I can't imagine going in to pick up my kids with horrible customer service. You would think the people who work there would be extra friendly and nice since they work with the kids. Having the new director Melody doesn't do justice for this place. She just sits around on the floor in the classrooms not acknowledging the parents who come in and out. My daughter has been going to this school since she was 15 months old and the teachers here have really made a big impact on her growth and development. She's had a couple of teachers but Ms. Cynthia, Ms. Jane and Ms. Alyssa have been her favorites and they continue to provide care at this center. My baby went there for 3.5months. Since the age of 18months. He fell on stairs at day two. See attached photo. No phone call was made, just a note in their app about the accident. The note was written in a way that he kept going to the stairs. Guess what, babies do that. One person said he was crawling up, but he has bumps and it doesn't look like crawling. Another one said he was going down. Basically they don't know what really happen. My baby cried for 3.5 months at every drop off. Correction; at first, he cried as soon as we turned in to the parking lot. Later, he started crying from home. They said some babies do that. One day I saw my baby in their backyard from outside, sitting alone for more than 10minutes. Looked like he was crying loud, teachers were around but no one had the courtesy to comfort him, sit next to him, lift him up or walk with him. That was the last day he went there. Every day we picked him up and it looked like he had cried a lot. He was thirsty, hungry and multiple times, he had bowel movement but no one checked before giving him to us, so he came with dirty diaper. I really appreciated the app and all nice pictures and movies, but now I feel all those pictures and movies were pretentious. Also they didn't reply to many of my emails that I sent as a concerned parent. That's a red flag. We took him out and put him in different daycare. Guess what, after exactly two weeks, no more crying at the drop offs. He comes home as a new person, happy and excited. So it turns out our baby can adjust as long as he gets the treatment he deserves. I'm just so sad we didn't move him earlier. Don't let anyone tell you some babies have harder time. Babies are excellent at adjusting as long as they are treated well. Some children are more relaxed and don't care, but some do. read more

This is a very positive review for the toddler class (room 7). My son was enrolled there from 18 month till two years old. The teachers and staff are really nice and caring. My son has been happy everyday going there. He also learned quite a few things there, from taking nice nap on his own, playing nicely with other kids to knowing a few colors, letters and numbers. I use to work in an infant center and my youngest was in my class. Leaving and coming to KinderCare I had extreme anxiety but room 7 really helped with the transition. My son quickly attached himself to his primary, Ms.Cynthia. They were bonded! Her communication with me was amazing and when she wasn't there, the rest of the teachers, especially Ms.Alissa stepped in. I felt so at peace and really tried to keep him in there when he aged up lol. But they really helped prepare him for the next class and have a huge part in his development today. This place is losing all of their teachers and all because of their poor management skills now the ratio of teachers to kids is absolutely ridiculous. You pay for your kids to be well taken care of, well I don't know how they would do that now that they have 2 teachers and 18 kids (toddlers). Really great staff who are making extreme efforts to keep all kids and staff clean and safe. Drop off and pick up are outside, daily temperature checks, all lunches and snacks provided on site, and toys that can't be sanitized are removed from classrooms. The center has complied really well to county guidance and is continuing to maintain high standards. Our daughter has been going for over a year and really enjoys her classroom and teachers. I highly recommend this center. I love the director (Gina) and assistant director (Lauren). They both work so well with the kids. During the pandemic they made sure to follow protocol and made sure our kids were safe. Along with all the teachers are so caring. I would be devastated if Gina and/or Lauren left. Honestly, I would probably pull my child out. Since they took over I've seen a great improvement on how the center is ran and maintained. The cleanliness is great. Can't express in words how amazing this staff is. They've been so professional, considerate and helpful , especially now during the current Coronavirus challenging time.. The director Ms. Gina and all crew have been working so hard with a constant smile, making everyone around them feel positive and happy. Sanitation and safety are maintained with very high standards. I've had both of my kids there for over 2 years now. My eldest son graduated TK room with Ms. Lauri a year ago. He was super happy and and was above ready when he started kindergarten, so much thanks to ms. Lauri's dedication and wonderful teaching. My younger boy is attending the toddler room with Ms. Angelica and Ms. Cynthia who are both amazing. Nonstop dedication, patience and learning, art and fun. They've been sending us so much information