I sent my son to Action Day Phelan from one to four years of age. Overall, I was very happy with the experience. Coming from another daycare where my son couldn't adjust, I was very nervous sending him to Action Day at first. He cried the first few days when I dropped him off. His teacher started to hold and talk to him as soon as I dropped him off in the morning. That really helped him to feel comfortable in his new environment and he stopped crying within the next week or so. It has been smooth ever since then. He made many good friends and developed social interaction behaviors. There have been many good memories: Christmas show, Halloween parade, July 4th parade, summer kick off, Easter egg hunt, pre-school graduation ceremony, etc. My son got a chance to perform with his classmates in front of audience during the graduation ceremony. My two children attended Action Day Phelan over the past 5 years. My son started here during the pandemic when his other day care closed suddenly. I was so grateful to have a safe, caring place to bring him while I worked. The teachers are excellent, working so hard to help students feel safe, secure, and cared for. My daughter is going to TK soon, so we have excited the program and I feel honestly sad to miss seeing the staff and friends that we've made. My son currently 18 months has been attending Action day for a little over 3 months now. I was super nervous to put him in a daycare and lost sleep over it for a bit. When I went to this campus Ms. Monique was friendly and took me into the non walking room. The teachers were all attending to the children and welcomed us. I then asked to see the toddler room which was not planned, but Miss Monique didn't hesitate and let me tour that room as well. The teachers were not expecting me, and when I walked in, they were all sitting with their group of kids for lunch and attending to all of the children. Ms. Monique was relatable by talking about her own kids attending their and she was understanding and talked me through any concerns. That day I registered him and as nervous as I was, I felt like it was going to be a good fit. The first month to two months he would cry at drop off as I left, but the teachers always attended to him and tried to distract him. I was that Mom that stayed looking in the window and he would be done crying within 30 seconds. When I would pick up he would be perfectly fine playing. Now at three months, he doesn't cry and as a matter of fact, he tells me bye-bye and goes off and plays. In the morning during drop off, he is with Ms. Alejandra, Ms. Sanju and Ms. Laura. All three of them greet us and one of them will always pick him up or go play with him when I'm leaving. They listen to all of my needs or any messages that I would like relayed to Ms. Kaitlyn. When my son sees Ms. Sanju, he immediately puts his hands up to be held which makes me feel great! Ms. Laura from the beginning has always helped me leave the classroom when he's crying by distracting him or holding him in her lap. And most recently he has been going to sit with Ms. Alejandra in the mornings now and seems happy and comfortable. Ms. Lexi, Ms. Valeria, and Ms Andrea aren't with my son but know him and always say hi and bye to him. For only attending for three months I feel like I know the whole staff and they know my son as well. It's such a comforting feeling. His main teacher is Miss Kaitlyn. I cannot say enough good things about her. On the way to school I tell my son he's going to see Miss Kaitlyn and he starts to babble in the back and laugh. She has always been very specific with how his day has gone and updates me through the app often. you can tell how much she loves him and how much he loves her. Miss Kaitlyn is always sitting on the floor with the babies and interacting with them. She's always warm and friendly and keeps the environment welcoming. There's never too much that i can request or talk to her about. She's open and willing to do what makes you most comfortable for your child. I live very far from this campus and have one that's closer to me but they didn't have openings at the time. Now, I wouldn't leave the center because of the bond he has with Ms Kaitlyn and the rest of the staff. Renee the director is friendly and dealt with my calling daily to check up for the first two weeks. Also Ms. Ashley works up front and my son always walks over to her. This review is long overdue. My LO has been attending since July 2018. She was only four months old and I was a mess. Sleep deprived and not wanting to start work just yet, I waited till the very last minute to find a daycare we loved. Thankfully we found Action Day Primary Plus Phelan. The Infant Director that signed us up no longer works at this facility. There has been a turnover in the office staff last year. Nonetheless, we still choose this Phelan location because of the great hours, flexibility & the friendly people who make up their team. My daughter has gone through different classrooms which I actually love because it is based on your child's abilities (infant, confident walkers etc.) but of course the fear of having a new caregiver who doesn't understand her is always there. Luckily each classroom is filled with loving