Had the absolute pleasure to stumble on this gym on a recent roadtrip. It's awesome having a clean, modern, and well equipped gym available 24 hours a day. I love how welcoming and well informed their staff are and the availability of different machines and weights. After checking out some of the social media and website of the gym, it was also really cool to see how they are really aiming to uplift and give back to the community. DO NOT BE DECEIVED. THIS IS NOT A 24 HOUR GYM. I had gone in and purchased a $15 day pass just to be told that I was not able to stay past 9PM! The 24 hour perk is only for their highest tier membership that cost $70/month and other than that all other memberships and all day passes have extremely limited hours that are not properly listed on their google page. I rarely leave reviews but am absolutely enraged to have waisted my time coming all the way out to riverbank just to be completely chopped at the knees mid workout. read more

This place is an incredible find. Action Fitness offers everything you need to get strong and build muscle. People here are respectful, the space and weights are kept very orderly (by the gym-goers themselves!), and there is a ton of inspiration all along the walls. Folks are friendly and willing to help you figure a machine/exercise out, but also unobtrusive and everyone does their own thing. It's also great that they have trainers on site, because you're able to get professional support right there. The front desk staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I had been looking into going to the gym again after years of discomfort from prior experience and working out at home. A friend of mine had recommended Action Fitness to me due to her experience - feeling safe, enjoying a clean environment, and flexible hours (with a certain membership). After a lot of thought, I took the plunge about two months ago, and since then, I've been nothing but happy about my gym experience here. The staff is incredibly helpful and understanding, the equipment is clean and maintained, there is a variety of people that go (not just men but women too and people of different ages), and I would say that their memberships are pretty reasonably priced compared to others I've seen. I also have worked with their personal trainer, Junior, who has been nothing short of helpful, understanding, and motivating for me - someone who hasn't really enjoyed the gym or regularly worked out up until now. He has explained different ways to use the machines and enhance different exercises, which has been a huge part of motivation for me to continue going. I highly recommend working with him if you are trying to figure out how to best utilize your membership and focus on your fitness goals. Other than that, I have felt safe at the facility both during operating hours and outside of them. Everyone tends to do their own thing and respects each others' space. Another thing is that their classes are quite enjoyable with the smaller class sizes and fun instructors (Shoutout to Andy and Haley for making their classes enjoyable). Action Fitness has everything you could ask for in a gym. I previously went to In-Shape but I made the switch! Great equipment, 24/7 access, friendly staff and a motivating atmosphere. I had no idea what to expect but when I walked in I was greeted by Jeremy who I learned was the manager and he took the time to show me around and give me a tour. The gym the cleanest gym I've been to and had all the equipment I was looking for. Jeremy then explained to me all of the different membership plans and classes that members can take advantage of. I signed up for the elite which is their 24 hour membership and included their bootcamp classes. Love employees, they'reare very kind and always greet me when I walk in. Action Fitness in Riverbank is easily the best gym I've been to. There's never any issues with equipment, it's always well maintained and they're on top of it when it comes to cleanliness. They offer different classes, a sauna and a variation of cardio equipment that I enjoy if I ever wanna switch it up from the treadmill. When it comes to billing, most gyms leave you frustrated but AF has no hidden fees and have always been transparent. I have been to a lot of gyms, and this one is definitely one of the cleanest. Everyone has great gym etiquette and they wipe down their machines after using it. The floors are well kept and the bathrooms are clean. The staff really cares about keeping the place in good shape. It never feels too crowded or messy, which makes a huge difference. read more

Out of all the gyms I've tried and visited over the years, this is by far the cleanest gym. The equipment is always clean, the gym doesn't smell like "gym", and the staff always make me feel so welcome. The members here feel like a community and there are people of all fitness levels, ages, and genders. I never feel uncomfortable or out of place here. I've tried the yoga and Bootcamp classes and have enjoyed them both and felt like they were challenging. They have a grand opening sign in front to show they recently switched owners and did a rebrand since it used to be Fit Republic. They've done a ton of new upgrades to the place, gotten new equipment, and added more amenities like an infrared sauna. The new owners are super nice and you can tell that they pour their hearts into the gym to make it what it is. read more

This gym is the best one in Riverbank. The parking lot is huge so if you have an oversized truck or towing a boat there is somewhere you can park. All the equipment is great and commercial quality. I am a bit of a germaphobe so something that the new ownership is doing is they have paper towels everywhere! The old ownership group did not do this. I can easily spray down the bench press or machine after I use it, there is spray bottles everywhere and with COVID you can never be too safe. Most of the people are pretty cool about wiping down their stuff after they use it and the employee that is here usually tells members to wipe down their stuff after they use it (which I appreciate). There is Hammer Strength equipment and a really nice Hammer strength rack in the back. All the pulleys are smooth, they have MAG grip pull-downs, an assault bike, and rower. All the accessory work that I love to do and can't do at home is easily available here. Another thing I like about this place is how most of the weights are racked, nobody is leaving their stuff everywhere. If you're looking for a good work out or to bring a friend for a weekend pump this is the spot (they do charge if you bring a guest however). I wish the equipment was a little more spaced out, but it's always better to have more equipment than less. read more
