Dr. Vansadia was wonderful. He really explained my issues to me clearly and went over my MRI results. I've been in pain a really long time with multiple things going on. Although the cortisone shot he gave me has me sore....its nothing like I felt walking in to see him if that paints a picture of how awful I felt! He gave me hope I will feel better in weeks and after being this way for months it's given me new light! truly felt like an instant patient of his and that he was very genuine with his approach. I believe that says a lot as I'm rarely a patient, but when I am...it is sure nice to feel like a person and not just a number! Dr. Vansadia helped my mom who has bone on bone issues with a knee she is in her 90's and the medical community will not replace her knee. That being said Dr. Vansadia started injecting a jell into her knee which gave her about 4 months of relief but she had to wait 2 months with a lot of knee pain before getting another injection. He did this a number of times every time before he injected the jell he would draw water off of her knee. Then one time he did not draw the water off of her knee and injected the jell and she had no pain for 1 day say 36 hours total. Then her knee pain returned completely on the second day. I took her back and when I questioned Vansadia about why he didn't draw the water off of her knee the told me that "the water did not have to be removed". Immediately I knew this was not factual. Think about it if you make jello and you add to much water the jello will not set up correctly. Duh!!! So he put her on cortisone shots which did help again for about 4 months. I think the first two or three times the injection helped then one injection didn't seem to help and his office said it could take up to a month to get the whole effect of the cortisone which is strange typically within 2-3 days her pain would be gone. That injection did not help her!! Maybe the injection misplace, well no matter another 4 months of pain for my mom every time she took a step. Vansadia just told her she had to wait. This was his fault he did the injection and he just brushed it off and really did not seem to give two shits about my mom's pain. He gave her some pills that didn't help the pain. what helps with bone on bone well it's not pharmaceuticals. To me Vansadia is about his $$$ and not as much about actual patient care. I could be wrong but this is my opinion on how my mom was treated. I have taken her to Methodist Orthopedics they will help her so that she doesn't have pain two out of six months till she could get another injection. Plus the way Methodist administer the injections is completely different very innovative and very well done. Her knee doesn't hurt after a proper injection. Methodist truly leads medicine and some people seem to want their paycheck. I think Vansadia may have good bedside manner but I would definitely question his knowledge of the proper way to administer the products that he prescribes. Because the new Orthopedic Dr. explained that not taking the water off of the knee is not the proper way that the jell should have been administered because the jell will not set up properly when water is not removed at the injection site. INOV8 is a cute name but I am not sure what is innovative with their procedures to me it was antiquated now that mom has been to someone that is truly inov8tive and that is Methodist Orthopedics!!!!! read more

I almost canceled my appointment because I was treated so poorly by Brittany the young lady that made my appointment I don't know if she was just having a bad day but she was rude, abrupt, and condescending, and acted like she just didn't want to help . I mean, she's the first person I talked to, and she needed to at least try to make a good impression as to not run people away . As I stated, I almost canceled the appointment thought about it till 12 midnight and then I was like well my doctor recommended him and I hurt so let me go and I went and I'm glad I did not cancel my appointment. Dr. Vansadia was fabulous. He explained everything to where I could understand what was going on. He had fabulous bedside manner. He gave me a steroid shot and I was on my way. There was a young man at the front desk. I wish I would've got his name but I didn't he was very kind and helpful and Amanda the lady that walked me back and took my information. She was very sweet also. I will refer however will warn of Brittany. She really needs to have a people skills training course. So take away everyone in the office was great but their point person Brittany will probably run some people away. read more