teachers that give you feedback at the end of the day so you're never wondering how your LO did. Prior teachers are also nearby and often pop in each other's classrooms to help out if needed. Often, I find myself not wanting to run to my LO at pickup because she is fully engaged in singing or story telling. I don't want to ruin her concentration and I love how attentive she is to her teachers. That to me shows trust and seeing her calm tells me she's satisfied. I HAVE NEVER PICKED UP MY CHILD CRYING. I've also popped by randomly to see the same care given on the playground as in the classroom. The only request I would make for Phelan is to give nonprofit employees a discount on tuition. I understand bigger companies get a tuition discount and they have a great referral program also but employees at nonprofits need extra loving too. When I first toured this center for my 3 month old daughter, I was nervous to have her start anywhere but I thought the facility was very cute and decided to give this center a try. SO MUCH REGRET. Hardly had any connection with the staff. My daughters blankets and pacifiers were constantly going missing. The last straw took place when dad went to go pick up and my daughter was the only child crying and not being tended to by the staff, just left on the floor crying. When I brought up concerns to the staff, things only continued to get worse. The supervisor called me back regarding my concerns of the staff not tending to my child and I was then told that the teacher she was in the care with had been sick that week and not feeling well.... which only caused more concern because why is a sick staff caring for my infant. NO THANK YOU. Stay away from action day. On top of that, be aware of the 30 day notice. I still have to pay for a full month of No Attendance because they require a 30 day notice. The bad news first, they don't have a valet drop off for your kid. I think would be a VVIP service that I'd totally love to take advantage of when I'm running late. That being said, when I walk though the office in the morning, Mrs. C. and Ms. D. always greet my daughter with a smile and a wave. It really is a nice way to start the morning off. We first started coming here via my work's backup plan (Bright Horizons), and my then 1.5 yro loved it. We were worried about her adjusting to a 'large' daycare (we were in a smaller, more intimate daycare), even though it was just for the week, but from the first drop off, she was all smiles. We used the backup service for a few more times, and each time was awesome. Now, my daughter is clearly a genius (obviously!), so when we were ready to transition to a larger daycare, we were looking for a place that balanced a kid being a kid and cultivating the future nobelaureatte that was my daughter. We toured a few of the centers in the area, but kept coming back to how happy my daughter was in Room 7 the few times she visited. So we pulled the trigger and enrolled her. It's now been over a year and half and we couldn't be happier. She has since transitioned from toddler to pre-school and is still smiling. Sure she's gotten her share of colds and ouchies here and there, but she's gotten stronger and we are learning to not keep our princes-laureate in a glass house. We tried the potty training at home (M&Ms, stickers, you name it...), but Mrs. Shabronti and Mrs. Daisy helped her through that phase. Even though she's in the pre-school class, she still loves to see her old teachers and get a hug from them. It's nice to know that they cared so much for her, even when she's not in their class anymore. We love the activities that they provide during the summers (Camp Tiki was great this year and my daughter loved the weekly jumpy house and ice cream tuesdays) and the on site camps. We also appreciate that there is a Dance class on site; one less car trip to yet another class on the weekends. Now if they also offered swimming classes, that would be amazing. Best of all, she has lots of friends. It's great to hear about all of their adventures and fun that they get into every day. She makes art and crafts, enjoys her hot lunch (pizza on Friday's are her favorite), and just being a kid. Now if they only had a valet drop off, then I'd give 6 stars if I could! read more

Our daughter loved her time at ADPP Phelan! She was always keen to go to school and seemed very happy and comfortable there! The teachers are wonderful, the campus is well-equipped, and our toddler has learnt so much in her year attending. Our kids started at Action Day a year ago when they were 1.5 & 3.5 and we highly recommend it. Our kids go to school happy, come back with interesting stories, learn new things and make good friends. We've been extremely lucky with amazing teachers in our daughter's class - Sangeetha, Maribel and Evelyn. They each have a very different style but what's common is that they truly care about the kids and see each and every one, they bring positive energy, they're highly professional and they love what they do. Our daughter loves them and thrives in her class. Our son's class had a little more turnover which wasn't ideal (but also not too bad as he always had familiar faces and was taken good care of) but now we're extremely happy