Eric, their piercing, runs "Piercing in Action". It's the piercing artist inside the shop. He did my first piercing ever in my helix and it was a beautiful turquoise stone. Really happy with it and he checks in with me to make sure I'm still happy with it and that it heals properly. FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!

My daughter has been asking to get her ears pierced for a long time. I knew I didn't want to go to the mall to get them done. I searched through Yelp and found this place. I texted Simba as stated on the website and he was super quick to reply. Within 45min, I had made an appt, filled out paperwork online and got info from Simba. He was BEYOND thorough at the appointment, told my daughter everything he was doing/going to do where she could understand and was really patient when her anxiety kicked in. The place was SUPER clean, welcoming and chill. I highly highly recommend getting a piercing here with Simba! We were in and out so quick!

I came in wanting an upper lobe and a helix (If that is what it's called) piercing. Simba was friendly, patient, and went over the after care with a lot of details. He's very knowledgeable which made feel more confident in being able to take care of my new piercings. I got both ears pierced. It was pretty quick and painless. On a pain scale for my Upper Lobe I give it a 2/10. For my Helix it was closer to a 3/10. For anyone considering piercings I recommend going to Action Tattoo.

Was trying to decide for a long time if I should write this review and after a year of considering, I made the choice to write this review. First, I will just explain what happened as factually as possible. When I first came into the shop, I met Ray Herrera, I explained to him I wanted a touch up on color on a bee tattoo I have. I asked if he wanted to see the original photo of my tattoo and he said no. I booked a time slot with him and left. When I came to my appointment I asked again if he wanted to see the original picture of the bee I used for my tattoo, and he said no. When Ray finished my tattoo, it was a completely new bee in size, shape, and figure. I paid with a 20% tip and left. I called back about a week later to tell him I was unhappy with his work as he gave me a whole new tattoo when I only asked for color touch up. He said he could fix it but that he would charge me full price to fix it. The bee was now too big, and I didn't want the fix to make it any bigger. Honestly, I don't know how he could have fixed it unless he could erase what he first inked. I never went back and started the process of tattoo removal on the bee tattoo he did. These are the facts. Now for my feelings based on what happened. First, shame on me. I should have never booked an appointment with someone who doesn't want to see the original picture of the tattoo at any time beforehand. Second, shame on me again because I didn't look once during the process. Unfortunately, I had full faith in him to just do a color touch up. Third I was SHOCKED to see all the adjustments he had made with ZERO communication. I literally almost cried in his seat as soon as he showed it to me. Beyond that, after I called, he could have cared less that he didn't listen at all to what I wanted. That he had destroyed a tattoo I had in remembrance of my grandmother. He did nothing to resolve the issue besides me paying to start all over with him. It was all a bad situation that left me feeling unheard, not important, and needing tattoo removal which is painful and EXPENSIVE AF. Also, the tattoo he did, did not turn out well. The lines were very strange and blotchy. Please see the before photos of my cute, sweet, feminine bee next to the quarter . Then see the bee Ray did, a whole new bee with a new head , butt, antenna, and ugly bug eyes, very masculine, fuzzy, not crisp lines and faded color... the opposite of the look I had and needed to remember my grandmother. I do not at all recommend Ray Herrera from Action Tattoo in Anaheim .

I got a Friday the 13th tattoo done and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it came out! I was in there for less than an hour, but the artist tattooing me, Brian, didn't feel like he was rushing (definitely efficient). The vibes were great, and I can't wait to come back to get my next tattoo!

8.19.22: It was a quiet afternoon as my daughter and I strolled in. There were two tattoo artists sketching away at the table, and one piercer who was able to accommodate us on a walk-in. My daughter just turned 17 so as a minor they not only require parental consent, but you have to bring a copy of your child's birth certificate to prove your relationship. I didn't see this as an inconvenience, but instead it was COMFORTING to know that the shop owner takes his business very seriously. For this, A+++++ It was fast, in & out in under 20 mins. My daughter said it was painless (smiley piercing), and BRITTANY had a gentle hand. I met BRIAN, one of the artists, and i'm hoping to have some work done by him in the next couple months. The shop is tidy and organized, and in a clean location. It is tucked away in a shopping plaza, away from the main road, which is nice bc you don't get random people strolling in & out. If you're there it's bc you are having work done and are not there to window shop or be an obnoxious kid who doesn't even have money to afford a double-double with fries next door. A good first time experience overall and i would recommend this shop. Note: California law states no one under age 18 can get a tattoo, regardless of parent consent. If you find a shop in California willing to break the law, that's a big red flag.

