Came by today for a Friday the 13th tattoo. As one would expect, it was busy. Not a big deal. That's not what this review is about. So I walk in at 11am and am greeted and told it'll be an aprox 2 hour wait- again- no problem. This is to be expected. I get my name down and leave for a few hours and come back. I let the guy greeting everyone know multiple times that I wanted a full-color tattoo. I wait another hour and am seated with an artist. Upon being seated I notice that he has mostly black and grey art posted. I remind him that I expected a full-color tattoo and he let me know that he doesn't do color. Hey, no big deal. I wouldn't force someone to do something they're not comfortable with. So the guy from the front apologizes and says it'll be another 45 minutes until another artist is ready. (I should have just cut my losses at this point). So it's closing in on another hour and dude let's me know another artist can actually take me. Fantastic! Well I sat there for another 20 minutes, while the new artist consulted (flirted) with two women on what they wanted. Never greeted me. Never asked what I wanted done. Completely ignored me even though I was the next client. At this point I politely stood up and walked out. I heard so many good things about this shop so I'm honestly just shocked and disappointed by the customer service and priorities of this shop. read more

These guys do it by the book and take all the necessary safety percausions. They even take your temp when you walk in. I found my boy Javi on instagram and finally decided to give him a shot. He inked up my wife's name on my arm, in honor of our 11 year anniversary. It turned out really dope. I was so impressed with his work and how clean his process was, that I've gone back a few more times for 2 more pieces. I came here with my sister recently & wow.. It's pretty hidden and in a creepy corner.. But once we walked inside... The atmosphere changed instantly, we were greeted & asked to take our temperature to make sure we weren't infected.. The layout of the tattoo shop was really clean & divided by the tattoo artists. Each artist had their own section where they could do their work. Javier was so patient and easy going, he was able to sketch out a design of what my sister wanted & helped revise the tattoo artwork.. Javier was so understanding & patient with my sister and I am glad we came here. My sis is the one getting a tattoo & just by observing how they do business with her was very impressive.. Ive gotten my fair share of Friday the 13th tats and this is by far THE Worst shop I've been to yet. I'm used to it being busy. Nbd. But after waiting 4 hours I walked back into the shop for them just to tell me that another artist really wants to do the tattoo I picked and that they are going to skip me to let some others go so I wait another 45 minutes and walk in to have the guy tell me that some others walked in that get priority so it's gonna be even LONGER. Please don't tell people first come first serve if you can pay $20 to skip the line. I just wasted 5 hours for nothing but an apology. read more

Last month I had the urge to get a tattoo I search all the local tattoo shops multiple times. United By Ink came up and I was drawn to them and was very impressed with there work. I went in and they were really nice! I showed them what I wanted and they just vibes back with me making suggestions with what would enhance the tattoo in ways I would have never thought of! I went with my gut and got my tattoo right there and then! Jerry was my artist he was very impressive a young newer artist, I was glad that he was multitasker because, I went by myself and needed someone to talk to! First and foremost I want to start by saying that this is by far the largest and cleanest shop Ive been to in Socal. Theyve got a pool table, TVs, a spacious and clean bathroom, and most importantly; they have some of the most professional and personable artists Ive met! Every single one of them are so unique in their own styles, and provide good quality (custom) work. Theres an artist for american traditional, japanese traditional, realism, color realism, surrealism, portraits, you name it! All of their work is worth every single penny and i stand by that 100000000000% Let me also state that they have the most badass looking money frog out by the front (I always acknowledge the frog my dads soul is trapped in there i think). In conclusion, there hasnt been a day where I didnt enjoy my time at United by Ink. This seriously doesnt even scratch the surface of the surplus of emotions and opinions I have of this place but I will be sure to update you guys. Had my appointment with Pete Luna on 5.28.22 but when I arrived he was still finishing up a tattoo so I was sitting there waiting for over an hour. No deposit necessary on a Saturday as a new client. We discussed having a SIMPLE red rose tattoo done after my mothers passing, I noticed that after a two week healing process I discovered part of the stem was fading. When I called him back to discuss the situation he was very defensive like it was more my fault then his doing. He stating that red ink was a poor decision on my part that he suggested black ink, which was never discussed. When trying to rectify the issue he is now trying to overcharge me a set up fee to come in to fix the issue, but now with all the text messages going back-and-forth, I'm quite embarrassed and a little leery to go in now. Even though I gave him a 20% tip this is why I'm leery of helping out small contractors/Facebook business. When he should of just been cool about it and fixed the faded tattoo, he probably would of gotten his set up fee at the end of the day. Holy wow I'm so impressed! I know drop-ins aren't ideal but I was feeling it today. I called ahead and the guy (forget his name) was very nice, he said he was the only one working and he had a long job ahead of him, but that he'd text out to the other artists to see if they wanted to come in and tattoo me. Approx an hour later I got a text from Jerry and we arranged to meet up at the shop. He was so wonderfully courteous and thorough, probably the best tattoo experience I've had (this was tattoo #7). So glad I was able to find this place via yelp. I've been wanting some small tattoos for awhile but never satisfied of finding a place. I went for a consultation and was intro to Jeffrey. Asked him about the tattoos and price and agreed to set up and appt next day to do so. Jeffrey was accommodating and informative. I was looking for fine line for Roman numerals and Jeffrey were able to delivered it. The shop: Located in a small plaza and you'll be able to find it with the sign out front; shop however is in the corner. ...shop is clean, blasting music all the time in a good level where you won't get a headache while getting a tattoo lol. Jeffrey was very upfront with the price and very patient with my selections since I was picky about the location, the size on the day etc ::. We did a few changes and I had more than 1 tattoos and I gotta say, very happy about it. I had my kids bdates on my shoulder in Roman numeral and the size I've been wanting .. the fine line is really good. On my second week of healing and it came out the way I wanted. The most clean and professional shop I've seen. All the artists there are super friendly. They're always so attentive to what the the clients actually want. Just got this beautiful little rosemary bunch done by Isa! This shop is amazing. This was my first tattoo and no one judged me for not having work done, like in other shops I've been to. Everyone came over and said hello, they were all super nice, and Isa is fantastic. She has the most gentle hand.
