I have been to Acology 3 times and this is my last. It took a minute but I finally found a few places that have reasonable prices and service. Parking here is not easy and be very careful of the metered areas. The place is cute and it is clean. They have a decent selection of lotions and massage equipment. The problem is that their prices are sometimes 3 times higher than what I can get on line or simply at CVS. CVS has a returns allowed policy. Acology does not. They can be very rude if you try to return anything. When I was in the store I witnessed a woman trying to return something she bought the day before, receipt in hand, and she was told, you bought it, it is yours. They would not even giver her credit for the item. I can't deal with that at all. I asked about a few things I was looking for and the salesperson was quite rude to me. I have no idea why, I am a nice person. I will never go back there. The customer service is so bad, the prices are crazy and parking is a nightmare. But again, the place is clean. read more

I love this place! It's my go to, for the best high quality fitness and wellness products. The staff is amazing and Tree is absolutely wonderful! She's honest, knowledgable and so very helpful. She was a true hero during the pandemic, ensuring that our community had the supplies we needed. As a local RN, my hospital could not provide us with N95s at that time. Upon hearing that, she donated boxes of her supply to our staff. I stopped by this morning and was able to pick up just what I needed. Wonderful customer service as usual! Store is neat and clean. Acology is a small boutique shop on Wilshire. They specialize in medical products. Pros: Staff members are incredibly friendly, and helpful. They also take each customer one at a time. And as it's rarely busy, will attend to you well. Further, they carry high-end products. Finally, if you live in Santa Monica, they are conveniently located. Cons: Prices are notably higher than online (I searched the same products after I purchased them). That all said, I would return to this spot. They are super nice and carry solid products. read more

I haven't been by this shop in years. I mean ten plus years. Boy, have I been missing out! If you're in physical pain and looking for trusted advise on your options for self-treatment, this place is amazing. What's obvious is that they have a comprehensive range of supplies and equipment, everything from over the shelf orthopedics to the latest powered self-massages. What's not obvious is that the owner Thuy is a walking encyclopedia of wellness and pain treatment expertise. I stopped in the other day because I had an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon down the street and thought I'd see if Acology had some equipment to add to my current kit of foam rollers and lacrosse balls. While browsing the various on the wall, the owner Thuy politely approached me and asked if I had any questions. A little less than an hour later, I felt as if I had gotten a full physical evaluation and tested six of seven different devices to treat my various chronic injuries (30 plus years of combat sports and weight training have definitely left their mark). I left buying a "Occipivot" and hard green rubber balls about the size of soft balls. Both pieces of equipment are amazing in terms of reaching areas of pain a restriction that bother me daily. But I digress. The big take away is that Thuy helped me to find the best tools for my specific needs. She's knows her stuff! Bottom line, don't just go to the store and try to figure it out on your own, ask the owner and her staff for help with your situation. You'll be glad you did! read more

I stopped by Acology after I broke my toe and they were so very helpful. They not only pointed me in the direction of "toe buddies" but they suggested tiny magnets that look like bandaids. I cannot believe how quickly they worked to help relieve the pain and to restore blood flow to my toe. These women are so helpful and and VERY knowledgeable. They care very much about assisting their customers to find the products that will be most helpful to them in their healing process. read more

Thuy is a miracle worker!!! I was experiencing tremendous extensor tendinitis in my right foot and came in looking for a walking boot. Thuy was able to help me find the right size (xs) and also offered layered copper rings and copper band aids to reduce swelling and improve circulation. Thuy recommended qua sha (or cau gio in Vietnamese) and I was very skeptical at first but took her advice. I went home and performed qua sha on my foot. Within 24 hours, I was able to walk fine and the pain was significantly reduced. I cannot thank Thuy enough. read more

I called for a hospital bed and I was told by the UCLA hospital nurse on a recommended discharge paper that UCLA patients got a 10% discount. The shop said the discount was not for beds. They quoted me a price and I asked about instillation and they said someone comes and installs and takes it apart at the due date. I agreed to there price and when they finished installing the bed they charged me an additional $80.00 that was not quoted to us. When they returned to take the bed they quoted me a time frame - they never held to the time frame even after they called back to say they were on there way and after 2 calls from me when they said 5 more minutes. They only are 16 blocks from my home. They are a disappointment to us. read more

Thuy was extraordinarily knowledgeable and helpful about products that would provide relief, from compression sleeves to reusable gel/ice wraps, to reusable ace bandages. She also recommended some alternative therapies which had proven effective over her decades of experience. There's no parking except on the street, but the shop is reasonable priced and they stock product floor to ceiling. if you are looking for great quality PT gear, you're much better off here than CVS, RiteAid or and other drugstore chain in the area. read more