about the curriculum, photos and videos, which make us feel so close and on top of everything concerning our child well being and academic progress. A lot of motor skills, art and fun and also one on one sessions with the kids to work on their academic skills and help them progress and feel special. We've been driving over 15 mins each way, everyday to get to the facility from Willow Glen, which hasn't been so easy especially during times of heavy traffic, but I can't see my kid going to any different place than this. Long version :) My daughter started going to Santa Clara KC when she was 5 months old and is leaving now, at the age of almost 5 to go to public school. These almost 5 years were the happiest possible. Since she was a baby she was always very happy to go to school, to see her friends and teachers. The school is very clean and organized. I love the fact that they have a pretty big backyard for the kids to play too. The teachers are caring and full of love for the kids. My daughter's teachers were Miss Rachel, Miss Angelica, Miss Maria, Miss Jessica, Miss Brenda and Miss Lauri and I only have amazing things to say about these fantastic ladies! The administrative staff is remarkable: Miss Gina, Miss Lauren, Miss Rhonda and Miss Marcella. They are always there for us, open to feedback, I feel like I can count on them for anything, like a second family. The way they handled the pandemic was amazing, I never had any concern and trusted them with my daughter's care. And they were one of the only, if not the only center, that didn't have any case so far. My daugther is leaving now excited about learning new things, reading, doing math and making new friends. For me it will be bittersweet to say goodbye but seeing the way my daugther is ready for her new challenge I feel like KC has prepared her extremely well for her "big girl school". My children have been enrolled here for a number of years now (3 total) and I am consistently surprised at the level of development the my children undergo with the centers staff. At the very least, on a weekly basis, my kids learn new social skills, songs, games, language phrases, and STEM knowledge. Suffice it to say that the staff is completely invested in my children. Apparently due to covid tours are not offered anymore. I'm honestly asking how do you expect parents to just trust you? AMAZING! EXPECTATIONS EXCEEDED! My son has been with KinderCare since he was 3 months old. He is 19 months old now and this is the 3rd KinderCare he has been to. Keep in mind that they all operate differently. A bad experience in one (or two) does not mean they're all terrible. This specific center went above and beyond my expectations. I saw all the positive reviews for this location, so I decided to give KinderCare one last chance. My son has been here for 6 months. His teachers Ms. Luvia, Ms. Leticia, and Ms. Guitar are so wonderful. In the little time he spent with them, he has learned so much. They aren't just "babysitters". They actually teach the children. I'm so amazed at how much my son has learned. He's been learning how to speak, does sign language, is learning his shapes, colors, alphabet, and numbers. He knows how to properly hold and use crayons and pencils. He's learning how to become independent. My husband and I have seen so much growth in him. My son has also grown to love them. They treat him like their own. He doesn't even care when I leave the classroom anymore. When I have to drop him off early in the morning in the infant room, Ms. Espi is always so kind. She knows how to comfort him when he's upset. He's very fond of her. She knows just what he needs to calm him down, especially when he's hysterical. Everyone is so warm and welcoming! The office staff has been supportive during our transition from 2 other KinderCare locations. 3rd time is definitely the charm!!! They know every single child's name in the building. They are so personable. It's just amazing how you can feel the positivity when walking through those doors and you are always greeted. If you ever have a concern, they listen and address it accordingly. They care so much about the children, their families, and the teachers... and it shows. They treat you like family here. We love Santa Clara KinderCare! We transferred from the San Mateo location to the Santa Clara one when my daughter was about 20 months old. We moved our daughter out of Kindercare just about when she was 2.6 and this was due to our school plans going forward. If I could change my decision for longterm I definitely would. This center is amazing! The staff is prompt and courteous, and the teachers ...... simply amazing! They LOVE your child, its not just a transaction. We have had our son at kindercare Santa Clara for about 10 months. Our son is almost two and he has had a great time here. Reading other parents reviews I will have to admit that the start was very challenging - we only received a video tour, due to the pandemic, and were only allowed on his first day to come in and drop him inside. I was really upset about this - it was a new place, as a parent you have no idea what the location really looks like inside and to just drop off your child at the door - I found that really challenging and other daycare centers did not do the same despite the pandemic parents were allowed to tour and do a proper transition. So there is definitely things to improve