This was our first time dealing with a solar installation so we were anxious about the installation. Davon explained to us the whole process and alleviated all our concerns. We were very appreciative with The scheduling department having to accommodate to our crazy schedule. The installation went well, the workers were courteous and professional answered any questions we had. The installation looked great and clean. This company is very misleading. I had the add a new roof to the loan and I was over charged and not to mention it took 6 months for them to find a roofer .The roofer came to my door 1 month after the inspection and said he has left bills and multiple messages to this company and he has not received payment for his work. I asked him if this was the only job that he was not paid for and he said there were others. I was told payment to the loan company would not be due until 1 year after installation. The installation was delayed many times due to lack of employees. I have only had my panels for 6 months and they have already started drafting my account for the full amount. This company is misleading and dishonest. I recommend to turn your back on this project if any of there representatives approach you! read more

If you'd like to spend $650 dollars on a warranty repair that takes them less than 2 hours to accomplish including the initial service call, then this company is for you. Our modem went out on our solar system months ago and we were called by Action Solar two months after the fact to let us know. I usually check my solar app but with two young kids and a busy job, I hadn't checked recently. They charged us $200 just for the service call, where the tech read a code for less than 5 minutes and then spent 35 mins in his truck apparently ordering the part that was covered by warranty. The rep informed us that the installation would cost an additional $400. We asked for them to work with us on that cost since the service call was so short. The rep, who was friendly, said they would talk to their manager to work with us. We had to call 3 times to inquire on the status of our part over the next month. They never called us to let us know the part was in, and finally on the 3rd call they said it had just arrived. The same rep also told us at this point that their manager had refused to work with us on the cost of the installation. We didn't really have a choice as we needed our solar working, and the manager knew this full well. The tech came today and installed the part. He was here for an hour and 10 minutes. We were charged $450 for this installation, $50 more than the $400 we had asked for them to work with us on. $650 dollars for less than two hours of work for a part that was covered by warranty. We have been trying to reach Action Solar on a warranty issue. Action Solar designed and installed a 23KW system on a Church in North Park. The system has not worked proper over the last 6 months, generating a fraction of what was promised in electrical output. Action solar continues to ignore the issue, they won't even come out to inspect what the problem is and won't respond to phone messages or emails. Very poor service, very unprofessional. read more

One of my panels have been out since the end of July. I couldn't find someone that would drive out to my Desert home to repair it until. I called Action Solar. They came out four days later and fixed my panel. Konstantinos Vatolin was the name of the representative that came out. He was very nice and stood out in 103° temperature and didn't complain once. I bought my system from Titan Solar and they went out of business. Now whenever I need help, I will call Action Solar. read more

The installers took the time to answer all my questions and give details about what they were doing and how everything would work. I even got some general tips for my pool pump. I had an old Sunpower solar system that died (grumble, grumble, don't ask!), and I called Action Solar to see about replacing it. They responded far more quickly than anyone else, and their quote was very reasonable. From my first contact about December 11, they were able to install the new system (and remove the old) in under 3 weeks, finishing installation on December 30! That allowed me to get the higher tax credit which expires on December 31. Amazing. They even fixed a few broken shingles (unrelated to my solar system) for me. John showed up to my house in the time frame I was given and within 30 minutes pinpointed and fixed the problem that was causing a ground fault error in my solar system. Action Solar installed our system while we were out of town. They were efficient and completed installation in 2 days. Once complete, they sent us pictures via a website so that we could see the design layout. In addition, they worked with our provider (SDG&E) to secure all needed permits to activate the system. A friend I know referred Action to me for solar panels. My experience turned out to be similarly excellent. Mike Barnett, senior solar consultant, was patient (let me take the time to make my final decision), attentive and responsive (addressed my long list of questions in a timely manner and always seemed pleasant to interact with). Documentation/fact sheets provided were detailed and comprehensive. The latter steps in the process proceeded quickly and according to the outline. Finished in a week's time. Post-installation follow-up team was similarly attentive and proactive with you instead of the other way around. Referral award was timely sent to my friend. I highly recommend Action.
