Heard about AppleOne through my mom as she found her long term career within the government sector 10+ years ago with AppleOne Agent, Armina! After graduating college, it was pretty difficult finding a corporate job outside my normal food-retail stores. Most/some jobs on indeed, zip-recruiter, LinkedIn we're all SCAMS (I've had my fair share of these UGH), so it was definitely discouraging. I felt stuck and hopeless. Sometime during the middle of 2021, I decided to leave my former employer due to the stress from work coming home with me. I didn't have any job lined up and didn't know where to start. If I could write a review specifically for Aysha Jainoor, I would. She has been a diamond in the rough of recruiters and staffing agencies for me who has always let me come back to her after trying to go off on my own! Aysha found me the first great job of my life where I was happiest and best taken care of. She was communicative and responsive with me the entire time, consistently asking if everything was going well, did I need anything, etc. She has been the most attentive agent I've ever worked with and someone who lets you know that you are genuinely cared for. Through no fault of AppleOne's, I unfortunately did not get permanently hired for that position, which put me in a slump. I had been at that job for a year, and was sure I would. After another great temporary assignment (albeit shorter) I went off on my own and retreated back to my old roots in the beauty industry. This did not go great, per se. When I'd had enough, I emailed her to let her know I was back looking for work and if she'd take me back, I'd love to work with her again. She immediately found me another fantastic long(ish) term position that I am currently very happy at and am extremely gracious and thankful towards her, and also Erika who is the recruiter for the company I've now been with twice. I recently seen on indeed.com a post of a job opening of AppleOne Employment Services in Long Beach Ca. I proceed to feel out an application through indeed jobs. The opening presented on the job listing made it appear as if AppleOne was hiring for an receptionist position at this location. On the post on Indeed jobs it said " Join Our Team As A Receptionist" For AppleOne In Long Beach Ca. The location by the Kilroy Airport in Long Beach. I proceeded to feel out an application because my resume has receptionist and customer service experience for over 10 years plus. Long story short i called AppleOne after i felt out the Application and i was transferred over to a JOB RECRUITER!!! My intention of being transferred over to maybe HR or and hiring supervisor was to check the status on the open position and to verify my application was received. The recruiter proceeds to inform me that they are not hiring for a receptionist position and that they help people who are seeking employment. Which to me gave off an false advertisement because it clearly dose not indicate, nor specify that on the indeed post. Which AppleOne is aware of. Because the recruiter did verify my application off of indeed post and my resume, and i clearly put emphasis on and indicated my intention were to check the status on an receptionist opening listed at this job location and company. The recruiter name Randi out of Long Beach location then tells me because my resume shows i have not worked in a year prior to my last job. That i would not qualify for an direct job, i would only be able to qualify for a temp job. Which is false because during the pandemic in 2020 working for AT&T I experience my job closing down and was on unemployment such as half of the rest of the world was and within a year latter i got hired at an family owned business by the name of Ion Faucet. I feel that some of these recruiter are now in the business of discouraging everyday people seeking employment, and telling people who are in need of a job, who may have a great length of work experience meeting the criteria of jobs they may be applying for FALSE INFORMATION!! To actually keep the recruiters employed and with job security. My theory of saying this is because if your job is to help seek temporary employment a person who may be in desperate need of seeking employment, and who dose not know any better will believe this narrative. They will get a temp job through the recruiter being the middle man, helping to direct you toward that employment, then once the job ends. You will have to now go back to the recruiter to seek new temp employment. Please BE AWARE OF THIS!! Robert half has been very effective and they are very professional and care to employ their clients quickly. After months of unsuccessful job hunting, I finally set up an appointment with Apple One. I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews posted on Yelp. I was relieved to discover the contradiction- I received a warm welcome from everyone I came in contact with in the Long Beach office and was assigned to Aysha Jainoor as my recruiter. I met with Aysha on August 1, 2017. Aysha began by asking me about my current position, past experience, preferred employment, compensation, and commuting distance. I've never worked with a recruiter so attentive and genuinely concerned with my needs. After we discussed my preferences, she went over my resume with a fine-tooth comb and made edits and suggestions to increase my chances of not only landing an interview, but being offered a position. Aysha was extremely proactive and set up an interview within a week for a potential employment opportunity that matched my skill level. I had my interview on August 10, 2017 and was offered the position the same day. From the moment I met her, Aysha has been nothing but supportive, understanding, attentive, and outright friendly. I was thoroughly impressed with her level of professionalism and prompt response-times. (I like to ask a lot of questions, so I'm happy I've found someone that doesn't grow weary answering them all!) Each time I work with Stacy Barth she displays blatant disrespect and unprofessionalism. She speaks to you as if you lack intellect and in an condescending manner. I have worked with other recruiting agencies and have a family member with apple one- so I am aware that her "communication" methods are not enforced by the agency itself- but management should step in and provide some customer service skills to