Just finished my second tattoo in 2 weeks at Action. I have been tattooed all over the country and I can say that this is one of the best shops I have been to. Roger has done all my work and I can't recommend him enough. The shop is immaculate, well lit, super sanitary, and one of the most comfortable places you can get inked. Roger listens to your idea, creates the artwork and works with you to design your ideal tattoo. I will def return to have more work done here Interesting side note, as my most recent tattoo was being done, the stencil became smudged and almost unreadable. Roger, the consummate professional, didn't skip a beat, knew exactly what he wanted to do, and created a perfect tattoo. You need to get Inked by this guy!

First time visiting this tattoo shop and had a great experience. Tattoo shop is clean and has clean bathrooms. It was 90 plus degrees outside and 65 degrees in the shop. If you come to get a tattoo ask for Rick he is great and a great artist with Reasonable prices. He takes his time and his work is very realistic. read more

This is my go to place for tattoos. It took me a few artists to find the right one but I'm happy I finally found him! I get my tattoos done by Crawford. So far, I've gotten two done and I have quite a few on my list to get more to get. Crawford takes his time and you can tell he really enjoys what he does. It's always a plus finding artists who get excited to do a piece on you. He's quite the perfectionist as well which is a huge plus. I strongly recommend him if you're looking to get a tattoo done! These two are my tattoos that I've gotten so far. He does really nice roses! read more

I found Action Tattoo on Yelp and decided to call them to get my very first real tattoo! I spoke to Rick who said he was available for an in person consultation so I decided to go in. I showed him what I wanted, he quickly jumped on his iPad and sketched it out. It was exactly what I wanted. The finished product was beyond anything I could have imagined and I'm seriously obsessed with it now! Been getting tattooed here for ten years. Roger, the owner has always been incredibly welcoming, and will provide the design for the artwork that will look the best over time, and capture what you are looking for in your tattoo. They recently moved to their new location near the In-N-Out in Anaheim Hills, and the shop is beautifully put together, open, and inviting. All of the other artists (Rick, Brian, Nolan, Janelly and the piercers Lexi and Rachel) do a phenomenal job as well. Cannot recommend this place enough. read more

I've been going to Action Tattoo for 13 years and couldn't be happier with the work and the atmosphere in the shop. I've been tattooed by Sean, Oscar, Will and of course the owner Roger. My wife also has multiple tattoos done at Action and can't wait to return! Currently Roger has been doing a complete leg sleeve from the top of my butt to my ankle and I am blown away with how well it is turning out. The fact I see return customers in the shop year after year speaks for itself. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else and never would. read more

Been coming to Action Tattoo for years even before i was getting tattooed, everyone in the shop is friendly, no tough guy mentality or awkward walk in experience. i personally get tattooed by Taylor Crawford " @crawford_fuk_ya " on instagram rad tattooer and good friend. clean lines, speedy service and always good tattoos. you should check him out and everyone else in the shop the shop is clean and well kept with great flash on the well. good clean stations and over just excellent, i would highly recommend going to the shop, in fact i send ALL of my friends here, on top of people i just meet who like my tattoos, read more

Best experience took my baby for her earrings piercing and Rachel was so gentle and talked me and my husband through the whole process. She didn't even cry! She was fine and even after it's been a couple days and her ears never got red or anything. We followed all the cleaning instructions Rachel gave us. Roger was great. I got my tattoo a little while back but forgot to post my review. He was super patient with me and while the tattoo was pretty simple, I knew exactly what I wanted the font to look like. Roger provided me with lots of samples and even tweaked the one we settled on by hand to make it exactly what I wanted. My next tattoo will also be at Action Tattoo... I was very taken with my artist, Roger. This was my first tattoo. I am an office professional in a "square" industry. Roger was not the only personal referral I had, but he was the only one who treated me and my baby tattoo with respect. The other artists either didn't return my inquiries or flat out told me they only took on larger assignments. The studio was clean and Roger took great care to explain the sanitation process, realistic expectations, adjust my artwork and ensure my overall comfort. If I get another tattoo or add to my first, I will be calling Roger. read more

Came in on 09/03/11... I'm back again for my 2nd tattoo ! The pain hurts so bad but yet I'm ready for my next one! Mojo is the best! He did my first piece [Hello Kitty upper shoulder]. This time me & my mom decide we want one ! He fit us in super fast, emailed him a sketch of what we were looking for and BAM! A couple of hours later we're at the shop ready to get inked! The shop is super clean as always! They sterlize everything and walk you thru the process. We both got the words "still standing" mine is on my wrist (& yes, it DOES HURT) and her's is on the back of the calve. My 16 year old daughter and her friend had their noses pierced by Rachel. She was super nice and made the girls feel totally comfortable. She explained everything she was going to do. The girls were very nervous but Rachel was very gentle and the experience was pretty much painless. She also took the time to explain the aftercare. Honestly, this was probably the best tattoo experience I've ever had and I'm definitely going back. I was lucky enough to have the fabulous Nelly work on my arm and she was just super dope. I got butterflies done and I was a little hesitant at first because I wanted a particular size and didn't want the lines to be too large, but Nelly nailed it! She's well-rounded with her work and I'm genuinely so happy with the results. Plus, art aside, Nelly's just awesome and a great human being. I'm excited to say I think I found my artist who I will be going to for my future tattoos (and we all know that's hard to find). 10/10 recommend! read more

I called to make a last minute appointment with Will and he made my vision better than I could've imagined. He even touched up the other pieces he's done for me in the past. I ended up having my fiance get his done with Roger at the same time and holy crap it looks amazing! Meet the Business Owner: Roger T.