My experience with Dr. Anthony Gualtieri and INOV8 Orthopedics was very negative. Although the doctor is a kind person, the outcome of my hip replacement and the care I received at the clinic were extremely disappointing. During my hip replacement surgery with Dr. Gualtieri, my femur was fractured, the stem was placed over-rotated, and the femoral head was left loose. Because of the fracture, a cerclage was placed, which caused severe pain and had to be removed in a second surgery four months later. Even then, my pain never improved. At 9th months I was given a cortisone injection in the bursa, and he suggested injecting the psoas muscle as well. I insisted something more was wrong and requested a CT scan, which finally showed the over-rotated stem. I later sought a second opinion, and the new specialist had to remove the entire prosthesis and replace it. Now I am finally pain-free, my foot is straight, and I can walk normally. My experience at INOV8 Orthopedics during these surgeries was also deeply troubling. After my first surgery, the medications caused severe nausea, and while I was still under anesthesia--half asleep--they discharged me. They told my husband that if I didn't urinate, he should take me to an emergency room. They sent me home without properly checking my vital signs or considering my condition. It was an inhumane and undignified way to treat a patient. During my second surgery, even though they knew how badly I had reacted to their medications and anesthesia, they attempted to give me the same medications again. I had to refuse and go home to take the only medicine that didn't make me sick. Overall, the care I received felt lacking in compassion, attention, and basic respect for the patient's well-being. I had a knee replacement at this facility. Their staff was very caring & the office took care of my insurance and scheduling very well. My knee is still sore, but overworking it may be the cause after speaking with the doctor. The quality of care is very good, I have some positives for their facility. I have been experiencing issues with my shoulder for a few months. Saw my PCP and she suggested for me to see a specialist. With my insurance, I have to have a referral, so my doctor commenced that process which took about a week. Once I receive the referral, it was for INOV8. I was relived because I was in a lot of pain, especially at nights which made it very difficult for me to sleep. I received communication from the office and was asked a specific question about my insurance, which the answer was Yes! I was then told that they did not accept my type of insurance. I was confused because my insurance company already vetted them, and approved the referral. I reached back out to them again, and the young lady that answered the phone was not very nice. It seemed as if I called her personal number and she was annoyed that I was calling. I told her my concern, and she placed me on hold to speak with someone in the billing department. She came back on the phone and informed me that I am considered out of network, which means I will have to pay everything out of pocket. I said to her, this doesn't make any sense at all. I asked, why would my insurance company send me here, if I am considered out of network? She did not have an answer for me. Shortly thereafter I received a text message from a lady by the name of Monica de la Cruz stating the following: "Mr. XXX, I am in the billing department so I know we are not on any Exchange plans. If you would like to schedule an appointment that is fine. We will collect in full and IF insurance pays the claim we will be glad to refund your payment. We will have you sign a financial form informing you of this as well. Thank you!" Needless to say I call my insurance company. I told them what was told to me and they too were confused as to why INOV8 was telling me I am considered out of network because they do not accept my insurance. The person I spoke with at the insurance company said they will reach out to them. A few days later, I received another message from INOV8, and it was from Monica again. Her message reads as thus: "Good afternoon Mr. XXX, first I would like to send my sincere apologies to you. I just got off the phone with BCBS and we are in network with your insurance. "We were not aware of this." If you would like to come in and see Dr. Vansadia you are more than welcome too. If surgery is required Memorial Hermann is not in network. Dr. Vansadia does go to INOV8 Surgical which is an Ambulatory Surgical Center next door (no affiliation). All has been confirmed with BCBS ref number....." Trust me when I say I am MORE than ANGRY! How can you, Monica tell me "you're in the billing department, so you know you are not on any exchange," then come back and say, "we were not aware of this!" Wouldn't a person in billing know what type of insurance they accept or not? And because I was adamant about this, why would you not pick up the phone can call my insurance company? Also, why would ANYONE pay out of pocket when their insurance is covering EVERYTHING at 100%? Who does that? Can you make that make sense to me, because I am not about to pay you anything in full, wait for my