with his teacher Debra who's also loving and caring and great with the kids. My daughter has gotten sick with colds many times, and we suspected it's because of insufficient ventilation since every time when we went to the classroom, it was so stuffy. We decided to test the Carbon Dioxide level on May 16, 2018; the result was very scary. It was 1036ppm. We immediately reported to the school administrator, and Angela just kept telling us they have the sensor installed which is for Carbon Monoxide not Carbon Dioxide. I tried to explain to her the differences between CO and CO2 I learned from the middle school chemistry, but she emphasized that we can go to the city to check, and they have everything up to code. Today, on May 31, we did another test! The result was even more scary. It was 1719ppm. It's really hard to get enough air given they put 16 students + 4 teachers in one small room with all the windows and door closed. NAEYC recommends no more than 8 infants in one room, but they put 16+ students in one small room. No wonder kids get sick often. The infants are overstimulated due to the large group, and it puts stress on both teachers and kids. You can hear infants crying all the time. I talked to my medical doctor friend, and he told me that this is extremely bad for kids, because recent studies show that "Carbon dioxide levels, in particular, seemed to have a major effect. "Cognitive function scores were 15% lower for the moderate CO2 day (~945 ppm) and 50% lower on the day with CO2 concentrations around 1400 ppm than on the two Green+ days," the researchers wrote." I deeply want to say sorry to my daughter since we're the worst parents who sent her to this school. Now, we have a concern on the impact of my daughter's long term brain development due to the high concentration level of CO2. read more

We choose this school based on the good reviews. Now we learned that you will need to read the bad reviews carefully for choosing daycare for your kid. I'm very sad, deeply sorry for choosing such a bad daycare for my kid. So, let me just put some public facts here: 1. Large classroom size, which put teachers on stress. 17 in one little room, sometimes, no room ventilation system. 2. At the beginning of this year, they got a warning. A baby was putting a staple needle into the mouth. They then have to let every parent know the issue and sign. 3. Teachers are certified but don't have any degree on child development. 4. Poor school management system. And staffs are ignorant to issues. Item 2 is an example. Another example, my kid fall and bumped his head in the morning. They call me just before I pick him to let me know. And it was very bad, I would like to get the call immediately and sent him to hospital for checking. 5. Maybe the most important one, I realized this after I changed daycare. They show no love to child. Every body there just treat it as work, which is very sad. My daughter started at Action Day Primary Plus- Phelan back in September 2018; as a first time mom it was REALLY hard for me to leave my baby with anyone else other than family. We checked out their open house over the summer and immediately felt like this was where our daughter could flourish. She immediately bonded with the staff-- Shout out to Miss Kristina, who my child adores! She looks forward to her daily interactions with the front office ladies and hanging with her peers. Although the price is on the higher end of the scale, my daughter has really thrived there. The daily interactions with peers and the staff have influenced her in boosting her social skills, her motor skills (my daughter is developmentally delayed), and the development of that sassy personality. Making the price worth it! I think it says A LOT about how your child feels about their child care when they literally LEAP out of your arms into the arms of another caretaker. It has really made the transition easier for me as a parent. I find the front desk staff friendly and VERY COMMUNICATIVE. The caretakers in the classroom feel invested in the development of my child. We had awful experience! My son went to this daycare for less than two weeks, and last day he went there, we rushed to the emergency room in the evening. My oldest son started here when he was six months old and when I toured the facility, I knew this was the place I trusted while I was at work. He is now 5 and just graduated from their Jr K program. The teachers are wonderful!!! When he was younger, he struggled with potty training, and the school was patient with him and gave us tips to try at home. As he got older, he had a few speech issues, and they worked with us and his speech therapy schedule. He has done so well and he will be continuing his journey at the Amber location for Kindergarten. Our baby Aiden has been going to this day care since May (when he was 13 months old). He is now 19 months old and he loves it here. As with any day care kids do fall sick on and off but the teachers here are very loving and caring including the front desk staff. They have lots of activities for the kids during the day, they either provide the meal for your child or you can send food and you get to know how much your child ate and how well he was during the day with