Samir & Tania were amazing! Front desk at the spa was super helpful & accommodating. The spa itself is more a boutique spa than a large filled with amenities type spa. Still very pleasant & relaxing. Service at the beach was impeccable & the food was surprisingly pretty good! Just a nice freshly made sandwich & quesadilla. The frozen drinks were okay but I am not usually a fan. My appointment was for the hotstone mani and pedi. As soon I went there, everyone was so nice. I went to the zen room to relax and got water before they came and got me. Omy, was the person who did my mani and pedi. I asked her what color was great for Miami. She pointed out a few colors. I went with pink and light green. I think its very Miami colors. If not, its okay i loved the colors and it complemented each other. Reminds me of the movie Wicked. She did an amazing job. The only one issue i had was the hot stones. I wish it was like a massage. The hot stones were super light touch. I'm used to the aggressive massage. Its okay, overall experience i enjoyed. I think next time I'll so something else and I won't do hot stone. She offered a drink. The mimosas were good. The tip is 21% which they included when checking out. The price is reasonable, same as Texas. I'm happy with my mani and pedi. Go to Omy, and book with her. She also does facials. read more

Prices are definitely higher than it really should be, for a spa at a resort of this caliber, but the services were good--no complaints. Gratuity is calculated as a percentage and is automatically added. The spa has a small but decent lounge with delicious hot tea and water, and a sauna. Not amazing in that I'd recommend people go here specifically but if someone asked I would say it was good! read more

I'm giving The Palms Spa a one-star review due to an extremely disappointing experience. I've booked through ResortPass many times, and typically, they call to confirm. However, when I called today to confirm my two massages for tomorrow, I was told they couldn't accommodate me. They claimed to have left voicemails and texts, but I received nothing. I have only one phone number registered with them, and I never got any communication until I called them. The voicemail came only after I reached out, and now I'm forced to cancel my appointment. Additionally, the receptionist was incredibly unprofessional and rude. As someone who's worked in the service industry, I know that they should be able to accommodate customers and offer alternatives instead of canceling last minute and being rude. It's also frustrating that they lied about contacting me when they didn't. I've been a loyal customer and even created content for them because I loved their massages and services. This incident has truly changed my view, and I hope they improve their customer service. read more

The place was clean , THE MASSAGE itself is very bad ( we ask for a relaxing massage ), they basically put moisturizer on us , not full body , only the same parts , so half legs , half arms . My wife never had a back problem in her entire life and she said the gentlemen who massaged her destroyed her back. She's been in pain the whole day . Low back , neck , she's says its feel like the pressure was so strong into her back and neck ,the pressure went into her chest too , Also left the massage unfinished and she feels like she has knots all over her back and neck . She's being crying and had pain the whole day even when she bend over or make a small movementp This was a horrible experience for us I feel very bad for my wife . Now if her pain won't go we will go and seek help from a doctor . read more

I could not rave about my experience with Ydania more. She was such an exceptional masseuse, I have never in my life had someone CARE so much and not just go through the motions of a massage!! Ydania cared about my problem points and really honed in and focused on the issues I expressed I was having and truly made such a difference on my body. Not only was she amazing at her job but you could truly tell and energetically feel how amazing and genuine she is as a person. I feel especially during massages you always want to the energy to feel good and Ydania checked every single box. Save your money. I had the 55 minute aromatherapy Swedish massage and it was in no way worth the money. I've had much better massages for much less. If you're sensitive to smells, skip the aromatherapy. It had me gagging by the end and it took two days and plenty of showers to get rid of the scent. read more

I had a wonderful experience at The Palms Aveda Spa. I had a massage and a body treatment booked on separate days. My massage was amazing! Being in the industry myself I find it hard to relax and enjoy self care but this was by far the best massage I've been able to experience. The next day I was back for my body treatment with enthusiasm. It did not let me down. I was so pleased with both therapists and the desk! I even picked up a few products to take home. We had such a lovely experience at this spa! The front host was so friendly and accommodating. It was such a relaxing experience. I surprised my boyfriend with a couples massage. Both the massage therapist were respect and knowledgeable. They treated us well! I loved the steam room! It was intense but exactly what we needed. Spa Month Miami is here, my favorite time of the year. It was my first time at the AVEDA and it did not disappoint. For $109 plus tax and gratuity I received a 75 minute massage with a foot scrub. My therapist was super duper amazing. I caught myself sleep moaning once or twice, super embarrassing lol. The bathroom attendant was super nice and beyond accommodating. The deal also includes access to the pool and beach. The beach access has lounge chairs and umbrellas. What more can you ask for? My girl friends and I did have lunch at the Tiki bar. We shared the gauc and chips, good but the portion is not really shareable. The Korean BBQ tacos were really good. The service was also decent, no complaints. All in all we had an amazing spa day here. Definitely worth the time, money and visit. read more