I have been Tattooing since 1990. I did a formal apprenticeship at Empire Tattoo. I worked there for 8 years before moving to MN and working at a little shop called Tatts by Zapp for a few years. I then returned to southern California and started looking for a good location to do my own thing. I found this spot in Yorba Linda a great little community. I haven't looked back. I love this area and my clients that are from here.

Because they take walk-ins, it can get very busy. When I went, it was incredibly loud and packed, and the counterstaff did not attend to this issue (they could have asked those not in for a service to wait outside, made the line to the counter clear, etc). The counterstaff seemed friendly (but didn't appear confident when I asked her what size jewelry posts I got after my appointment). There is a good selection of fine jewelry, both titanium and gold which was great. For my downsize, the piercer didn't close the door behind us, so there was a lack of privacy. I also wasn't presented with the new backings of my jewelry or shown that they had been properly sterilized by their autoclave/statim, and it felt very rushed. I got multiple piercings downsized and for some reason, the piercer utilized a backing from my flat to downsize a lobe piercing. I'm not sure why they did that, as 1) the gauges of the jewelry were different and 2) this left a lot of room extra room between my jewelry and my lobe. Please keep in mind that all of my piercings are well healed over 5+ years and I wanted the most snug fit possible, and was not given that. I should have said something in the moment about this, but as a more reserved person, I'm not one to complain when someone already seems like they're rushing me. After the downsize, I went back to my main piercing studio (over an hour away) to get my lobe properly downsized. I really feel like I wasted my time here, both in waiting over 45 minutes for a downsize and in not getting a properly fitting end. I was honestly shocked at my experience due to the reviews this place has. But maybe I am pickier than most when it comes to these things. Bottom line though is at least they safely pierce and have good jewelry. If you don't nitpick like me, you'll be fine going here.

The owner is definitely sensitive of her business, which I understand but you can't be condescending towards your customers and expect them to retain them. I now go to the piercing shop in Orange. Great service, super helpful. & good prices. If you're looking for spending $250-$1200+ on extremely high-end yet minimal (?) body jewelry then this is the place to go. If you're not, I recommend the piercing shop in orange that will still give you good quality jewelry at a normal price, including the piercings at a normal price and they are just as knowledgeable as the piercers at C&M if not more. Don't make the same mistake I did coming here.

I appreciate how Simba displays care for his craft, but there were many red flags during my experience. My partner and I had requested stainless steel right away for our piercings clarifying we didn't need a titanium upgrade as we have no sensitivities even after the sales pitches, but once Simba told us the price at the end it was much higher than originally quoted, so we corrected him and he said he pierced us with titanium. Not once in the process was this made known to us. This was an extra $40ish to our total that we had no choice but to pay, when we have no sensitivities or allergies and are used to stainless steel jewelry. Simba was very salesman-y and tried to have us purchase many things until I requested to take them off the total, which I get from a business perspective but it made things a bit uncomfortable. I was familiar with the products too as we sell them at my work, and they are not soundly necessary for piercing aftercare. Any clean saline spray works great. The main problem came with my vertical labret piercing, which the end ball fell out 1-2 hours after he pierced me. I was standing when it fell out, and i didn't even notice until I saw my lip. I had to go back and get it fixed, which I do appreciate that Simba came back to help and screw a new one in. Then, 2 weeks later, my piercing fell out again when I was sitting in a car on a road-trip to another state. I never touched my piercing or did high movements out of caution. Once again only noticed when I saw my lip in a mirror. It was an insanely stessful experience where my piercing came out from the top of my lip and I had to shove it back in with blood leaking down my chin during a food stop in front of my family. Appetite ruined. Though Simba referred me to someone he knew in the area I had to pay to get the ball replaced, and this piercer was amazing. Johnny from Club Tattoo. My body was in shock from everything and I was not all the way there but he was very kind and I wish he was local to the area. He mentioned that per Simba's instructions (which were rather outdated, uncommon, and bizarre: clean the piercing 3 times a day with a spray and then 1 more time with a specific foam soap), I was over cleaning my irritated piercing and needed to let it be instead. I was only spraying it 3 times a day as I thought the soap was overkill, and spraying it 1-2 allowed it to heal better. The real kicker was, once this piercer switched my bottom ball out (Simba was telling me to buy a whole new piercing), it never fell out again! Not even once. I was even worried as the jewelry base was different. And I was very careful out of fear at first but then I started continuing my workouts and being not careful at all, bumping it etc, it still never fell out and lasted me about 5 months, perfectly in fact, until I had the courage to downsize it with The Piercing Shop (they were also very kind, low stress, and told me not to pay more for titanium when I asked as a precaution bc stainless steel works just fine). I even considered going back to Simba to downsize but never got a response. I'm unsure how things could've gone so wrong here, and it was personally a bad experience for me and my partner whose piercing had no room to be downsized as well and hasn't healed well. 2 stars for the early effort in communication at least, but overall a very poor personal experience

