Great supermarket with a huge variety of fruits , cheeses and more . They even had white corn which is almost impossible to find now a days . Stopped by after work tonight to get essentials for post-holiday meals. I found everything I needed. However, when I got to checkout, not a single register was open. Granted, it was after 7pm on a Sunday and the holiday crowd was pretty much gone, but I never encountered a front end with no cashiers. I had to ring up my entire order with more than 30 items! Needless to say, it took a while and, with no conveyor belt to move items along, it took a while to ring up my order $200+ after coupons. Thank goodness I was able to apply my digital coupons so that my discounts from the app saved me a ton of money ($100+). That's terrible staffing and something like that shouldn't happen especially during a busy summer holiday. read more

I put an order in to go order delivery on and it was full of fruit flies and am very very upset. Contacted the Store. They weren't very helpful contacted the Better Business Bureau contacted Pnc Bank. I contacted the corporate center. Throughout the years, I've had an overall pleasant experience shopping at Acme. It's a great alternative to Shoprite, with wider aisles, a better atmosphere, and a larger selection of food. However today I was shopping there and when I got to the produce section and I noticed many fruit flies (or some other type of bug) swarming the peaches. It looked disgusting, do they expect people to buy their fruit if it visibly has bugs on it? read more

This is a great acme with friendly, and knowledgeable employees. The manager, I think his name is Joe, makes sure that customers really taken of. The people that work in the deli department are always cheerful and make your shopping experience very pleasant. The weekly circular always has some great specials, two weeks ago they had a special on ice cream buy 2 get 3 free!!! It was almost worth the hell I got from my son when he saw ALL that ice cream!!!! read more

Disorganized and dirty. They ALWAYS have some nosey supervisor watching from the end of the aisle, grilling your cart at self checkout. I don't feel very welcome. Staff seems miserable. read more

Have been customer of Acme markets for past 50 years, always enjoyed shopping here but in the past year the pharmacy department has gone off the chart. Many new faces that stand around and gossip instead of taking care of customers. Yesterday I stopped to get a prescription refilled. I was asked if I wanted to wait and I said yes, I was told it would be an hour, and I told the young girl that I could not wait that long and she replied why don't you go shopping. I asked for my prescription back and told her I would be going else ware to have it filled. She then said I will take care of it now and I said no thank you. Extremely pleased with the selection options of organic food, better for you snacks, vegetarian options, and fresh produce. The employee at the seafood counter was very helpful and considerate. The checkout line moved quickly and one employee helped bag the groceries. This Acme is in another category compared to the awful Acme in Northern Liberties. Alot less calm of a parking lot than that shoprite across the way and a good layout inside. The meats at acme are good. Friendly staff. A little expensive but much cheaper than ghetto dwelling ventnor one unless you like characters. Im pretty sure all their stuff is marked up due to summer location and all the AC foodstamps the government pays for (we pay for) that comes through there.
