My daughter loved this but they moved and I don't know where to. I would give it 5 stars if I would have been informed of the new location.

She has loved all of her time at Byers and it's essentially her second home because of all the time she spends there. She has strong bonds with her teammates from all the groups and some of my closest friends are their parents. :) She loves all her coaches- she has several!!! And enjoys & receives all of their instruction, encouragement, knowledge, and fun personalities. She feels safe and comfortable letting them know if she is having growing pains and needs to take it easy sometimes at practice which I've heard a lot of gymnasts fear talking to their coaches. When I've emailed the coaches with questions or to see how my daughter is doing, I always receive a response with clear positive explanation. My son even did the parent and me classes when he was 2.5 and he LOVES going to the monthly Parents Night Out. They also have an awesome Flip and Fit class that I plan to sign my 6 yr old son up for once soccer is finished. We love Byers Rocklin and Roseville!!

Seeing how much she learned and how confident she became in such a short amount of time was amazing. She especially loved her teacher, Mrs. Elisha! She was kind, helpful and encouraging, but also knew when to be stern to keep the kids focused, which I really appreciated. She did a great job recognizing where my daughter was strong and where she needed a little more work and helped push her without making it feel like too much. Another thing I really liked is that they have something for pretty much every level. Whether it be rec, professional or for fun, there's room for everyone! They also do a lot outside of regular classes, like family activities and Parents Night Out, which was always a nice bonus.

I know that it is reasonably priced and very convenient to those of us who live in Roseville, Rocklin, and Lincoln. The gym can be set up several different ways for basketball. You can run a full court basket-to-basket or even lower 4 hoops (2 on either side of the gym) to run two games side-by-side on smaller courts. It's great to have the flexibility to choose either or. The wood playing surface is in great condition and is so much better on my knees than on some of the concrete indoor gym floors that we have played on. They have good restroom facilities, water fountains, and a great HVAC system for AC on those typically hot summer days in Lincoln and heat on the cold wintery days. I know that there is a church that uses this facility every Sunday and I have seen the court configured for Volleyball as well.

They offer a ton of classes for lots of interest and ages. I can really only speak to the offerings for toddlers. But the open play is great! What a nice way to meet neighbors and give the kids an opportunity to socialize, especially when the weather is so hot outside. I hope they expand that to weekends as well for working parents to enjoy.

I found Miyagi's through their open gyms for my younger daughter which was always a fun experience…read more My older daughter decided she wanted a gymnastics themed birthday party so we booked a birthday party for her with them. My husband and I were both very disappointed. We were allowed to get there at 1:45 to set up for a 2:00 party and when we got there the woman at the front desk was calling the coach who was supposed to be working it and the coach had forgotten she was working that day. Nothing had been set up yet in the gym so the woman at the front scrambled to get some things set up. She was clearly annoyed with this. The "party room" is just the table to the right of the front desk which is pretty cluttered and dirty. The kids and adults at the party were told many rules they weren't following correctly which was very uncomfortable as the host of the birthday. They asked about getting all the girls of the party into lessons with each other in front of another mom which was also uncomfortable for me because I just wanted the parents to enjoy a nice birthday party without being pressured to sign their children up for something. The coach for the party showed up about 45 minutes late, never came over to introduce herself, and mostly sat around. The website does say the coach will set up games for the kids and things like that. When I walked over to her to introduce myself I asked her if she could do the bubble guns they use at their open gyms because our kids love them and she proceeded to tell me they don't always do them for all parties because if the kids don't like them it's a waste of their bubbles but she was willing to do them for us. They have two bubble guns and when you use both of them (which I've seen other coaches do with ease) it's a much better effect, but she said if I wanted both bubble guns used another parent from the party would need to help her. After the party was over and we cleaned everything up my husband asked her if everything looked ok and if we'd cleaned everything up well enough, and she just responded that she'd just stepped on something sticky. So all in all, we were very displeased with the party on Miyagi's end. We felt the customer service was lacking from all involved and besides having access to the gym...we are not really sure what we paid for.
