An employee walked through and did nothing. If I was looking for a jungle gym for my small children, ok, but DO NOT COME HERE TO PLAY A ROUND OF MINI GOLF. You can't!

They travel to highly visible tournaments which provides a great platform for college recruiting. When summer teams were being finalized this year, they started removing all summer information from their website; which I thought was strange. Come to find out, they had recruited players from other academy's and programs (perhaps based on showcase data); almost all recruited players have never trained at Starters Sports. Personally, I think its deceptive to sell your training facility partly based on these travel teams; then turn around and recruit outside the organization. When perspective families/players come in to talk with staff about joining Starters Sports, they are loured by the outstanding track record of these summer teams, the recruitment possibilities and the college placement/scholarships. These parents are NOT told that several players on the team are recruited to play and have NOT been personally trained by the staff at Starters. These summer teams post their lineups on twitter; its about a 50/50 mix of current players and outside recruits. If these teams were 100% current Starter's attendees (regardless of my son's status); I would not have written this review; nor have any problem with their selection process.

I have been driving by this place for years and finally decided to stop in this summer. I have…read moremade a few trips back since. They have 4 cages that all do baseball, fastpitch softball, and slowpitch. Speed is anywhere from 40-70. They have the basic assortment of bats if you need to use one. I never had to wait for a cage. When there has been a jam or an issue attendants have been pretty good about fixing it right away or giving you giving you a token to move to another cage. If you go here for slowpitch you probably will have to adjust the pitch height. Everytime I have had to move it down quite a bit. For fun I hit baseballs. It's a batting cage, nothing really different than anywhere else. The low speed is 40mph, so it may be too fast for young kids. I'd recommend finding a 30 or 35mph cage for them. I see advertisements for clinics, never done one.

I saw some cute Bondi 9's. I researched Hoka website and they are a neutral shoe, but will work for overpronation, which my friend says I have. They were comfortable walking in the shoe dept. I also needed a new cover for my thrift store Stanley. I did score 20% off. What bothers me is they say they have a military discount but supposedly this store doesn't do that. Scheels offers 5% off. I'm glad I had a 20% discount for these spendy $174 shoes. Hope they are comfortable for my new side fun job this summer. I will be walking a lot and enjoying concerts.

BEWARE!!!! Horrible! went to Dick's in Burnsville to re-grip my putter it was a pretty much a brand…read morenew 2 ball putter. Brad in the golf area basically stepped on the top of the putter with his filthy shoes when he tried to Aline the new grip. There was another guy in the golf area I told him you could see the shoe prints on the top of the 2 ball putter. He tried to clean it off the best he could. There is still debris in the ball on the putter. I called to talk to the manager. Basically the employee lied and told the manager that he didn't step on the putter. The manager basically told me since I didn't buy the putter there they really couldn't do much! then said bye. I'll never go back!
