This huge indoor facility must have opened recently, because I would've noticed it sooner otherwise. Conveniently located just a few blocks from the heart of downtown St. Paul this place is just a short drive for me. I went on my own on a Saturday afternoon and found just a single group playing. The staff was quite helpful and quickly got me setup and a rundown of the basics, then grouped me with the rest of the paintballers. I lucked out - the whole day stayed quiet, but I was still able to meet lots of great people, from age 12 to 40. If you need to get out of the house, it's hard to beat running around a huge course, diving behind inflatable barriers and shooting a bunch of people you just met. If I had been able to enjoy the fun for a little less $$ then this would be a 5 star for sure!

My son wanted to go here for his 13th birthday party, so we drove with five other friends for their $250 package. They had a blast! They were outfitted with vests, full face masks, guns, and unlimited ammo for airsoft (basically plastic BBs). They were given a full safety briefing which was basically: don't take your mask off we don't want you to lose your eyes and keep the safety thing on the gun when you're off the field. They had a variety of games they played with them, capture the flag and I don't know what all. Jeff told me they would play a different game every 15 minutes for two hours. There were different fields they lead them to with different bunkers and things to hide under. Jeff stayed with them the whole time and gave them pointers and refilled their ammo. We had the field reserved from 1 to 3, but they didn't come ambling back till 3:15. The place I stayed at had a picnic table outside, picnic table inside the shelter, over the top of the picnic table outside was a military tarp, grill, heaters inside the shelter, and Porta potty's. The only thing I would recommend is bringing your own hand sanitizer and I was really glad I brought a jug of water to wash hands and wash the mud off. It was very muddy, don't bring pretty shoes! My map app brought me straight to the place which is basically off a dirt road into some farm's driveway, behind their house, and you keep going until you see military transport vehicles and then just park on the grass. Don't get there early like we did because there are no bathrooms or shelter. You drive in the military transport to the middle of the woods and there they have a little shelter with the guns, masks, ammo and that's where you pay at the end. They also had some food and drinks but he didn't even offer them to our kids, maybe because we had brought our own food and drinks? Overall, highly recommended, well run place. I almost wish wish the sixth guy hadn't been able to come and I would have been forced to take his place. Next time!

Also, gun owner sessions last 2 hours; in my opinion, that's not quite enough time for the number of people having to take turns playing on the one field. I love paintball and want to see the more serious players able to find fields that can provide an environment to allow players to get to that next level while still being a positive space for the newcomers. It was a goal of mine to play paintball this year and after a little research of options in the…read morearea, I picked Vintage Paintball. The experience from start to finish was almost perfect. We reserved a private party since we had 8 people. Our start time was 2:00 and one person in our group decided to arrive separately- the staff was so nice and patient while we waited for our last friend who ended up being 20+ minutes late (I was less patient). We had a ref and got our pick of the many courses in the field. We rented guns and bought paint and basically had a blast despite the fact that it was really hot out and we all sweat a lot through our masks. We had a range of experience with paint ball and with guns in general and our ref walked us through the process and showed us the ropes. I have just 3 suggestions/comments. First, it is a little unclear when signing up for the private party that the $100 you pay is not really a deposit, like it states, but is actually a registration/rental fee. I was under the impression that the $100 would go toward my rental package but was told otherwise when we arrived. That was frustrating but made sense when it was explained to me- it just needs to be clearer on the website. Second, I was disappointed that the paint was white! I thought the point of paint ball was to be colorful so that was a bummer but didn't really detract from our experience. And third, because my friend wanted me to mention this, they sell Doritos at the concession but not Cool Ranch Doritos so plan ahead. :)

Huge safety concern when a player is allowed to physically grab other players.

Nobody judges you if you're not experienced or if you don't have a fancy gun. Customer service was AMAZING. People were super awesome. It was more like a family than anything. When I went, it was biodegrade-able only but idk about other times. I definitely suggest to go here.
