Quality and support is not the greatest they used to offer more services for older kids until 14 no longer need the business after growing so big in the few years and want to stop services at 10 very sad they promise a different deal in the beginning when the first clinic open now they want to keep only young kids and blame insurance not cover for older kids read more

Parents who are considering the FREE assessment option at this center be clear and honest about what you are getting. If the credentialed professional was able to perform assessments in an official way, they would be performing assessments through a hospital or pediatric center. How valuable is the assessment if it requires sign off from your child's pediatrician? I'm surprised this assessment loophole persists. Ask yourself and this center if the assessment would be accepted at another ABA Center. If that were the case, there'd be a waitlist at this center simply for the assessment. read more

Beware if you don't want someone filing unfounded CPS claims on you due to your child's autism. ABC employee, Victoria Nwachukwu, (BCBA, LBA, License #: 4224, Certification Number: 1-21-52218 state of Texas), filed a CPS complaint against us pointing out our child's challenges with brushing teeth. You read it correctly - autistic sensitivity and disability was reported on us as neglect by a supposedly trained BCBA who should know better. Mind you - our child has perfect teeth despite her challenges, better teeth than many children not on the spectrum. The BCBA also made false statements about our home, including saying we don't have enough furniture which is ludicrous. CPS promptly dismissed the claim as unfounded but now we have a record of a complaint, nevertheless, and went through an extremely distressing experience. With this review we want people to know what happened to us and make them aware what may happen when they let ABC employees into their homes. To our knowledge, the BCBA who filed this report on us - Victoria Nwachukwu, BCBA, still works for them. It appears to us ABC has people who have no business working in other people's homes or working with autistic children, people who have very poor judgment, lack basic compassion and knowledge of the challenges that parents of autistic children already face daily and discriminate like this based on a disability. Our child has been seeing professionals for many years, including in our home and nobody has ever made such appalling claims about us until we went to this company. Other ABC employees who worked with our child and were in our home multiple times after this incident didn't report concerns. When we asked their clinic manager - Kayla to share the names of the people (BCBA) who evaluated our child she kept ignoring our request, like she did not see it. I also emailed another employee with the same request - she ignored it as well. We thought we had a right to know who comes to our home from a professional organization and this was such a strange experience. Finally, when we were able to escalate out concerns internally, ABC, while saying that they take parent's concerns seriously did not show that they have done much at all to address the problems. They had no comment for why a trained BCBA interpret and report aversion to teeth brushing to a CPS. They seemed nonchalant about their employees interpreting manifestation of a disability as parental neglect and as far as we know have done nothing so far to discourage such actions. Think carefully if you have an autistic child. You may be next receiving a visit from CPS! read more

I had a great experience with an autism assessment through them but please beware that some ABA centers do not agree with this as a "diagnosis" even if your pediatrician signs off on it. I keep running into the same issue now and am kind of back to square 1. Having to get him now diagnosed by a developmental pediatrician a whole year later. Just do your research! read more

