Four months ago I had rotator cuff surgery on my shoulder. My doctor referred me to Action Physical Therapy on Kimberly Lane. What a blessing it turned out to be. I can't say enough about the ENTIRE staff. Kara and Michael work the front desk and phones. They are professional yet down to earth and friendly. Very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions you may have. Somehow they know EVERYONE's name and you are greeted the minute you walk in the door. I was assigned the Clinic Director Julianna. She is absolutely unbelievable. I never dreamed I would get my arm back and 4 months later I did. Their professionalism as well as their knowledge I would pit against any other place. All the therapists in there are fantastic. I had a few when Julianna wasn't available and there was no drop off. They did exactly as she did with my treament plan. All the assistant techs are awesome as well. Gotta give a special shout out to Jim. He is a hand specialist and partner. Such a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor, and he plays great music on a boom box everyday. Very laid back atmosphere. I made many friends while here. Some were employees some were patients. Just a great place if you are in need of therapy I HIGHLY recommend them. Only way I would go any other place is if they are not on my insurance. They are ALWAYS on time, appointments are easy to schedule, and parking is always available and it's FREE! 12 weeks ago I underwent surgery to repair a 5th metacarpal fracture. Following my cast removal, I had practically no mobility and no strength in my right hand. My surgeon recommended I see Dr. Jim King. Over the past 2 months, Dr. King and the entire Action Physical Therapy staff worked diligently to help me make a full recovery. I can't thank them enough. In more detail Doctors: Dr. King's expertise and vast experience were obvious from day one. He demonstrated complete knowledge of my injury, my surgery, and my recovery timeline. My hand fracture was complicated by a previous wrist injury, which Jim was also well-versed in. Following his week to week guidance, I noticed steady improvements in my hand's mobility, strength, and general pain up until my very last appointment. Jim is personable and empathetic. He cares greatly for his patients and will go the extra mile to help them heal. It shows in his work. Facilities: Action PT seemed to have every piece of equipment necessary to treat my injury. The office is clean and well organized. Administrative Logistics: The receptionists at Action PT are professional and kind. Scheduling appointments was incredibly easy. The doctors and receptionists remedied any issues with my health insurance ahead of time. Additionally, Dr. King's assistants were friendly and trustworthy. The staff works well together. I had a torn scapholunate ligament in my right wrist caused from sports injuries Dr. Khorsandi @ (Hands Surgery Specialist of Texas) diagnosed & performed my surgery. I was very hesitant to do surgery because I am a musician & didn't want to lose my ability to play drums/bass which can sometimes be the case. Since my surgery in July I have been quickly recovering with Jim King CHT at Action Physical Therapy. My strength, range of motion, & day to day function is almost 100% back. The staff of ladies (Kara & Adika) at the front are always very pleasant & helpful. I have never had a mixed up in schedule or bogus payment conflict. While off from work my disability paperwork was filled out and faxed in on time. That is exceptional service that keeps my stress level down. I usually have issues with my job & medical records getting in on time but not here. Everything about this place is terrific from Dr. King's years of knowledge & expertise to his calming cool demeanor, music, & free candy. Action Physical Therapy is the best! While I personally spent two months working with Julianna, the director of PT, other DPT's and techs like Fern, Yulie, Julio and many others including Michael in the front office and the ladies that work the front desk, everyone at Action is welcoming and first class. I always feel like I'm just visiting with friends during my sessions. I truly look forward to visiting my "friends" while we talk about weekend plans, college football, etc etc. Not to say this staff won't push you further than you can push yourself at home, but it's a "friendly torture". This staff truly wants to push you beyond where one might push themselves because their job is to get you back to where you once were. My PT will come to an end in a month or two and I will miss everyone from the front desk to the techs and PT's. They are truly a kind and caring bunch. The entire staff is awesome! Everyone is polite and they make you feel like family. The atmosphere is like non I've ever experienced. It's very laid back and fun to be in. They listen to classic rock and old school music, joke around with each other as well as the patients. You wont find another physical therapy place like this one. All of the therapists seem great just from my observations while at my appointments. I saw Dr. Jim King, the Occupational Therapist who is a Certified Hand Therapist. He is great at what he does! He made some lifestyle change suggestions to help me cope with my condition, as well as some work style changes and they have all been extremely helpful in my healing process. Remember, the therapist can only help you so much, but the final recovery process has to be completed by the patient by making the changes recommended by their therapist. I had a wonderful experience at Action Physical Therapy and would highly recommend this location due to the amazingly attentive and friendly staff. Caroline H was a great asset in my recovery from a knee issue and all of the other staff members I got to know were fantastic, knowledgeable and skilled at dealing with all types of people (old / young, big / small, athletes / non-exercisers) and all of their needs. In addition to the excellent care and attention on your body, you will also have fun! The friendly and social staff create a very relaxed and comfortable environment and the time goes by quickly while making new friends that distract from some of the rigor with working through an injury or surgical recovery. Broke my right arm before thanksgiving, was referred to Action Therapy by doctor Shupe. This was the best part of my recovery as I was tended by Jim King who treated me as no 1 patient (He treats every one as no 1); he assigned exercises to de done at home, these and his dedication during every visit had me back nearly 100% within 6 weeks. On top of this the other therapists provided unrequested advise even though they were not treating me Atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable as they all do enjoy their work; you may be in little pain but are constantly laughing as they make the visit fun - make sure you read their patient guidelines! After theraphy ended I continued their wellness program for three months; during this time I did assigend exercises and all the therapists kept an eye on me and helped get the most out of it If you ever need PT this is the place to go read more

