Let me first establish that I've had a lot of outboard mobile mechanic working on my outboards over…read morethe years. Until I met Ryan, I was under the impression that all of them are just flakes - irresponsible and unreliable. I've been lucky to run into Ryan while he was working on slip neighbor's outboard this summer. My neighbor had nothing but high praise for him and the quality of his work (always good to hear); Ryan did not have his business cards on him (good as well - not hurting for work!). Luckily, I was smart enough to quickly snap a picture of the back of his Dockside Marine T-shirt, so I was able to get in touch when I was down. Ryan took care of my last engine problem earlier this month. He owned the issue all the way through, till my engine was humming again. Ryan is very professional, and highly knowledgeable. He obviously has a lot of experience. He always showed up on time; he was fast and efficient while working on the problem. Ryan is the real deal - you can feel his excitement while troubleshooting, narrowing down the possible issue. We ordered the likely failed parts he identified; he replaced them. He got my boat back in business as soon as could just hope for. The guy that posted recent negative report on him obviously have not had much experience dealing with outboard mechanics in SD area. These guys are mostly running "one-man-band" operations. If you expect them to be able to answer all calls and VMs the same day, or even in a couple of days, especially in the middle of July - you're not being realistic. You need to have your boat serviced by the bigger marine repair shops, and be ready to wait to bring in your boat in like 3-6 weeks, and likely end up paying twice as much as Ryan will end up charging you. I hate to see folks feeling compelled to review someone's work poorly on Yelp, when they did not even experience the true quality of the service provided. I have found my new boat mechanic, and I'm stoked I got so lucky.

I was looking for quotes for a receiver hitch for my new Tucson to carry a recumbent trike rack…read more Robert texted me back promptly. RMRV didn't have quite exactly what I was looking for. For instance, I didn't need a hitch for 3,000# or greater, just something to carry the trike. Even after we agreed that I should look elsewhere, Robert continues to discuss my needs and offer suggestions, such as contacting my bike shop. Robert went above and beyond to assist me, even after it was obvious that there'd be no money in it for them. Based on my experience, I'd return to them for a quote next time I needed a hitch for another reason.

Robert, the owner, promised to have it ready in two weeks. That did not happen. In February, we finally picked it up. When we took it camping, not only did the furnace still not work, but the entire solar/lithium battery system did not work. We took it back to have the problems addressed in April. Robert quoted an amount of $5400 to revamp the system and to install two new awnings. After 18 unanswered phone calls and several visits to the shop, we were finally contacted and told it was ready. When we showed up to retrieve the camper, we were shocked to discover that the new invoice was for a total of over $13,000. None of this was ever presented for our approval. And just now we tried to roll out the awning, and it is broke. Unbelievably terrible experience.

I was the victim of a vicious dog attack by a German Shepherd and its negligent owner. The dog tore the skin from my forearm, requiring immediate reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. In the months that followed, I endured significant pain and hardship. I had to travel 30 minutes to an hour each week for specialized medical care, including ongoing wound treatment and dressing changes. The attack not only caused physical suffering, but also led to lasting financial strain. I was unable to return to work and was ultimately forced into early retirement at a reduced income. At a time when I felt overwhelmed and unsure how I could afford legal help, Dustin Gatson at Bowman Law stepped in and took my case on a contingency basis--meaning he would only be paid if we won. From the very beginning, Dustin worked tirelessly on my behalf. He kept me informed every step of the way, regularly checked in on my well-being, and never gave up on me or my case. Because of Dustin's dedication and persistence, the hotel was held accountable. The settlement he secured has helped ease my financial burden and restored a sense of hope for my future--and for humanity. I am deeply grateful for Dustin's support and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone in need of a compassionate, committed, and effective attorney. Thank you, Dustin.

Took my boat into the shop for the following reasons:…read more 1. Look at trailer guide boards and secure wood to frame better - Said they would do it, but was not done. 2. Look at trailer lights and fix issue with lights flickering - was told it works fine, and it still doing the same thing. 3. Fix broken reflector on trailer - glued cheapest looking reflector you could imagine and it's even crooked. But no big deal. I'll fix it. 4. Make sure all boat speakers were working properly and fix if needed - was told they'd do it, never happened. They said when I came to pick up the boat that they don't do that. So still have the same problem. 5. Check pontoons for leaks - they said they checked for leaks. They said there was an obvious leak in the middle pontoon (it's a tritoon) due to water being inside. It rained and water went through the upper hatch in the floor of the boat. They said the bilge pump inside the pontoon wasn't working. I ask them to fix it and they said I need to get the leak fixed and the water drained before they would do it. Come to find out from a different shop there was no leak, they just didn't want to siphon the water out and replace the bilge pump. 6. Fix bilge pump (see #5) 7. Perform engine maintenance to ensure everything is working properly - Changed gear oil and said that it needs a fuel additive to clean some carbon in the motor. They said it comes in a case of either 6 or 8 bottles. I was charged for the whole case and they only used 1 bottle and then told me they placed the other bottles in the boat. Got home. Nothing. It's ok if they don't do certain things but done say you do if you don't. Maybe they should say they will only work on engines. Anyways here is the real reason for the 1 star review. I wish I could give 0 stars. When I parked my boat and trailer at the shop, there was absolutely no damage to the trailer, with the exception of 1 reflector as mentioned earlier. When I picked up my boat and took it home, I realized it had been in some sort of collision. The right rear corner was bent in, scratched up and the tail lights are broken. (See pictures) I called the shop to inform them of the issue and was told they'd didn't do the damage and they have video from when I dropped it off, showing the damage was already there, to prove it. I said great please send the video and this would not be an issue. They called back 30 minutes later saying they will not send the video to me (because it doesn't exist) and they said they are denying responsibility. The owner seems to not be very interested in their customers. I've asked repeatedly to speak to the owner, and he was on vacation (understandable, that happens) they told me he would be back in a little over a week. I waited til the owner was supposedly back. And I emailed, no response. I called and was told he'd call me back. Then the same employee calls and says he's in a meeting. And that he'd call me back still. Still have not received a call. Then I get an emailed video of them backing my trailer around the shop and there was damage. But it doesn't show any of the other 5 or 6 times it was moved. They selected a later video that shows damage and are trying to say that it was a video from the morning I dropped it off. Also when asked them about the tail lights flickering issue. They said they inspected all of the lights and they were all working properly. That's when I added for them to service the motor. And NOW there is damage to the trailer, and they didn't do it. This was the first and last time I will use this boat shop. Unfortunately good boat shops are hard to find and this one is no exception. They will take advantage of you any chance they get and will damage your stuff and lie about it. I was charged about $1000 for them to change gear oil, replace propellor, and add 1 bottle of fuel additive. Now I get to find a place to fix the boat trailer and then go through the process of suing them. I have a feeling the lawsuit might be more expensive to fight, than if they would've just done the right thing.