I'm pretty sure this place does great as the reviews say so. I'm not okay with my 2 year old daughter being alone with strangers that I don't know... without cameras and I can't pop in whenever I chose to check on her. I think you should definitely invest in cameras as some of the children may be nonverbal... this could possible save your business/parents from any accusations in the future. Save a lot of heartache. Our little boy has been at the new Pond Springs location since September, right after they opened. He is making great progress! The staff at this location is wonderful, and I feel like our son is very well cared for. They are genuinely excited when he achieves milestones, and will send me updates during the day if something significant happens. I love the random videos and pictures I receive, and reading in his daily journal from each of his therapists. Most of all, I love that my son LOVES to go to his "school"! Prior to Action Behavior, my child was at a different center for a year with almost no progress. He didn't like going to therapy and would get upset everytime he went, which should've been a red flag for us to switch therapy centers sooner. He's been at Action Behavior for a few months now and we're so amazed at the progress he's made in such a short time! He's continually making progress, mastering his goals & is 'here', not lost in space like before. He's so happy and excited going to therapy everyday and has paired so well with all his therapists, who have so much passion for what they do and truely care about the children. We are so very lucky and blessed to have found Action Behavior Center for our child and cannot thank them enough for everything they do. The ENTIRE staff is absolutely amazing and make you feel like family right from the start. They are very knowledgeable about ABA therapy, there are no questions left unanswered & they work directly with your insurance companies which is one less headache for the parents. ABC is a spacious yet cozy center for providing therapy to kids with autism. I thought the facility was nice and was impressed by how much open space there was, especially the large lunchroom and jungle gym areas. The staff I met were very nice and answered many questions I had about autism and ABA therapy and how the diagnostic assessment process works. I could tell that the therapists had a passion for what they do and knew a lot about the field. With their success in building other businesses before, I believe Ryan and Holly bring a fresh perspective to this community in need by providing quality and consistent services to families. I will start by saying that I agree wholeheartedly with the first review. Do not be swooned by the superficial beauty of this place, or the few children that have been positively affected by it. If you understand ABA, you know it's repetition. Anyone, on the Autism Spectrum or not, will pick up skills if they are practically forced to perform them for 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week total. They will immediately regress once they stop going, trust me. Some of the therapists can't even answer simple questions when asked. Not to mention the arrogance of the founders, and the so-called "board certified behavior analysts" - most of which have online master's degrees (no seriously, ask for their credentials). And these are the same people that run a "diagnostic assessment" of your child. A quick google search and you will find that ASDs cannot be "diagnosed" with one simple assessment (Action Behavior uses the ADOS). ASDs are super complex disorders that could involve other neurological or genetic problems, and a comprehensive evaluation should entail neurologic AND genetic assessment, along with in-depth cognitive and language testing. It should be a goal for any parent that their child feel included and be able to attend mainstream school, but the owners do not care about helping your child. They are not interested in having your child there part-time, they will push for the full 40 hours regardless of what you say. The first center opened a little over a year ago, and apparently now they are nearing three facilities, total. In reality, they do not care about your child at all. They just want your insurance to pay up. The fact that the owner arrogantly responded to the first review by saying that legal actions were taken should be enough proof of just how unethically this company is being run. Parents, please do your research and if you do decide that your child needs ABA therapy, make sure you get a PROPER medical diagnosis. Go with a company that genuinely cares for your child, not one that is only after money. read more

Our family absolutely loves Action Behavior Center. My daughter has been doing ABA therapy there since her autism diagnosis at 2 1/2 years old. They have been a blessing to her and my entire family. My daughter loves her therapists and enjoys her time there. I took a tour of the ABC center and the staff made me feel right at home. They really are experts in their field -- none of my questions about autism and the ABA therapy process were left unanswered! The center itself has an inviting feel and I loved all the cute decorations and toys for the kids. We brought our 18-month old who had regressed in communication only to Action Behavior Centers because it was challenging to get into get into a doctor to obtain a diagnosis in Austin. According to ABC, after about a 20-minute assessment, our 18-month old child had "severe" Autism and needed to start 40+ hours per week immediately. When we asked how he was supposed to transition from being cared for in his home to being in a clinic more hours than most people spend in an office, we were told: "He will cry for about a month and then he'll get over it." Post ABC tour, we were able to get a credentialed professional which took three visits in our home, over several hours and multiple industry standard tests. What they said was that he needed to start with 20 hours per week given his age, they did not try to "diagnose" since they are not qualified and they helped us to get the balance between professional therapy and obtaining a professional diagnosis (which we were also eventually able to get a doctor's diagnosis and, even then, only on the 3rd visit and after reviewing all the ABA reports for the first year of ABA Therapy). The end of the story is that the child in question is now 3 years old, has been DIAGNOSED mildly on the spectrum, started re-communicating in the first week of ABA Therapy, still only at about 20 hours per week, and today is ready for preschool - all because we listened to our GUT when it seemed like all ABC cared about was playing on our worst fears and maxing out billable hours - having gone through the most fearful thing in my life, I can only tell other parents I know how scary it is, but be aware that fast does not mean right in the case of Autism. Work hard to get a pediatrician involved, get a reputable ABA Therapy solution, and go ahead and make that appointment with a Pediatric Neurologist or Pediactic Behavior MD now. I know hearing you cannot get in for months will seem daunting but be aware that anybody diagnosing your child needs to spend hours and be credentialed. And the number of hours hits your child's emotions and your pocketbook very hard. read more
