I've never been so disappointed with a children's facility. We were invited to a birthday party and they refused to let my child play on the floor- she had to watch. They said she wasn't old enough. Keep in mind she's 3.5 and I was actively supervising her the entire time. They even have classes for young children - but don't allow them on the floor for birthday is ridiculous. While I sat and watched - the kids were allowed to run through a "obstacle course." The mats were rolling everywhere and the coaches sat and watched. The obstacle course wasn't very safe. The barrels roll and the coaches would just kind of push them back and the next kid would run over it and it would roll again. Such a disappointment! Do not recommend at all. read more

We came in for the free trial and left disappointed. There were safety concerns with how many kids were in classes. My daughter is tall and muscular. She was concerned she was going to hurt someone because classmates and other students kept encroaching when it was her turn. The teachers have been amazing! We have 4 different teachers because we are doing 4 classes a week with the 2 girls, all great! I love that they keep the kids focused and don't waste time. I will start out by saying my 5 year old daughter has been attending Extreme Gymnastics weekly sessions since August. She has been with Kiara the entire time and refuses to try any other teachers because of how amazing Kiara is with her and all of the other little ones. She is very patient and has such a calming voice that the kids listen to. She ALWAYS has a smile on her face and always looks so happy to be there. My daughter has improved a lot in the past few months with Kiara and I love that she breaks everything down for my daughter as she has never done gymnastics or any sort of dance prior to starting here. Kiara definitely deserves recognition!!!! My daughter has loved coming here so much that she wanted to do her 6th birthday party here, which happened yesterday. The pricing, in my opinion, is a very good deal. You get the whole gym to yourselves for 1 hour and 45 minutes and it is a BIG gym. The pricing for 10 kids is $250 and you are able to bring your own food and drinks and decorations. They also have a fridge you can use if needed. We were able to go in 15 minutes prior to the party starting to decorate the party area and set up our appetizers that we brought. I was under the impression that there would be two party hosts helping up but there was only one, which wasn't a big deal. Our party host from the party yesterday, Nick, was absolutely amazing! Not only was he extremely approachable, but before the party started he went over timing and the schedule for the party and made sure I didn't have any further questions. I was worried that 1 party host wouldn't be enough for 10 little ones running in all directions, but Nick was amazing with them. He was very patient and had all their attentions when needed. I also want to point out that it is very hard to keep track of all kids by yourself in this giant gym, but he was keeping track of all of them and always looking around. While he was doing that, he was helping kids with the zip line and rope swing as well. Not only was I extremely impressed with him, but almost all of the parents that came were very impressed. After doing cupcakes, Nick told us not to worry about cleaning and he would do it. He was sweeping and working very hard the entire time. We knew there was a party coming in after us so we wanted to help him as much as we could since it was just him. He deserves some recognition as well because a few of our party goers are now interested in hosting a party here specifically because of Nick. Our daughter had the best time and I would definitely recommend this as a party if your child is interested in gymnastics or even trampolines or climbing anything! The -1 star has absolutely NOTHING to do with Kiara, Nick, or the party and if I could, I would give them 5/5 stars across the board. There are a few negatives I wanted to point out: -One minor issue I have had is I can NEVER get through to them on the phone. I double checked with the front desk at my daughter's practice to make sure I had the right number, which I did, but for some reason, no matter the time of the day, I always get the voicemail, but when I go inside both front desk people are not on the phone, which kind of sucks especially if I have a question about payments or anything on the account. -Parking isn't the best, but it also depends on the time of day you go. Around the 430-530 time frame during the week, it's chaos and hard to find parking, so we just make sure to arrive earlier so we aren't late. (This is definitely manageable on the parents end if they show up a few minutes early to practice) -Another thing I do want to point out that another parent pointed out on the Yelp page is the tough/"mean" coaches. I have observed that myself and have noticed there are one or two coaches (of the older girls) that yell and talk not so nicely to the girls. I completely get it being a competitive sport and tough as I played competitive soccer my entire life, but I will say when I do notice one of the coaches yelling and kind of degrading the girls, it is sad because I have seen multiple girls cry on the gym floor and when they walked past parents in the bleachers. It was very sad. Just from a parent stand point, this is why my daughter is afraid to move up and/or see any other coach besides Kiara, so when my daughter moves up another level we may not continue with this gym if Kiara isn't coaching that level. Overall, this gym is very big with multiple sets of bleachers to sit in depending on where your child is at. From my stand point and observation, almost all the coaches are nice and patient with the kids, minus one or two that I have noticed. They have a lot of equipment and different things for the kids to do each practice. read more