a report given to you at the end of each day. We also love the fact that they have a parents night out every month which gives us a chance to go on a date or movie night. It is typically from 6pm to 11pm. Action Day Phelan Campus is a wonderful place. My daughter attends the Jr. K program and she just loves it. The teachers and staff are extremely friendly and run the school in a calm and efficient manner. Drop offs and pick ups are always extremely fluid and easy. They offer dance and other activities and having my daughter join a couple of these programs has really enabled her to make new friends and be a part of the little Action Day community. I couldn't be happier with our choice to have our son go to ADPP-Phelan. He's been there since April of this year and absolutely loves it. He nearly jumps out of my arms when we arrive in the morning and he realizes where he is! This is largely due to the teachers. They are so kind and so loving with the children. Yes, the children get sick, but I'd much rather have my son exposed to slight colds while he is young than to get major sicknesses later on because he wasn't exposed at an early age. Our son has been attending this school for over a year now. We started him off one day a week, and now he's going three days a week and LOVING it! All of his teachers (Miss Maria, Miss Ruthie, Mrs. Sarah & more) have shown such immense interest and care in him, and it shows. He comes home every day having learned something new, and it's just a joy to watch him grow with the staff at Phelan's help. The school directors (Miss Wendy and Miss Jacqueline) have been very kind to us with our busy, hectic schedules. They are always willing to help us out when needed, and are understanding about the little hiccups that life throws at you. I couldn't hope for more kind people running my child's school. I love how every staff member speaks to the children. There is no yelling, and everyone is referred to as "friends". Honestly, I work right next to another preschool/day care facility, and I can hear the "drill sergeant" (as I like to call her) constantly reprimanding the children. Discipline is good, but this woman is going a little overboard. I never hear kindness in her voice. That's why I love the people at Phelan. They most certainly discipline and command a class, but in such a kind and understanding way. It's just wonderful to drop your kid off at school and feel COMFORTABLE. I didn't think it was possible, but with ADPP Phelan, it most certainly is. AND, they have the most amazing lunch program! Good, wholeseome and healthy meals that I know my son loves. Sometimes I'm tempted to come back during the day and eat the hot lunches from Michelle's Luncheon! My son USUALLY eats every bite, which I can't say the same for at home. :) All in all, I wouldn't want him going to any other school. I highly recommend ADPP Phelan to any parent wanting a safe place where they can really feel comfortable sending their child/children. We started our son in the infant room here at 3.5 months old, and we couldn't be happier with the quality of care! Our son's primary caregiver is Ms. Soo, and she is incredibly sweet, intuitive, communicative, and on top of things. When Ms. Soo is out for the day or on break, we are also completely satisfied with our son's care from substitute teachers or the other primary caregivers in his room. We love the daily care worksheet we receive at the end of every day with precise information on when he ate, slept, had diaper changes, and what kinds of fun activities he did, like tummy time, playing with friends, storytime, or going on buggy rides. Ms. Soo and the other teachers are not only highly skilled at general infant care, but they take it a step further by facilitating other stimulating and developmentally appropriate activities for the babies. The administrative staff are friendly, professional, and timely in their responses. We also love the fact that the facility is fully gated, secured, and locked with a private pin code. The only cons I could mention are that our son has gotten sick with colds a couple times, but this kind of germ exposure is expected at any daycare. There is also a higher pricetag that comes with this facility over other daycare options, but Action Day has completely put our minds at ease while we're at work during the day. We put both daughters here as back up care through my work. One is 2 years old and the other is 6 months. They are in two different classrooms. When the youngest one is out on her walk with her classmates, the teacher says she gets super excited when she sees her sister on the playground. The older classroom was very accommodating with getting our eldest adjusted. The kids were always very happy and smiling and love to see the daycare teachers in the morning. I'm a mother of 3. This daycare was the worst daycare I've seen. I'm sorry that it took me a while to write this review because my 2 y.old, 3rd child, went there only for 6 weeks but to recover her from the trauma they caused took months. She was super excited to go to the day care and was happy when we dropped her there. I expected a warm welcome from the teachers and a "hi! we're your new teachers and these are your friends" as