I took my wife to the spa for her birthday and got an 80 minute couples massage. Was very unsatisfied with wasting my time and money. There's a 20% tip automatically added into the service price at checkout so no incentive for the therapists to actually do a good job. My therapist was sporadic and seemed to have no interest in my relaxation but rather wanted to go through the motions. My wife's therapist would constantly stop and seemed like she was texting throughout the service. Both therapists left everything they needed across the room so every time they needed more oil they'd stop, walk away, get some, and then return. They started me late and did not complete my 50min massage. I also having a hard time breathing after the message as hurts my lower right back when I breathe. I don't feel safe in this spa. Upgraded to hot stone and the lady who's doing the massage did not even use it in my whole body and still ended up paying for $154.80. I lived in Miami Beach for 25 years and have been to many spas but I have never been treated worse at any place . The person who thinks she owns the spa and the whole palms hotel (her name is Vivian) literally threatened to have me thrown off the Palms hotel because I told her that she was making up stories for a lack of a simple hair dryer . I just wanted to spend a relaxing time at a spa and I ended up leaving the spa with cold dripping wet hair waiting for my car. She told me there is no steam room use allowed because of Covid and told me that it's displayed on their spa site which is NOT CORRECT . She then told me not to worry they will heat the massage bed etc but that was not done either . The room was super cold with a super cold bed and massage therapist had to cover me with extra towels and it was a horrific experience because I could not relax due to shivering. He put super hot stones on my freezing body and that made the experience even worse . The worst part is After I left the shower I was looking for a hair dryer all over in the locker rooms and there was none. so I went out with my dripping wet hair asking Vivian for a hairdryer and she looked blank in my face not knowing what to say and I told her please don't tell me you do not have a hair dryer because of Covid either and she nodded and said yes . That's when I knew she was lying and lost it and told her that that's a BS that she just made up because there is no such measures given by the city not to use hairdryers in a hotel ( you literally touch everything in the locker rooms and you cannot touch a hairdryer !!) or in a hotel spa and that I I'm very familiar with hotel businesses and COVID measures and that it is not my first time in a spa. I asked her to show me the regulation that says no hairdryers in a spa and that's when she said she would have me thrown off the hotel like she is the GM of the hotel or something. I realized I was dealing with someone super unprofessional. Instead of threatening me she could have at least tried to get a hair dryer from the front desk upstairs and accommodate me as a caring spa manager would just to make her clients feel comfortable and not let them leave with dripping wet hair. I went upstairs complained about her to the front desk . I don't even know if the hotel management knows anything about it but I'll make sure they do . I left the hotel feeling super cold with wet hair on a thanksgiving day !! Horrible experience. I would never go back to that hotel again . With someone like her working there their spa can never compete with many other spas in the area like Setai or edition etc which actually have similar price range and the treatment is way better. I was staying at the hotel and the main reason I decided to book my massage here was because I had 20% off. I booked at 50 minute deep tissue massage and was so extremely happy with my experience. It would have been worth the full price. My therapist was Lidia and she was fantastic. She did an amazing job and I left feeling fantastic. I just wish I had been able to book a longer appointment. I highly recommend a massage with Lidia and while I didn't have any other services the spa was Very nice and I'm sure all of their services are Good. read more

I went with a group of four and everyone was leaving with a smile. Spa Month is going on as of this writing, making this a higher end bargain at a flat $109.00 plus tips for a 75 minute session. You are givien access to the facility as well as the pool and beach area. $15 parking once validated makes it an added bonus and you can usually stay for about 7 hours at this rate. My concern was that the changing rooms are way too small. Not usually an issue for men, but i did hear from my female friends that 2-3 people in there gets uncomfortable and cluttered. The showers are in the same area as the bathroom and the changing area so you may be exposed to heat if something is showering and you are changing. Spa was extremely clean with super friendly and helpful staff. They do accept Spa Finder certificates so if you have them, it's another plus. Therapists were all great. While a touch limited on amenities still a solid choice for a more upscale spa experience. read more