They use nice towels to dry your hands, and they have body towels if you take a shower. The lounge space is co-ed, with loungers, chairs, 2 flavored waters, 2 types of small bite-size pastries (blueberry bread and cranberry orange scones), and they offered me hot tea. The wall nearby appears to be stained-glass. Wowsers, what an experience. It's absolutely worth it. Spend the money on yourself, indulge, and you will never regret it. Finally got some time in my life to get properly tattooed and can't lie, i've been on a bit of an addictive rampage... one after another. Roger (the Owner) has been working with me on many different ideas and i am slowly getting covered in ink. I chose Action (Roger) not because i knew Roger and the great reputation of the shop before my tattoo addiction, but because i know Roger runs a (very) clean-quality shop and is brutally honest about what will work and what wont. "Tattoo 101"... not all ideas and drawings will transfer well into a tattoo and i appreciate Roger's million years in the business and "old-school" approach to long-lasting, solid tattoos. I admit, i have some pretty whacky ideas and he is great about steering me in the right direction and not letting me do something stupid that will be with me for the rest of my life. I'm also lucky that i love "Japanese" and that is one of his specialties... i can assure you we are in the process of some pretty extensive tattooing and i couldn't be happier with the work so far. I also like the scary-spooky stuff too and he is very well rounded and has no problem coming up with cool stuff that will frighten small children, lol. Although i haven't had a chance (yet) to experience any of the other Artists, i know "Rog" only hires the best and i know some of the other Artists like "Mojo" have a pretty impressive pedigree and is basically the only Artist my Wife will use and her "pieces" are amazing (she's on the addictive "tattoo getting train" as well) I have now (obviously) spent a good amount of time in the shop and just want to explain one frustrating thing that i see these guys have to deal with and add some advice to any prospective clientele reading this... They have a $100 minimum and that seems to be a "sticky point" for some and i have even witnessed people getting kind of angry, especially when the Artists are honest and explain that their idea might not work or transfer well into a tattoo. You might have your heart set on something but trust their experience and don't get something that won't look right or won't last long-term. You have to understand that this is a quality shop and it costs time & money to even set-up for your tattoo (needles, quality ink, gloves, sanitizing products/procedures, drawing time, rent, insirance, etc) so please understand that you're getting a quality tattoo... and quality tattoos aint' cheap! Tattoos will be on you for the rest of your life so if you want something crappy you might "regert" (lol), go to a cheap shop, but please don't cry to these poor guys that are just trying to give you a great experience and something you'll love till you die. They truly care about doing great tattoos and not just taking your money. I was timid about getting my first tattoo. I spoke to Roger at Action Tattoo and he eased my concerns. I showed him the scars near my belly button from a procedure I received. Roger took a photo and made a custom design on his iPad which I was able to preview prior to him imprinting the design on me. The butterfly tattoo came out perfect. Roger was very calming, professional, clean, and reassuring throughout the entire process. I have two other scars and I'm looking forward to Roger working his magic to camouflage those scars. So... I have been getting tattooed at action tattoo for a little over two years now. Every time I leave the shop with a new tattoo, which I may say is pretty often, I am more than satisfied with the quality and art work that is bestowed upon my skin, not to mention how welcome the guys in the shop make you feel. 10/10 two thumbs up, if you want bad ass, quality tattoos that people compliment you on every day, then it looks like you have found your shop. I have never gotten a tattoo and Action Tattoo was so helpful and supportive. I explained to them that I have a phobia of needles and am really anxious to get my tattoo and they informed me of the numbing cream. Awesome shop right next to one of my favorite bars the canyon inn. Have a beer and a shot of jack and go get tattood!! Ive always heard roger the owner runs a tight ship and i wasnt disappointed. Clean, professional and i know from others he only hires quality artists. Did a nice japanese piece for me and couldnt be happier. Best tattoo shop in OC. Right next to the 91 so it's convenient to stop by. Roger is the owner and has been working on tattoos since he was 17. The experience of the workers in this shop is insane.