here. However once our son adjusted he started having a great time. The teachers are very nice and are always giving an update. I love the updates through the app too and also I noticed our son has really learned a lot since his start. We feel so fortunate we found KinderCare Santa Clara! We love the wonderful teachers and staff there. Our daughter started going at 3 months old in the infant room and while it was tough to leave her so young (back to work!), we felt comfortable quickly because we knew she was getting such good care. The teachers are so caring and all updates about how the day is going are available in the KinderCare app, which is so convenient. Special shout out to the infant care class team - Ms. Rachel, Ms. Espi, Ms. Adlin & Ms. Marcella - they really treat your child like one of their own and it's wonderful to see. Our daughter still waves to them all when she leaves for the day and that shows the impact they had on her. When covid hit, we stopped taking our daughter until we felt comfortable taking her again, and with the safety and cleaning protocol they have it place, it was a smooth transition back. Our daughter has been enrolled at KinderCare Santa Clara for the past year, and we love it! She started in the Toddler room at 20 months, and is now in the older Twos room at 2 1/2. The initial transition from home to daycare was difficult at first, but the teachers were very patient and did their best to make our little girl (and Mommy and Daddy) as comfortable as possible. I was encouraged to bring her to the center to play a couple of times before leaving her on her own. I really liked that the outdoor play areas are attached to the classrooms. No walking through hallways our down sidewalks to go play! We were (and still are) able to drop-in and check on her anytime, which was helpful for all of us as well. It didn't take long for her to adjust and thrive with her little buddies in the classroom. Now as a two year old, our daughter is as happy as ever. She comes home singing new songs, counting, naming letters, talking about bugs, or whatever else she may have learned that day. I honestly think she learns more being at KinderCare than she would if I were home with her full time! She is also fully potty-trained, and the teachers have been very helpful and supportive throughout the process. The classrooms even have adjacent bathrooms with kid-sized toilets and sinks to make it that much easier. The administrators and staff are friendly and cheerful. We are encouraged to ask questions, and the teachers are very good about communicating any issues that may have arisen during the day. I could go on... My son has been with Kindercare for 5 years, and 3 of those years were here at this location. I have toured other centers and other daycares, nothing compares to the quality of care like Kindercare. I only have one child. I am "that" mother that is overprotective and have high expectations when it comes to care. This Kindercare always meets and exceeds my expectations. The staff is very caring. I love them all. My son is currently in the Kindergarten program with Ms. Michelle. She is very warm, nurturing and actually listens to the children. The ration is 1 to 12. You can't beat that. I have no choice but to change my review to a 1 star. I wrote a 5 star review four years ago, after my son had been at the Santa Clara center for over a year. At that point in time my husband and I had nothing but praise for the staff and administration who were leading this center. This love and appreciation for kindercare Santa Clara continued until a few months ago.The regional director, Jen, has come in these past few months and made drastic changes to the leadership at the center. Thee changes have caused half the staff and a large number of families to leave. Jen removed the prior director, brought in a new director who has no prior director experience, but is willing to be a yes man. This sudden change caused years and years of experienced and loved staff members to leave for jobs where they will be led by people they respect and who respect them. To add to it, the center has been dealing with a leaking roof that during one of the last rain storms caused it to literally rain in every classroom (and led to the center being abruptly closed for an entire week!). Although they have been working on fixing the roof, I worry deeply about the mold that is sure to have developed due to the amount of moisture getting into the building and spreading. It saddens me to see a place that we loved so much be run into the ground by poor leadership and a lack of experience from those now at the center. Although I still need childcare for another few years, my husband and I have chosen to move our daughter to another center that has better maintained facilities, experienced staff, and strong leadership. Kindercare is one of the most expensive childcare places around. You used to get what you pay for. You don't anymore. Now what you pay for gives your child the chance of mold exposure, the likelihood that your child will be moved from classroom to classroom due to child to teacher ratios not being met (because of the large number of staff members who have left), and a leader both in the building and for the region that are choosing to run a childcare center that is more focused on making money than it is the wellbeing of the children who attend. read more