Absolutely NOT a 5 star facility. 3.5 - 4 stars at most. They add in a 20% gratuity - so the 20% discount you get for being a hotel guest and pre-booking is a wash. My $50 pedicure went up to $60 and then back down to $50. Whatever. Pedicure was Aveda - following the typical Aveda spa protocols. If you like Aveda products you'll get exactly what you should. No more, no less. Front desk staff was fine. Nail Technician from Italy (I sadly, forgot her name) was nice enough but made NO EFFORT to get to know me or engage in idle chatter. (This could be a plus.) I only had a spa pedicure - so I can't comment on massage/facial/hair - but the locker room was small, but clean and well stocked. The relaxation/waiting room is nice and has hot tea, cold water and a steam room to enjoy. It is under the stairs and near a rushing water fountain. I would return but not in a hurry. I went las Sunday for my birthday and was happy for my Masage but a have a manicure included and a want to change for another service and the manager was very rude and he tell me I can't do anything about so I don't do my manicure and I lost the money that my husband pay for my services . Stayed at the Palms last month, during Spa Month, so naturally I got a treatment here AVEDA spa. I was in need of a good facial and got one, but looking back I don't know if that discount worked out. Other people have wrote about this so I'll defer. My facialist was excellent, listened to me and took the time to ask me all the right questions for this treatment. I chose the scalp massage for my spa month special and it wasn't special. It was just oil on my head that took a lot of effort to get out (although I wanted this treatment- it didn't go as it usually does). There was no real scalp massage, my hair salon does more. I am beyond ecstatic with my experience at The Palms Spa today! Im so excited that I could hardly wait to get home to write this review! I've been super stressed at work so I decided to make today a "Treat Yourself" day. I had a good feeling I made the right spa choice as soon as I made the call to book my appointment. The receptionist was so friendly and informative. I had a few questions and she was able to answer them all and recommend services based on my specific needs. I decided to go for the Island Style Cabana Massage, which is a private cabana by the pool, with shampure as my Aveda aroma. And OMG I could not be more thrilled about my choice! Let's start with parking. Since I was already treating myself to a full on spa day, I decided not to stress out about parking and went straight to valet. The spa validates 50% of valet so I only had to pay $15! (I mean, it doesn't get better than that in South Beach!) I walked into the spa to the cutest reception with a retail selection. Just by walking in I wanted to buy all the scented candles!! The receptionist again (not sure if she was the same from my call) was super nice and friendly. She checked me in and took me to the locker room to get changed. I then waited for the therapist in the beautiful relaxation area. I arrived a bit early to start my relaxation process. It was like shutting the world off. I felt sooo relaxed and at peace! It even had access to a cozy terrace which I enjoyed after my massage. The Island Style Cabana was a dream. I was giddy when I walked in. It was just so beautiful! And I felt I was on a deserted island during my massage. My massage therapist, Brenton, was AMAZING!!! I've had massages before but he is on another level!! He was able to melt every knots and stress away! After my glorious massage, I walked on clouds back to the relaxation area. The spa manager even checked in on me in the relaxation area and got me a cold beverage. She was sooo sweet and attentive. Although the spa doesn't have a sauna or jacuzzi, the fact that you get access to the pool and beach all day made up for it in a big way! I spent the rest of the day between the beach and the pool. I felt like a million bucks. I also treated myself to lunch at the hotel's restaurant and ate a delicious salmon poke bowl by the pool. I just want to thank Ms. Vivian and her amazing staff for making my day so special. This was exactly what I needed and everyone went above and beyond to make me feel whole again. Had a wonderful time, the masseuse was excellent, The Steam room was quite steamy and modern, the locker rooms are clean and updated. Had a hard time making the shower hot, The waiting room is kind of small and doesn't have really that comfortable of furniture compared to other waiting rooms I've been in. I had the most horrible experience getting my hair and make up done here. I was in Miami for a wedding and paid 200 dollars for these services and they did not even remotely do what I asked for regarding my hair .. he put a thousand pins in my hair and an entire bottle of hairspray and it looked horrible. A hair-do that my grandmother would get. The makeup person used foundation that was too light for me and did not even put primer or any moisturizer before applying the makeup and my face looked like it was cracking. I asked for a Smokey eye and the eyeliner looked like she took a crayon to my eyelid . I left there and took out my hair and scrubbed my face and had to do everything over myself. I left there very upset and wasted 200 dollars for nothing. I would never recommend this place for hair and makeup and I will never go back for those services. read more

Booked a couples massage while on vacation and we were so pleased. As soon as we arrived we were sent to the locker rooms for our robes and sandals. When we finally met our masseuse they were so pleasant and met all of our expectations. Finished off our 60 minute massage with a hot shower and it was very nice to end our stay there. My first visit to The Palms was perfect and I will return. I needed a long weekend getaway from the snowy northeast. I visited the Aveda Spa and had a massage with Michelle. I get a lot of massages at home and on vacations so I know a good masseuse when I have one. Michelle has excellent massage technique and the spa rooms are high end. The music is spot on. The steam room was relaxing after a day in the sun. The spa manager Hailey is professional, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel rooms supply free Aveda bath products. I'll be back! read more
