the frozen stuff doesn't move, everything else seems to be fine. I wouldn't expect a dazzling shopping experience or a big store (the Yorktown location is much bigger and therefore vastly more selection), but they have decent basics of good quality like fruit, salad, jugs of water, etc., even some veg items. There are also some good sales and BOGOs. They do need to get some more cashiers, and ones who don't look at customers alternating between blankly and with disdain. Oh, and to those cluelessly commenting about the 10-cent bag charge, that is a local law, not the store's choice. And, you know what, for 10 CENTS, you get a large and pretty sturdy reusable bag that helps reduce massive plastic waste. So don't rant and rave about it before driving away in your Mercedes back to Heritage Hills. read more

I pass this location on my commute. I stopped in to buy a few small purchases for dinner. One of the items was a Lancaster ham steak. Packaging stated that it was packed on Jun 26, 17 at 09:37 AM with a sell thru date of Aug 09,17. Upon opening it was slimy and rancid. Obviously it has been over labelled. It is NOT about the piddling $4.31 I lost for bad product. It is about the fact that Store Management obviously cares more about profit at the health risk and overall satisfaction of Customers. read more

Not happy with their customer service. The pricing on the floor stated buy one get one free for the grapes. I went to purchase two of them and when the cashier rang me out it did not come up buy one get one free. When I asked the cashier about it, she stated: "yeah, I know the sign is there but it is not buy one get one free." If you know the sign is there, why not honor the price? She refused to honor it and then REFUSED TO TAKE THE SIGN DOWN. read more

Message: Poor customer service. When I got home this morning from Acme, Goldens Bridge, I looked over my receipt and found I was charge twice at two different prices for one bottle of Bayer Aspirin. I went directly back to the store to get the receipt adjusted. I talked to the cashier who had served me and she sent me to customer service. After waiting 5 minutes for someone to serve me, I went back to the cashier and asked her to call someone. The woman at customer then came out mad because she was just in the office and did not need to be called. I explained the situation and she said I had to have bought two bottles of aspirin because it was impossible that I was charged twice. I told her to ask the check out woman. The Checkout Woman said I only got one and she did not know how I was charged twice. The Woman came back making nasty remarks about the check out woman. Still claiming that I got two or the person behind me got one. There was no one behind me when I was originally checking out. Then the customer service woman then started telling me that if I was nicer I would get better service. I finally got my money back. This is the first time I have ever felt that I had to put a complaint in about someone. At no point was I apologized to for the inconvenience of having to drive back to the store, put on a mask and gloves to sort this out. That's not true, the check out women did apologize when I first cam in. With Costumer service like this, its probably why this store is empty when every other store in the area has at least a 1/2 hour wait to get in. I will not be back to this branch of Acme. The ones in Yorktown and the one in Somers are both fantastic stores with excellent service. read more
