I had an outpatient surgery yesterday and had my Rx sent to AHAVA--which I found on Yelp and chose as it was close to me. My doctor called in the prescription after 4:30 pm on Friday and I drove from the Valley and arrived at the pharmacy at 5:45 pm to pick it up. Their closing time is--according to the information they provide, 6 pm. Fifteen minutes prior to closing, I found the door locked and a security gate rolled in front. The hours on the door stated they were open until 6 pm but the lights were off and they had clearly gone home. The signage also said they're closed Saturday and Sunday!! While I respect the religious reasons for this, I'm at a loss as to WHY they even accepted the prescription and WHY they wouldn't have advised me they were closing early and that I wouldn't be able to get my post-surgery antibiotics until MONDAY. (That's too long and an infection could start.) I had to scramble to call my surgeon's office after hours to have my prescription sent to another pharmacy because AHAVA handled this unprofessionally and in a way that didn't consider my well-being whatsoever. Needless to say, I won't give them my business going forward. read more

Ahava Pharmacy is hands down the best pharmacy I've ever been to. Ashkan is amazing -- super knowledgeable, friendly, and always takes the time to explain things in a way that actually makes sense. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and isn't just rushing people in and out like at the big chains. The whole vibe at Ahava is warm and welcoming. I'm so happy to have found AHAVA Pharmacy and doctor Ash!! It's so difficult going to chain pharmacies with my young kids, waiting in long lines only to find out a medication is not available. Luckily I called AHAVA pharmacy, not only did they have the medications, but I was able to buy the medication for a less expensive price than the chain pharmacies WITHOUT waiting!! They're always more than happy and ready to deliver to our home! The owner as well as the employees are kind, caring, and careful to make sure everything is accurate. Beats Walgreens, Riteaid and CVS by a miles, It's a smaller pharmacy which means they give you the attention and love you need , That being said the selection of toiletries, incidentals, and OTC medicines are high quality and extremely well priced. Service was SO fast (which I was never used to because I would fill at chain stores like Rite-Aid) and the pharmacist Dr. Ash took his time during our consultation explaining everything to me step by step and answering all of my questions with so much knowledge and patience. Ahava pharmacy is great! I called over a dozen pharmacies in Beverly Hills today to get an injection for my dad that he urgently needed. Nobody had it in stock or was willing to help. Dr. Ashkan immediately answered the phone, had the exact medication in stock, and responded to all my texts very promptly. Dr. Ash is awesome! I love a few blocks away and hated having to wait every time I needed to get my prescription from other pharmacies.