If you care at all about the safety of your child, DO NOT go here!! My child attended her first "trial" class this evening at Extreme Gymnastics. She was placed in an intermediate class based on her previous 9 months of gymnastics experience at another gym. There was no prior assessment, I figured they would assess her during her first class. Her coach was a "sub", I introduced my daughter and told her it was her first class at Extreme. During the lesson, my daughter was left alone on a bar. She was instructed to practice a new move by herself, while the coach instructed the rest of the class at a separate bar. My daughter had never done this move before and was struggling without any help or guidance. She fell off the bar, head first, and landed on her neck. None of the staff approached my daughter to check on her because no one saw her fall, because NO ONE WAS WATCHING HER. Eventually when I flagged a staff member down to ask for help, she was more concerned with reviewing the video tapes than getting my child the ice I requested for her neck. When I asked to see the tapes, the staff member informed me the tape was not working. How convenient. She also defended the coaches ratio of students and said it was common that students are left alone/unsupervised. This gymnastics center clearly lacks very important safety rules/procedures. Children should never be left alone or unsupervised, especially in an unfamiliar setting where they are inexperienced and attempting to learn new techniques. read more

Extreme Gymnastics has a wonderful program that is growing exponentially. The coaches are wonderful and really work with the kids on their techniques. The front office staff are all nice. We've been going here for almost two years and have had a great experience thus far. We've been to others and the attention and training they receive here is great! Our gymnasts has improved significantly and its due to their program here with their wonderful coaches. On Saturdays and during breaks they do offer open gym which is nice for the gymnasts to work on their routines and improve. We have yet to have a birthday party - so that is something to look forward too. You can't go wrong with this gym. They have a great program. read more

The great: the coaches. I have not met or observed one single coach who does not appear to truly ENJOY their job. They are kind, supportive and attentive while still setting high - yet attainable standards. The not great: the front desk staff. I try to avoid the two front desk ladies. I find them to be in-genuine and I believe they truly do NOT enjoy their job. From their presence on the phone to their presence in person, they are not a good representation of this business, which is a shame because they are in constant contact with all current and future paying customers. My girls really like class here, so much so that my daughter also had her birthday here. We paid extra for extra kids, as we were told there would be an extra person (2 instructors) for safety. The party started & a parent says "Boy, the coach really isn't having it today." Then I realized why he was being grumpy with the kids- There was only 1 person! When we asked him, he said the other guy just didn't show. Not his fault, but kind of crappy that they make you pay for something, citing safety & then bail on you. In addition, beware when it comes time to change to the punch card or take summer vacation. They say you need to give a 30 day notice. So I did, wanting to switch to the punch card as summer gets hectic. I gave my 30 day notice on 5/8, so it would coincide with summer break. The person at the desk told me the 30 day notice only counted on 5/1, so they are going to charge me an extra month... What the hell? That's not 30 days! Seems like they've worked out some good ways to wringing extra money out of people! read more

Our 2 year old has been going here for about two months now and we really like this place. It's a bit out in the middle of nowhere in Loomis, but it is worth the drive if you live in Roseville or Rocklin. We tried a couple other places for toddler tumbling, namely The Little Gym in Rocklin and Flip2It in Roseville. Both were overpriced for their class offerings (around $80 a month for only one 1-hour class a week). For a lower price, we are able to come here with our toddler and attend up to four classes a week. Class size is reasonable and the instructors are very attentive. The kids start out with a warm up and then do an obstacle course, bounce house and small trampoline exercise. Then they move to the balance beam and tumbling on the mats. Towards the end of class they get free play time and can do a variety of things, swing into a large foam pit, do a rappel line and jump on a large trampoline. Our son is exhausted by the end of the class and this has been a great way for him to get all his extra energy out. He always eats, naps and sleeps great after attending! read more

I can't comment on the parties but I will comment on their gymnastics classes. Both my daughters were in their weekly gym classes. The coaches have been great! I'm not reviewing the coaching staff. They look like they enjoy their jobs and they are for the most part enthusiastic. We stopped just because they lost interest but one of my daughters started back up again in their competitive team during the pandemic. I think there was a mom who used to organize this but when she left no one really filled her spot. It was chaotic, poor communications, and just unprofessional. This gym needs to revamp their front staff and organization and be more consumer friendly. I was being charged for this and that, people were refunded different amounts of money for competitions that did not take place (or not refunded at all) with little or vague explanations. Their billing is questionable and they do not respond to emails. I would advise just being aware of this. read more