we've experience with my older kids in other daycares but instead we got "Oh, why are you here?". "It is our first day". "OK" -the teacher takes a dirty bin turns it upside down blows inside it to clear dust and says "Put her clothes here and leave her there". That was the first red flag. Everyday, I was picking her up from another class so there was no way to talk to her teachers to ask how she did. I called them. They said she gave them hard time changing her diaper. I said "well she does not know you. there has not been any introduction, she might be scared. Tomorrow morning, I should tell her you are her teachers not strangers". She said "no need for introduction just tell her to be nice to us". One teacher from next door class said her heart bled out for her because she cried non-stop all day. I thought it was because she was adjusting but she began getting aggressive at home. She was hitting us and biting us for no reason. She was angry with us. They were forcing her to lay on her mat during the nap time for hours although the law says "they need to provide a rest area but they cannot force the kids to nap" because they were short-staffed. I decided to stay there for a while an observe. One day, I observed that they forgot a little boy on the potty. The little boy could not pull his pants and I happen to be inside the room as I was filling up my daughters daily. He asked for help. I went to see the teachers heading out. She said "All the kids are here. There is no one left in the potty". I was like "yes, there is!". I shared this with the management and of course, nothing happened. During the play time, kids were hitting each other but teachers only noticed when someone cried because there were over 20 kids and 2 teachers. One of them was constantly changing diapers in diaper room. The other one was just sitting and preparing art activities or lunch or mats of the kids. She was throwing the food in front of them and not even checking if they did eat or not. If not, just throw it in the trash. Outside play equipment was wet at times, no one checked. The teachers were chatting while kids played wildly in the sand and got all wet sliding from a wet slide. The best part was the art hour. It was half an hour but was like this: While kids are at circle time, the teacher calls their name one by one and she puts paint on the kid's foot or hand and presses it on a paper cup and cleans them. Done! Next one. Kids do not even do any art themselves. My kids became more and more aggressive and unhappy, she stopped talking and eating. Finally we took her out but they said it was her who had issues. I am very very sorry that I put my kid in this day care even for a brief period. I agree with other reviewers. They do not have any affection or love towards the children. It is more like a child park rather than daycare. Maybe it is because the teachers are overwhelmed as they paid the same regardless of the number of children in the class while management keep taking more kids to make more money increasing the ratio. The best preschool in Santa Clara. My son flourished while he was there. The directors and teachers are all so friendly and great with my kid. He learned so much and loved the friends he made there. Also, the diversity level is through the roof. I loved that my son went to school with kids of all backgrounds. Unfortunately we had to move out of the area and to LA so we couldn't stay. This review is long overdue. What a terrific school! My son attended Junior Kindergarten last year with Ms. Uma and Ms. Mithali. His teachers were fantastic and the administration (Jacqueline, Angela and Melissa) is A+. It is the complete package. The school excels at building a well-rounded child by emphasizing both learning and playing. There is an appropriate mix of learning and playing, and play is oftentimes geared toward learning. As a result, he now has a terrific grasp of academic fundamentals, an ability to interact effortlessly with kids and adults, excellent emotional maturity, language fluency, and first rate reasoning skills. Each day built on the last with each day showing new and unique progress in another facet of his person. By the end of the year, my wife and I were both amazed at the outcome, and could not have been more pleased. On a positive note, this ADPP location is probably the best I've visited. And the center director, Jacqueline, is very warm and genuine and helpful. I hate to write a poor review, especially since I have friends that send their kids here and they love it. But wanted to note the differences I saw here versus at Bright Horizons. I looked into this campus for my infant but was deterred by the tuition. It's pretty comparable to Bright Horizons, so if you are comparing to them then it's pretty even. We ended up sending our son to a home daycare, which was about 2/3 of the cost for either facility. My company has back-up daycare serviced mainly by Bright Horizons, but gives you an option to select ADPP. I chose the Phelan location for my preschool son's spring break, since it had such good reviews from my two friends. Day 1 and 2 he seemed fine. I did notice that when I dropped off, sometimes the kids were not in their designated rooms and combined