Stacy. Perhaps, start by reminding her of apple ones motto-"hiring made human." I, like others who use recruiting agencies, use apple when I am transitioning between jobs- not because I lack the ability or intellect to obtain one. So I definitely will not tolerate attitude or being scolded as if I were a child. Side note: last week I was telling a friend who was looking for second job to use her- to which he replied "oh no she's crazy rude I don't like her." Update: 24 hours and still yet to be reached by management. Poor and unprofessional service. Very sad to treat returning clients like this. Update: called corporate and Stacy is actually stationed at the Long Beach location now. Corporate does not support or enforce her inability to communicate like a respectful individual. Meyumi promised to find me a job in my field, but suggested that I take this short term contract for now (it was a two months contract). I agreed only after I asked her whether or not it would stop her from actually finding me a job that meets my qualifications. She assured me that she'd not stop looking for a job in my field. She went on an emergency paternity leave and I was left with Denise. Denise is definitely the rudest person I've dealt with in a while! She made my experience beyond awful!! This place is terrible! Against the warnings of several friends, I applied through AppleOne's website. When I called to follow up the next week I got nothing but attitude from the pissy woman who was designated would 'help' me. Her name was Denise and it was VERY clear from the moment she picked up her receiver that she absolutely did not want to speak with me. Her questions about my work history and job search sounded more like she was trying to pick a fight. I would hardly finish answering her questions before she barked the next question. After telling her that I'm looking for a more challenging position than my current job offers she said in a mocking tone that they will only place contract employees in comparable positions and within the same field their previous positions had been (ei no possibility of growth). After asking a question she laughed and said "You aren't listening to me!" In what world is it acceptable to be such a dick for NO reason at all? You are in a service position, it is your JOB to work with people! If the whole process wasn't such a waste of time I would have asked for her manager, but the entire company is full of shit. I've used Apple One in the past when I was in my early 20's so I figured I'd give this location a shot.It was a total waste of time. While in the waiting area I was speaking to business professionals with upper managment titles which made me feel confident they had a good contracts. However, the reps were only really "stocking on applicants" and not making any effort to search for a position. They were very young and talked really fast (almost like a script)and when I asked them questions they kept dodging a response. I've learned that they ask you for alot of contact information so they can use them as leads. Therefore you come to them give them with all this free information and send you on your way without any commitment to you. Try a different location or another agency! read more

See, I was looking for admin work. Having 25yrs of admin experience (only 15 of which were detailed on my resume) should have made me a shoe-in, right? But Stacey basically told me that because I had ADVANCED that skill set into my most recent positions of manager and business owner, she wouldn't be able to place me. She could only market me on my most current experience. ??? My most current positions were also administrative! Do you know how much "admin work" goes into starting and maintaining a business? Did you read my managerial description that essentially said I was a glorified admin? No! I told her I could rearrange my resume and she said "if that's what you want to do...". Um, wow. You have no desire to even try to place me. Wow. Add to it, our 2m34sec phone call consisted of 2m30sec of her talking and 10sec of me talking over her or at her. If anyone took just a quick glance at my Yelp reviews, it may look as if I am overly generous since I have not yet given a review 2 stars and below. However, I think that I need to make clear that I do not simply give anybody 4+ stars. I'd have to have an exceptional experience to give out these 4 stars! (Or extremely traumatizing to give 2- stars!) To start off, I'd just like to say that my experience with AppleOne in Long Beach has been a very positive one so far. Prior to going in for an interview with Stacey, my representative, I was honestly pretty hesitant about going in; All the horror stories I've read here on Yelp about rude representatives that don't make you feel welcomed made me feel a bit nervous. I first came into contact with AO of Long Beach after I had submitted a couple resumes through Monster.com that would be directed to AppleOne. I figure i'd give it a shot even though I didn't have any high expectation about my submission; mostly because of my last very unhelpful experience from AppleOne of Phoenix, AZ. In Phoenix, I took quite a bit of time filling out a profile regarding my experiences, skills set, etc. I was so ready to go in for my appointment to see what AO had to offer. Next thing you know, on the morning of my appointment, a Representative calls me to tell me that there is absolutely nothing available for me. No part time. No nothing. Um, thanks? You could have told me this days before my appointment? I understand the job market is tough, but the Phoenix job market couldn't have been THAT bad. Back to AO of Long Beach. I got a call from Stacey a week after I submitted my resume and I was happy to hear that she knew of a position that is looking for somebody like me right away! The process went through very promptly: I had an interview with her to discuss my experience, skills, etc., and she had scheduled another interview for me the very next day (last Thursday)! I talked to Stacey today (Monday) and unfortunately, I didn't get that position, BUT she had already found me another position that I should be able to fill right away if the current candidate doesn't work out. So even though I haven't landed anything yet (it's been 5 days since my first meeting), I feel as if Stacey is helping me a lot with finding available job opportunities.