My son has been doing competitive gymnastics at Extreme for 4 years now. I'm reviewing Extreme's boys competitive program here, although they also have recreational gymnastics for the little ones, a girls program, and a cheer program. The coaching at Extreme is top-notch. My son was coached by Mike for his entire time at Extreme, and I would not hesitate to recommend Mike as a coach to anyone's child. Mike is able to guide the kids, inspiring them to do their absolute best. And his kids, even with fewer hours in the gym than other teams (16 hours a week for the upper-level boys vs. 25 per week for some Bay Area teams), more than hold their own in competitions. There are two other boys coaches, and from what I've seen, they do a great job with the kids too. If you have a son who is interested in competitive gymnastics (which is a wonderful sport!), make sure they do gymnastics through Extreme! read more

During COVID especially it feel like they don't care about keeping the gym clean at all. They also don't care about warning you if your child's coach is going to unexpectedly change. Some kids need a warning! And the gym just doesn't care about that, or the owner doesn't care. Even if they call in sick you know that in advance, just shoot the classes an email so the kids are aware. I can honestly say some of the coaches are great but some of them have just terrible attitudes, and the gossiping out on the floor in clear ear shot of not only the kids but the parents is a complete turn off. They need to take a step back and reevaluate their ideals as a gym and a business. read more

I signed my 3 year old daughter up for the 3 year old class with Mrs. Bobby in the beginning of July. My daughter attended 3 classes before Mrs. Bobby kicked her out. My daughter is energetic an inquisitive but by no means is she aggressive, disruptive or disrespectful (reasons you would expect a child to be kicked out). She acted as other children in class acted. Mrs. Bobby is know for giving the younger kids time out when they are struggling to participate in class. In fact my friend's child attended Mrs. Bobby's class when she was my daughters age and received several time outs. My daughter had 1 time out out of 3 classes. After the first 2 classes Mrs. Bobby would talk to me and tell me how great my daughter was doing, however after the 3rd class she informed me that my daughter was kicked out and no longer allowed to attend her class. I was confused as to why but I accepted it and decided I would find a different activity for my child. I was charged for 2 full months (9 classes, my daughter attended the first 3 Wednesday classes in June), when I called to get my money back for August I was told that Mrs. Bobby would call me back, she never did. I called again a couple days later and was informed that Mrs. Bobby told me my daughter could finish the classes through August. This was absolutely not the case! My friend who's child was in another class during my daughter's class was standing right next to me when Mrs. Bobby informed me my child was no longer allowed to participate in the class. My friend confirmed that there was no talk of finishing the class through August. The woman on the phone told me because of that I would not receive my money back. I believe Mrs. Bobby and the people running extreme gymnastics are liars. They have a maximum of 6 children in each class and I've checked in on my daughter's Wednesday class which I was charged for and have seen 6 children in the class which means that they haven't reserved my childs spot. I would not recommend taking your child here. I have since enrolled my daughter in Auburn Gymnastics, the have been great and have not had any issues with my daughter. read more

Extreme Gymnastics has been a second home to our family for 4 years!!! My daughter has taken the Parent participation class and is now enrolled in the kinder program! She absolutely loves and it's all she has been talking about for months. The owners are both caring and compassionate individuals who pride themselves in countinuously improving and expanding the gym. They are always building their staff and offering training and safety certifications. It is hands down one of the cleanest gyms in Region 1 I have stepped foot in. Coach Ted and Coach Bobbi are providing excellent care and excitement to the kinder program!!! The girl's team director Laura eats, breathes and sleeps gymnastics. Her love for the sport pours out through her instruction and dedication to her children and how she runs her teams and program!! Coach Kirsten has done a phenomenal job for both the recreational program as well as the girl's team program! Her student's scores on vault speak for themselves! Coach Nate and Coach Josh are some of the most enthusiastic and well experienced urban gymnastics (Parkour) I've had the opportunity of watching. It truly is a joy to watch them step out on the floor. They are both full of life and energy and it pours out on the floor! If you have the chance I highly recommend you stepping into the gym sometime and seeing what it's all about. read more