with other classrooms or were outside playing. When I picked up, I noticed he was almost always in a corner playing by himself, while the rest were in circle time. I thought this was weird, since my son is never that anti-social. The pickup process was also confusing, as they moved them to a different room but left his belongings in the same room. And when I asked the teachers questions about his day (i.e.: did he sleep), they didn't seem to have answers. It was never clear to me who exactly was watching him during the day since the teachers were different from drop off, to in-classroom, to pickup. Anyway, but day 4 - he was asking us not to go back there. Day 5 he screamed for us not to leave him there. When I asked him why he didn't like the school, he mentioned someone kicked him, and then alluded to not liking the teachers. I thought it might have had something to do with adjusting to a new environment, etc, so waited to post this review until we sent him to Bright Horizons Los Gatos for his summer break from preschool. Our experience with him at Bright Horizons was absolutely the opposite of his experience at ADPP. The day before going back to his standard preschool, he begged for us to let him go back to Bright Horizons! He talks about how much he likes the teachers and his new friends. Anyway, wanted to share our experience. Will probably stick to BH from now on for any backup care we need. read more

My son started here when he was only 4 months old. My husband and I toured so many places and concludes that this place was best for my child due to the environment and the teachers. He started out Room 1 with Ms. Soo, whom I trusted so much as he was my first child. Under her care and Ms. Sophie, my son had the best infant care. Then of course Room 2 with Ms. Laura and Ms. Christina!! My son still tries to sneak into Room 2 even though he is in Room 4. Ms. Laura, Ms. Christina and Ms. Amy loved my son as their child and gave me a progress report literally everyday I picked him up such as what he did and what he liked. Then being in Room 3 with Ms. Jocelyn and Ms. Sarah, he was now a toddler! :) They have a monthly parents night out which gives us some free time to have nice dinner or watch move on Fridays. I had few problems but the directors, Ms. Jacqueline and Ms. Melissa were very prompt with any concerns I had and also you can always tell that they truly love what they do!! Ms. Angela and Ms. Evelyn also are terrific!!! We now need to move my son out of Action Day which we didnt want to but now have to due to our move.. but this place will be my backup for my son and def for my next child! I'm reviewing the day care/pre-school part, which we used for about 2 years. I've had 5 star experiences and 1 star experiences here, hence the 3 star review. This location is at the old Phelan Elementary School site, so it's secluded. They share the campus with MACC Preschool. This place was great for us because they were very flexible with schedules and because they are open most of the year. My eldest son loved his teacher; she was really interactive and caring. They made potty training a cinch with both boys! The major downside with this place is that the kids seem to get sick quite often. Also, both boys were bitten and scratched (one of them still sports a scar). The facilities also seem outdated, but they do a good job of making it look nice. read more

we had our daughter in Phelan schools off of Saratoga from 8 weeks until we moved to NM this last November (she was 13 months then) - this is our only child so we were willing to pay whatever and drive wherever to get her the best possible care - I really believe this place delivered, we had two caretakers that really stood out- Miss Mima and Miss Laura. Every time I came to pick her up she was happy and being held or played with. They gave detailed daily reports on what she ate, her nap schedule, things she enjoyed playing with, foods she liked and disliked, etc. They had music time, art projects, walks around the campus, and went all the way up to preschool so we could have kept her there if we wanted to- it was worth the extra drive, we looked at over ten options and decided the home care was too TV-centric and the smaller places didn't have the resources to do the extra and fun things like the annual picnic/BBQ, picture day, etc. They had a detailed emergency plan for earthquakes and communicated often with us on parent's night out babysitting events as well as other activities that we might be interested in participating in. I highly recommend this place and even though it was on the higher end of the scale financially I feel it was well worth our money to know that she was with people all day who genuinely loved her. I LOVE Action Day. This is the second location my children have attended. The other location was really good also, but this one tops the charts! Here's why: All the staff (literally) are warm, caring and personable. I have made a personal connection with every person I have come into contact with at this location and I am not talking about just the teachers and staff. The parents here are wonderful engaging group of people. No one is every too busy, or in too big of a rush to say hello or help you out. I have never seen anyone pass the "buck" so to speak simply because what was asked of them was not their "job". Needless, to say my daughter absolutely loves this place. She loves her teachers, the office staff including the director! When we drive into the parking lot she scretches with excitment every day. I am not exaggerating. If you don't believe me just go take a tour! Also, it is conveniently located right off 280...can it get better? read more