I highly recommend APT. The entire staff was fantastic. Julianna was the ultimate professional and kept me informed of my progress after every visit. The at home exercises and stretch routines she provided after my last visit have helped me not only keep my injured shoulder well, but also helping me sleep better and have better posture. At 65 years old, it is much appreciated. The facilities are easily accessible being on the first floor of the building, cleaned and sanitized constantly and the location and free parking are great. I have been going to PT at Action for several months due to lower back pain. This place, and the people in it, are wonderful! I was assigned Matthew as my PT person. I know it seems strange, but I really enjoyed going for my appointments. Matthew is very knowledgeable and also really nice and professional. We were able to locate the cause of my pain and I am feeling much better. I am now doing their aftercare program, the 30 for $30. Patients who are done with the formal PT can pay $30 per month and go every day, all day if they want. It is nice to be able to work out there and have the professionals to help if needed. They all keep an eye on me and make sure I am doing things correctly. So happy I found this place. read more

I came here for a shoulder issue after a bike wreck and they really helped me get back on track. It is a really clean office with caring professionals. Jim is awesome. On the first visit he offered me his cell phone number and told me to text him about any issues that arise. He explains everything clearly so you can understand what is wrong (how the muscles or whatever interact with your issue) and how the exercises that you will be doing will help you. His office is open late on certain days also, so if you cant be off of work, you can still make appointments after 5. The staff at this office really makes you feel welcome and I will recommend the office to anyone that needs some PT. read more

I cannot express how grateful I am to have met Dr. Jim King and his staff. I had nasty dog bite on my right hand which resulted in having surgery. I was super discouraged and had lost hope that my hand was ever going to go back to normal. My hand is now 100 times better than when I first started. From an accident, I had severed two extensor tendons on my right hand. Surgery repaired them, but because of the repair and weeks of immobilization, my hand was as stiff as concrete. My surgeon said that because of my age and the extent of the injury, I could only expect to regain about 80% of my prior usage of the hand. Jim King was a pleasant drill sergeant. It was his persistence/encouragement/expertise and a set of creative and scary looking contraptions that pushed me to complete a rehab in which I have returned to almost 100% of previous use of the hand. After having surgery for a ruptured patella tendon, I needed to find a place to begin re-hab on my knee! Matthew O. was my main contact, at APT and he was very knowledgeable and explained everything so I understood what was happening. We began to start the long road to recovery, and I was surprised how quickly things progressed. The atmosphere for the office was relaxed and comfortable. The Trainers at Action Physical Theraphy are an extraordinary group. They are friendly, accommodative, and patient. Their environment is so inviting and they vibe to some rocking tunes. You kind of forget your pain and just get the therapy work done! I worked with Jim & Kim and they help me restore my dexterity after years of work trauma. When I came in, I thought my pain was indicative of something much more serious and permanent. After Jim educated me on my condition and the treatment thereof, I was all in on his prescribed regime. I went there after my ACL surgery after a month of not doing any Teraphy because of my insurance. I was nervous because I did not know how they were going to treat my injury. Since day one they have help me regain full motion and more strength into my knee. I loved it here and sadly insurance did not wanted to cover more visits. I will suggest to go with Lino!