We had our sons birthday party here. We were told that we would have 20 mins prior to the party to set up any food and decorations and that the room would be decorated with table coverings and balloons. We arrived at 2:40pm and were apologized to by a nice man named Crow that for some reason someone booked another party until 3pm and once they leave they will clean up and set up our party. We expressed our confusion and frustration. He explained that he had been trying to get ahold of the owner to find out why it happened and what to do. Meanwhile 5 mins until 3pm the other party was still in full force and effect and our guests were arriving and we were still waiting in the bleachers. Crow said we could go set up while the other party was still in the room. When I walked in the other party seemed a bit frustrated that their party was getting rushed when they paid until 3 and the mother commented. A young girl named kaylee was beyond rude and unprofessional. She sloppily threw new table coverings on the tables and said they didn't have balloons and demanded payment right then and there. I couldn't believe her attitude. From reading other reviews it sounds like it's how she is at every party. She was awful. I asked to speak to the owner and he was no better. Such a rude jerk! No customer service at all and acted like he was doing us a huge favor for us to have our party that we were paying $270 for. I told him I was so disappointed and that his female employee was very rude and disrespectful. He didn't care. While I was talking to him the rude girl kept chipping away with rude remarks and attitude. I told him I wanted a discount of the extra half hour we were paying since the other party was still in the room and we had no time to set up and he refused and continued to have attitude. I told him thank you for ruining my sons birthday and that it was unacceptable. The whole mood and day was ruined. The other family was upset. The kaylee girl kept chipping away with attitude. It shouldn't be this way especially when their website and the female owner we booked through said it would be completely different. I have never experienced anything like it. I told Kaylee to leave me alone when she kept harassing me and let me set up my sons birthday and then she left for the day. Crow is the only saving grace in this event. He was wonderful. He was polite. Respectful. Apologetic. Professional. More than I can say than the owner or Kaylee. He really tried to make right and continued to apologize for the lack of professionalism by the Kaylee and the owner. He said that normally all of the parties have a 30 minute window in between. Crow was wonderful and very attentive to the children and helped structure the event. He had much more professionalism than the owner. I'm appalled by the owner. Crow should start his own gym and create parties. He's the only thing positive about this gym. I will never ever have another party here. I wouldn't give this owner another dime of my money after the way we were treated by him and that terrible rude 18 yr old girl that should be fired. Take your birthday party and money elsewhere. Owner doesn't give a damn about you or your party. Crow saves this gym. Don't give these people your money! I would send them an email but per other reviews they don't care about their customers. I wish I would have read reviews prior to my booking of this party and I would have gone to another gym. read more

All three of my kids love Extreme Gymnastics! They offer lots of class options to fit in our busy schedule. The front desk staff has always been courteous and helpful! We have taken lots of different classes here from recreational classes like the mommy and me toddler class to now my second child is on team! My kids are all currently enrolled in the homeschool class as well! The competitive girls team is run very well! The coaches here are awesome and the owner is very kind and realistic as well. My daughters balance and communication has doubled just by coming to these kids classes once or twice a week. And just a side note, I can 100% guarantee the negative comments below are exaggerated. Even in the worst cases these guys are so kind and understanding. Only time they really had to put their foot down is for those parents trying to get a free party or a discount for ridiculous reasons. One lady suggested her kids party was "ruined"... all while he daughter and friends were laughing and playing! Bring your kids to Extreme. The weirdest, most unwelcoming experience I have received. This was a huge surprise since the staff I talked to on the phone were very friendly and seemed to be on top things. Took my daughter there when she was finally added from a waitlist. We showed up at the front desk to check in or at least get info as to where to go. Of the three people there no one greeted or acknowledged our existence. I said hello to one staff and he ignored me then turned to the two other people to chat. After trying to make eye contact and being ignored for a few minutes I went over to where the other parents/ kids were sitting. We just followed what others were doing since no staff would acknowledge us. After the warm up, I finally got a staff members attention to let him know this is our first time and he told us where to go. After being ignored again during the class and seeing the other kids get assistance from the staff while my daughter and I were apparently invisible, I decided it's time to just walk out. As my daughter and I were putting shoes on a staff member finally decided to ask for our names to check-in. A little to late. There's no shortage in gymnastics facilities so we joined a far more welcoming facility that meets and exceeds our expectations. read more

