This was an incredible experience and now my favorite spa in Miami. The attention to detail and the interaction from the moment you walk in with every team member is totally 5 star! I came for a 50 minute Swedish massage and my masseuse was magical. I typically don't get light- medium pressure massages. I mostly get very deep tissue, but this was such a relaxing experience. There are so many tiny details like the chime at the beginning and the cold crystal at the end. The treatment rooms are spacious they have a full shower in the room and the beds with heaters and mobility to lift your legs and back. It was a great massage, but I think what really blew me away and I decided to spend the rest of the day was all of the spa amenities. The spa has a private pool and Jacuzzi outside where you can order lunch. It is so pretty and relaxing and everyone was so quiet and respectful. There were so few people there it feels exclusive and private. The view of the beach gorgeous! Then going back into the women's locker room. The steam room and the sauna are totally top-of-the-line. They also have a shower with cool rain and thunderstorm settings. The steam room, especially was really unique. It's completely dark and then there are these twinkle lights that change colors in the ceiling and they have this rounded seating that you can put your legs up on an ottoman in the center. It's just really well designed and comfortable. The staff in the locker room was so sweet and they have anything you could need from contact solution to styling products for your hair curling iron, blow dryers you name it. Also gets a little hairbrush which I thought was a nice touch. Then they even have branded chocolates for when you leave. I can't wait to come back!

Serenity, rejuvenation and detoxification are only pretenses that drive us to the spas like this. There is another reason. It is the experience of luxury, pampering. It is an opportunity to observe what people have been able to achieve in creating peaceful and tranquil environments. Aqualina SPA, as one of the finest in Miami, is a representation and example of spa excellence. Vast and spacious environment. Sauna, steam room, lounge areas. Italian coastline inspired design. Spectacular massages and access to a private pool. It is difficult to find many things wrong about it. It is a very nice spa without question. The service is spectacular all around, from scheduling to rescheduling to in spa experience. Everything is done extremely well and tastefully. Yet, looking at it from another angle, there is nothing particularly unbelievable, revolutionary in the industry or groundbreaking about this spa. The pool is classic in design. The building is not particularly worth a feature. It isn't a place that alters any preconceptions. It would be nice for the lounge areas to be coed for couples. In most ways, it is classic, does everything well and provides a well rounded experience that is rather flawless. And, there is something to be said about that.

This place was great. The staff was amazing and plaave wAs clean. They first start off with a tea. It was nice. The relaxation roomm with Himalayan salt walls wAs amazing. The biscuit cookies were a nice. I felt like the place was great but massage was just okay. I would go again but with a different masseuse.

So relaxing , amazing robes and slippers

The staff is VERY professional and kind The spa is one of nicest in Miami and is HUGE I came for Miami spa month They offere you immediately a relaxation cold towel and black tea Definitely come early because the process does take a while I do wish ordering drinks and food didn't take so long There are two of everything , one male and one female: -relaxation area has nice cookies , tea spa water and numerous chase lounges Female and make steam room, sauna and changing area and ice application which is amazing ! There is a private pool area and jacuzzi which I enjoyed because it is quiet I like the fact that they separate the spa from the hotel because it is quiet but it does take a while to receive food and drinks and unfortunately you are LIMITED . I think if you are receiving multiple Spa services you should be able to experience the hotel views and amenities. Also, you can only order spa food and wine , no cocktails or regular food. I recommend

Just me, my iPad and espa's pool. Bliss!

So I pasted that review below this one, which is my 2nd visit to the Spa. This time around, not only was I greeted at the main entrance and provided with my Aescape massage outfit, but Arnold from the Spa greeted me at the front and walked me back to the Spa and got me all set up for my 2nd robot massage. Once again, I loved it! So this time around, I opted for the upper back and shoulders massage. The table remembered my settings from the last time so I didn't have to go through those steps again [it does give you the option to make adjustments though]. After body scan it got to work focusing on the knots in my shoulders - in addition to the ability to adjust the pressure throughout the massage, you could also 'heart' on the screen at any point of the massage that you loved, I would imagine so the robot knew to keep doing that or maybe a little extra focus. 30 minutes well spent and I got a 20% offer to come back next time. This time around the Spa desk was fully manned. ***my review from the Equinox Gym page *** My review is for the Aescape massage provided by Equinox. I saw an ad for the Aescape robot massage while scrolling Facebook - Aescape places these massage machines in different gyms and spas, so I picked the Equinox in Aventura since it was the closest. Check-in at the main gym front entrance was quick and pleasant , but once I got to the desk in the spa area it took a minute to find anyone to actually help me. Eventually someone showed me to the room and had me change into the little fitted top and bottom they provide. You also take off your shoes and jewelry and put your hair up so the machine arms don't get caught. Everything is computerized [no surprise there] When you lie face-down, there's basically an iPad-esque screen right under you. From this screen you pick your massage style, pressure, focus areas, ambiance music, adjust the table... all of it. Then the machine scans your body to map out your stress points like it's building a strategic plan for your back. FYI -- if you move, even a little, the machine pauses until you're back in position. I chose the full-body massage with extra attention on my shoulders. Each section had phases -- a warm-up, the main massage, and a cooldown. You can skip past any section if you want and adjust pressure at any time. Now, my mind kept flashing to every robot movie I've ever seen but honestly? This was one of the best massages I've had. The machine knew exactly where my shoulder knots were hiding. When I finished, there was nobody at the tiny spa desk again, so I just quietly walked out. Wasn't sure what else to do lol I give the massage itself 5 stars, but took one off because the spa area felt completely unattended both when I walked in and when I walked out. I wasn't even sure if I was supposed to check out with someone or just disappear into the sunset I will say I recall the person who helped me saying it was a relatively new addition to the gym [I think], and I did receive a follow up text asking about my experience. For the price [$19 to $$29] it cant be beat. I'm definitely going back, not just for the cost though but because that massage actually got the knots out of my shoulders!

Both did an excellent job. I would say that i would come again but was met with quite a surprise when I got to my car... a parking ticket because I backed in... nowhere in the parking lot are there signs posted saying no backing in. I was warned by Marina upon entering the lot that I needed to make sure to pay for parking before walking off because they give tons of tickets there. I did as Marina suggested. Once you get down below in the parking area, you lose all reception on your cell phone so you have to do it upon entry. So beware of these things if you decide to visit because the City of Hallandale Beach is watching you waiting for you to fall prey to their shenanigans, freaking crooks! Not even 15 minutes later and they hit me with a ticket. Sucks to be relaxed after a massage and then you end up getting a parking ticket. Other than that, the spa is amazing and so is the service.

When he asked about pressure I initially said medium but was unsure if I could tolerate more pressure on the stubborn knots (I sometimes worry "medium" for a male therapist is not the same as it is with a female therapist). He was very good with communication and applied extra pressure where I needed it, without making me wince in pain as I've sometimes tolerated for extra tight muscles. He also used a blanket when covering my back with a hot towel which kept the towel from cooling off too fast, and later rolled a hot towel under my neck for the facing up part of the massage. I wish everyone did this with towels. Overall a great massage and if you're a local or ever visiting this part of Florida, definitely recommend Edward G. Also wanted to note that the front desk was very kind; I had come in a Lyft straight from Target without enough time to drop my bags off at my hotel room and she immediately offered to keep them in the office so I wouldn't have to drag them to the waiting room and massage room. I didn't catch her name but that was an extra act of kindness that not everyone would think of. Thank you!
