He found a part that wasn't operating properly and replaced it--now my unit works so much better. Our system is only a year old. It stopped working efficiently six months ago. Running 24 hrs a day and barely heating the house in the winter or cooling this house since summer began. Our light bill was huge because of that. We also noticed that there wasn't much air volume coming from the vents nor was it very cold. We had Action Air come out two weeks ago for a basic servicing and checkup. The tech. gave it a going over and said all was working fine and that it was only a year old everything should be OK. He dismissed our problems due to the heat wave. So we set it at 81 degrees and left for a few days vacation. When we came back, the house was hot and the air was still coming through the vents at a low volume. I decided to go behind the tech. and do a little investigating myself. It turned out that the main duct had worked itself loose from the unit housing and we were cooling more of our crawl space under the house instead of inside the house. It appeared to have been this way for a long time. That fully explained why we had such a low volume of air through the vents. I cancelled the last part of our vacation fixing duct work. After re-connecting the ductwork, the air now works and is now cooling the house. I'm have no experience in HVAC but noticed right away what the problem was. Should have done it myself instead of wasting 60 or 70 dollars on Action Air or cancelling the rest of vacation to fix something a certified tech. should have caught weeks ago. Action air has been great to us. We purchased a brand new home 6 years ago and the builder was Nason. Like most builders in the area, they don't know what they're doing and the HVAC was undersized, had ducts which were impeded because they were bent too hard, and no dampers were installed. Due to all of this, our heating and air would constantly go out. We called action air who took us up into the attic, showed us exactly why was wrong, and how they'd fix it. We moved forward with the fix which wasn't cheap, but was affordable, and we haven't had an issue since. We currently use them for seasonal maintenance and they're absolutely amazing. I wouldn't recommend anyone else to service your HVAC system. read more

On this Labor Day, a special thanks goes to Action Air Conditioning Service, Inc. for their commitment to providing excellent service for a difficult install. When we got home Monday afternoon, our AC was not working. We called the office for a trouble call the next day. Tuesday morning a diagnosis of compressor failure with a price quote that made us decide to get our 17 year old unit replaced. Two hours later Gary came out, provided two options. We accepted the one that worked best for us. Thursday morning a crew showed up to set the pan in place, install the unit. It did not work. Billy and Nick worked until 6. They had to leave but technician Cam came out. There was no coolant in the unit from the manufacturer! Cam came out first thing to let us know an install crew would be out soon. Friday morning at 11:10 Billy and Nick were back at it. New unit installed, flashing put in place, Tye did final inspection and provided helpful instructions on how to help the unit work best. We had over $1800 of repairs done within six months. Then our unit broke once again and this time we were told that the previous repairs were temporary and that the unit actually needed to be replaced. Our home was built in 2010 and replacing the unit would contradict the previous technicians suggestions and repairs. We were offered no real solution and are now without heat this winter. We are genuinely concerned about the integrity of this company and do not want any other family to experience this. If you are a military please do not get taken advantage of! Go elsewhere. I had contacted Action Air on Friday 6/28 as our air conditioner was not cooling the house. They had a tech (Jordan) out within hours. Jordan had to order a new part and assured me he would be out first thing Monday morning. He was right on time at 8am. The warranty (with a different co) on our HVAC system expired last year so we were looking for a good company to utilize for maintance, repairs, etc. and Action Air is IT!!!!!! We called last fall and had a great service tech (Tony) come and service our system. He was AWESOME. We had a problem with our system today and Action Air sent Gary Turner out right away. What a GREAT tech Gary turned out to be. He is professional, friendly and explained each and every thing he did to fix our air conditioner. I will ask for Gary each and every time I need any work done on our HVAC system. Gary got our system back up and running in no time and the fee was very fair and affordable. I just had them come out to give me an estimate on a gas package unit. I thought the estimate was a little high, so after the representative left I did some investigating on my own on-line. I priced the average cost of the same unit he had quoted and then subtracted that from the price he quoted for installation. Come to find out Action Air was going to charge me over $3,000 for installation. I also talked to a neighbor who had just had Action Air come out for an estimate as well. Their house is much larger than ours and they were quoted a cost well under $2,000.00 what I was quoted, this was also for a gas package. These units cost as much as a good used car, but they will only warranty them up to 2 years max. They are very fast with estimates and will come out quickly to fix things, but for the most part are very overpriced. Buyer Beware. read more

I will absolutely use Action Air again! My AC went out, and Hiller quoted $7000 for a new unit. The repair techs at Action Air were here in 45 minutes, and repaired my unit for a few hundred dollars. They were efficient and experienced, and I would recommend them to everyone. read more

The technician and everyone I've spoken with are very easy to work with and they know their craft. However, I have been waiting for over a week for a heat pump to come in. My house is cold. I'm sick now. My pet is sick. Whoever manages their supply chain and doesn't know how to stock heat pumps during the winter needs to be fired. read more

Worst service!!! I had a technician come out to look at the AC and the guy wrongly diagnosed the problem. He said it was the thermostat so instead of paying him $300 to install and new one we did it ourselves, but it didn't fix the problem. When I called the office the lady was of no help. She insisted that the unit was fixed and the she didn't understand what I wanted. She then told me she will have the service manager call me after I asked for someone to come out again and look at my unit. I never received a call from the service manager, but the technician did come back out that night and find the actual problem. He said he would be back first thing in the morning and but the part on, which never happened. I got a call at 10am saying that they will get the part in around 2pm and will call me. They didn't call until 4pm and the part was "lost" by the courier service, and that they will get the part in tomorrow. I have spent 2 DAYS trying to get them to fix my unit and it is going to be yet another day...if they even fix it. read more

Called Action Air at 0830, first things out of there mouth for them to come out is a $65 dollar flat diagnostic fee. Which if the repairs cost MORE than $250 then they will suck up the diagnostic fee in the repair fee. Now, second thing they told me, is I must be the home owner (I actually am the home owner, but they where quite rude on the phone. Was like it was a problem that I was actually calling them. I will go else where and pay more, if I have too. I have had them come out and service my unit before. Now I remember why, I was so upset with them. They Charged me last season, $179 dollars to replace my Capacitor PRCFD405, lol, $65 diagnostic fee and a little over $100 for part and then the rest was the 15 minutes of labor. Now I did look up the part afterwards and found that it's only $10-$25 dollars. This company is a rip off and rude. Service tech wasn't rude last time, but not knowing anything about HVAC systems they will pull a fast one over you. I strongly recommend NOT using this company EVER!!!! read more