Only giving 2 stars because the kids had fun despite the party attendant not doing anything. Upon arrival, the party hostess is playing on her phone and just points across the room saying "party room is over there, I'll come over in a while." Our party was planned to start at 11am and at 10:58, I walk back to the hostess and ask if we can start since we're all just standing around waiting for her. She checks the time on her phone(that she playing on, not working) and says "party starts in 2 minutes, I'll come over then". So she's too busy Facebooking to bother with walking over a few minutes early and saying hello to us. She never introduced herself, never asked who the birthday kid was, never smiled, stared at her phone for most of the party. She did a 5 minute "warm up", turned on some music, and that was it. Kids had fun for free play, but she had zero interaction with them and looked like she could care less about being there. What a joke, this place is turning at least 4 parties a day with this terrible service; I feel ripped off and taken advantage of. Won't ever be back. **Updated 3 months after party** The owner responded to my emails and after reviewing their video footage, agreed with my complaints that the party attendant didn't do her job. I was promised at least some vouchers for classes or open gym for the kids as an apology for the situation. Shortly after that, I contacted the gym to inquire as to when we would receive the vouchers and to date(3 months later) have not received an email or phone call back and never received vouchers. Again, this place is a joke. Don't waste your time and money, how frustrating. read more

I have been taking my 1.5year old to the parent tot class since January. She has learned so much from Coach Bobby! This class has given her great strength and gross motor skills! The staff here is incredible! We started our daughter a little after she turned 3 and we did 1 class a week with Coach Ted to see how she liked it. She has since moved up to 2 days a week and promoted to the next class level with Coach Mike who is absolutely amazing and been going for almost 6 months now. I booked my son's 3rd birthday party here and it was a BLAST! We got the whole gym to ourselves and everyone had so much (including the adults!) I paid for the extra 30 min of play time and it worked out perfectly. The only bummer part is that you are totally on your own when it comes to doing presents and food/cake. As a single mom I was struggling a bit, but overall it was a great experience. I Google'd pizza places around the area and found Pizza Factory. They have a deal with this place so if you tell them you are having a party at Extreme Gymnastics and you order XL pizzas they'll give you 20% off. They also deliver so that was a life saver. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place to a friend and I would also book another party here. read more

Avoid having a birthday party here. If your child should happen to get injured prior to the event, they will keep your money despite calling 9 days in advance to notify them, showing a doctor's note for proof and having signed NO contract stating their policy. They ONLY care about the money, as you can tell from prior reviews. We enrolled online and I called to get more information about....everything, because this is my daughter's very first gymnastics class and their website is pretty generic. I had called three times but they have very limited times of availability. I think were starting at the next session, or that someone would call me at let us know info about her team, the class, what she may need to wear or purchase. We signed up in the beginning of Jan, thinking we are enrolled in the next starting session in Feb. as the current session was ending. I got no receipt in my email to advise what dates I was enrolled in. Forget trying to call and work things out, you can tell they have an absolutely No Refund policy and could careless about the confusion enrolling for a first time member, or the fact how difficult it is to reach them with such limited hours. I know if I ran a business, I would have even a tiny bit of empathy and want to make a good first impression helping a new member or guest that would be spending $100 a month get set up for their class and send a receipt, confirmation, follow up call, something to let them know when they are starting, who their coach or team is, etc. Didn't even get an email confirmation. I could see if we had been there before or doing this before, but we had literally never been to a class and was not given any information about the classes. We were told we need to make up the three classes we missed. The call was handled complete unprofessional by a young girl who was very rude and I could barely hear her because of the other girls in the background talking crap about another girl (maybe a student or co-worker, I couldn't tell). Well, I would be nice if we new that we were starting at the end of the current session and not the new one. I still wanted to go there, just start when we thought we were suppose to. If they worked with me even a bit, i would have been a long term customer as the location is the closest to my daughters school, but from my experience, the other reviewers, the crap I heard them talking about someone. i live in Roseville, her friends go to Flip To It and love it and it's quite a bit cheaper, closer to me and has excellent reviews. read more

I had an issue with my second child in the toddler class. I paid in advance thinking everything would be OK, but when I took her to the class she did not want to go in. I don't think it had much to do with the class but just the fact that she was going through a phase where transitions into classes were difficult for her. When she wouldn't go in, I asked for a refund since she refused to take the class. Originally they were unwilling to give me the refund and just wanted to give me class credit. I found this ridiculous since they offer a free trial class anyway. After going back and fourth with them they finally issued me a refund. My experience with their customer service brings down my original review at five stars to three stars. Going forward I don't think I'd go back to this gym after dealing with that issue. read more