insurance to pay you, then wait for my funds to be refunded. That's NOT how that works Monica/INOV8!!! This situation was handled very sloppy and was very unprofessional. If this is the way you guys handled me when it came to my insurance, I can only imagine if I needed to have a procedure done what would happen. You must do better because this is unacceptable. Needless to say, I spoke with my PCP and have them send BCBS another referral and I am now going to another doctor. Trying to deal with their surgery scheduler, Jasmine has been beyond ridiculous. She answers the phone with an attitude. She quoted me payment that was 1250$ more than what my out of pocket outpatient surgery copay is. The moment I walked into the surgery scheduler office I was misquoted about memorial hermann not being in my network. Why would I of been sent to a doctor that is in network with an out of network hospital? They just assumed and let me go on my way. I spent hours on the phone with Cigna and he even had a rep from Cigna reach out to them numerous times to let them know that memorial hermann is in network. Over all I would NOT recommend this practice just on the basis of extremely rude surgery scheduler jasmine who doesn't seem to enjoy her job or want to do her job. The last conversation with her was so uncomfortable and she told me that to hold on a sec while she got the dr or the office manager because every time we speak, there are issues... how professional. How about the fact that she kept quoting me WRONG information. What a nightmare. I would never go there again because of this major issue. read more

EXCELLENT GROUP! After a major accident, Doctor Vandadia operated on my very dear friend (who could not walk) to fix his hip. The outcome resulted in far greater success than anticipated. My friend now walks normally! Since that time, my daughter (who is not a patient) has experienced orthopedic issues of her own. My friend sent Dr. V an image of my daughter's MRI results to ask his opinion. Dr. V actually reviewed the MRI and gave his prognosis and recommendation. WHAT DOCTOR DOES THAT? Dr Jason Brannen is an amazing doctor. I'll write more about him in a separate review. I am so glad he had me do my surgery at Inov8 Orthopedics for a total knee Replacement. The day of my surgery, I arrived at Inov8 Orthopedics at 6:00a.m by 12 :00 p.m., I was back home, sitting in my bed with my leg elevated and ice on my knee," Less then 1 hour after surgery I was walking on my new knee. I think I was very fortunate to have went to inov8 Orthopedics. They prepared me for the surgery with a class about surgery along with a booklet full of information about my surgery and everything I needed to know before, during and after my TKR. They also answered all my questions and fears They even gave me information about an app online called calm to help me not be so nervous about my upcoming surgery. They told me that if I I let them know the day of surgery that they would play whatever I wanted while I was waiting for surgery to help me relax. They real went out of there way to make sure I was relaxed and comfortable. The day of surgery I was extremely nervous but they were so professional, confident and calming. They were ready for me and it put me at ease. The prep for surgery went very fast and was painless even the first of two nerve blocks. I felt nothing. I think it was about 30 minutes after I went back to be prepped that I was wheeled into the surgery room next thing I know I'm in recovery. my surgery done and they're offering me something to eat and I got up and did some walking. The nerve blocks lasted about 24 hours. I will say it was painful and sore after the nerve blocks wore off but I was given medicine to help with the pain. Almost 2 weeks later I am doing really well. I have very little pain mostly pain when I am in bed at night and my knee gets a little stiff still. That is getting better and better every day. I am now two weeks out walking 4-5 thousand steps a day. Almost at full extension and can bend my knee 90 degrees with no pain. Physical therapy is amazed at how well I'm doing. I had very little bruising and swelling. my knee feels very stable. I am so glad I had my surgery at the inov8 Orthopedics instead of a hospital. They really pay attention to the details. It is a very clean environment and they are extremely careful about people coming in. At a hospital I would've been in with all the sick people with the added risk of getting a infection. I need my left knee replaced also. there was no question about whether or not to have outpatient surgery at inov8 Orthopedics. My experience was phenomenal. They gave me all the tools I needed to be comfortable and successful. The whole staff is truly amazing they all work together so well. read more

I'm now 12 weeks post-op and have been pain-free since about 3 weeks post-op, and walking normally after about 4 weeks.
