I discovered this wonderful place by sheer accident! Oh, the finds were wonderful. I have so much "new" vintage glassware now packing my shelves. It's a very fun place to wander around. The prices are amazing. And the ladies who work the shop are so delightful. A new favorite spot! read more

I've been shopping at Assistance League for years! They're a definite go-to stop on any tour of Bham thrift shops. The large space includes clothing (women's, men's and children's), a HUGE housewares section, and plenty of soft goods, furniture, and books in between. When I arrive, I always check out the little board in the front which announces what's on sale for the day. Usually an entire section of the store is 50% off! Recently I bought some really cute pillows there for half price, and they really brightened up my apartment. They also have a fun sewing/crafts section which - if your'e a bit of a fabric addict like me - never disappoints. The store is run by volunteers and is very well organized. The ladies at the counter are always super helpful, and they will put a hold on larger items (like furniture) if you want to buy and pick up later. The styles aren't always the most current, but hey vintage 90's is going to be hip any day now, right?! read more

This place is AMAZING! The ladies that work here and very gracious and enjoy their work. The clothing selection is small compared to bigger stores I frequent but still good! Prices are about $3-8 on average. At the register I was impressed that they were folding my clothes. I'm used to GW stuffing things in the bags. I will definitely be back here! If you like a good thrift trip stop in, you may not find much but you'll enjoy the experience! Nice store and much larger than most AL. Some of the clothes were older styles but that makes it fun. Found an iron for $5.00 doesn't look used. Glassware a plenty and picked up juice glasses for 5.00. Will come back and donate since it helps the children in the area with school supplies and needed clothing. read more

I love the fact that the money goes back into the community, however there is something about this store that I don't like. It may be the less then friendly volunteers, the small selection, the old lady clothes (if that's your style, cool.), or the kinda high prices. I don't know which one was the trigger, but this is not a thrift store I would go out of my way to go to again. I have to say the one in Everett is pretty excellent though. read more

I love this place. Organized and clean. The women that volunteer their time here are so professional and nice. The store always feels warm and inviting. They enjoy celebrating good finds with their customers. If you happen to purchase something fragile they wrap the item so carefully. I really like going here weekly just to see what I can find. The money goes to many good causes locally. It feels good to support this organization. read more

the people really make the place. its a small store that has a hard time competing with big box thrift stores like Value Village and Goodwill, but this place is really so much more. you can tell when you walk into the store that the ladies that work there really care. its very clean, everything is well organized, and they take ordinary donations and turn them into grand displays. I love this place because I know that my money is going towards a good cause, and not a CEO's pocket. the ladies at the register always compliment my finds and fold and package everything with so much care. I always encourage my friends and colleagues to donate and shop here rather than the other big box stores. this is my favorite thrift shop in Bellingham! read more

This store is well organized, clean, well priced, and has a wonderful staff. One reviewer complained that it was geared towards seniors. Any thrift store that receives it's stock from donations can only put out what they receive. They don't order up items that seniors want. Check back daily. Always treasures to be found. read more

Very expensive for a thrift store. I spent $20 on black pants and shirt (two piece) and $10 on three small owl trinkets. I would have purchased more but it was just too expensive for me taste. read more

Awful! Junk at higher than new prices. Anything worth over $25 they write "as seen on craigslist" LOL. Who cares? It is so overpriced it has probably been seem on craigslist for a year. read more