We just registered here. Our child is yet to be born ;) so will update the review once the baby starts going there. All I can say is I loved meeting Ms. Melissa in the office and Ms. Soo and Sophy in the infant room. It's mostly because how comfortable we felt with them that we registered here. We toured at least 20 day care centers including the other Action day centers. The people here made us very comfortable, answered our questions patiently (its nerve wrecking to think of leaving your baby with someone else) and seems like they were taking really good care of the infants. Also, the infant room was very clean and looked safe for the infants to crawl. The facilities are nice and they seem to cater to any special needs if you don't want to use their diaper wipes etc. The two things that I would change are 1. They wipe the diaper changing station with bleach and then put the baby on that. I wish they put the disposable paper before they place the kid. Child's body should not be in touch with a table wiped with bleach. But they promised they will put a disposable paper for our baby if we provided it. I am happy to provide that. 2. Their playgrounds aren't the soft grounds. Even city of Santa clara public play areas are now the soft grounds with that rubbery material and no mulch since little kids eat everything they get their hands on. I am hoping they will change that by the time our baby is ready to walk ;) However, nothing surpasses loving teachers and a safe environment where they will take care of your baby. I am hoping our baby loves it as much as we do !! We are looking forward to sending our baby to Action day at Phelan campus. read more

My both kids are attending this school for about 3 years now, and I couldn't be happier. The staff is amazing from the front office to the teachers and the assistants. A great professional team, very helpful . I drive everyday from north east Santa Clara to south San Jose ( Saratoga) and it's worth it. I feel very confident with a peace of mind leaving my kids there. They have a very convenient parking, I have a big concern about the parking because Safety is a big issue with the kids, especially when they get out of school , I think you agree with me on that point. my kids are very excited when I pick them up and even though they are tired they run all over the place, so having a big closed parking keeps my child safe. If you are looking for a school that have a very flexible hours , this is the best place, you can drop your kid whenever you want from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm . The office has a code by the entrance so safety wise , I can rate this school 6 stars. The hot lunch is my favorite part, so everyday they have a very healthy meal to serve for the kids, and the best is that you have the option to choose either hot lunch or you pack a lunch box for your kids, and on those days when you are tired and you don't want to prepare it for your kids, don't worry Michelle luncheon will take care of it. Most of the teachers are Moms ,so you don't feel like you are dropping your kids with just employees at a private school but you feel like you are leaving them with their second mom, and that's true I call my kids teachers their second mom, in fact my older son calls me from time to time with his teacher's name. Now let's talk a little bit about potty training, My second son just turn 3 recently, and since he was 2 I tried to get him out of diapers, and guess who helped me with that , his teacher at Action day , she does the most job for me, teaching him how to get his clothes up and down, how to wipe, I mean everything. As I said above, the team is awesome and with a lot of experience.in fact I referred 3 of my friends and they are very grateful that I make them know this place, and their kids are eager to go to school everyday. I left the best for the end, usually when we talk about private schools we never know or meet the owner, sometimes it's just name on the official paper. But this is not what happen at Action Day, the owner is at the head of the Administration, and I met her so many times, and she is awesome, very humble, down to earth,she makes you feel like you are part of her Big Family, yes that's the truth, and I feel that way. Our little guy has been going to ADPP/Phelan for over two years now. Seeing the smile on his face when we drop him off or pick him up, tells me, it was the right decision in choosing ADPP/Phelan. The staff in the office is wonderful and accommodating to our every requests. The staff/teachers are amazing with our son. He looks forward to going to "school" and all the extra classes they offer, Cooking Class, Fairytale Class and Tumbling Class to name a few. We look forward to the stages ahead and ADPP. read more
