We had heard a lot about this place, so we decided to take my 12-year-old son here for his birthday with three of his friends and it was a huge hit. This is the perfect spot for kids (and honestly adults too) to burn off energy. It's a mix of human interactive video-style games and physical activity like throwing balls, jumping, running...spread across different rooms with all kinds of challenges. You definitely can't come here low-energy because you'll be moving the entire time. I booked online and chose the 90-minute option, which was $39 per person. It might seem a little pricey at first, but it actually works out well because of how the timing is structured. You rotate through rooms and sometimes wait briefly for a game to finish, so everything feels organized and not chaotic. The setup is very efficient. You get a wristband that you scan to enter games, track your points, and even create a username. There's a leaderboard screen, which the kids loved, and you can earn points toward small prizes. The whole place felt clean, well-run, and supervised without being overbearing. The floors are cushioned, which helps since you're constantly moving, and it does get a little warm just because you're so active. From what I could tell, the party setup is more of a do-it-yourself style where you have a room for a set time rather than a fully hosted experience. Also, it seems per the website you would have like food delivered. There didn't appear to be a place where you could buy water. However, we did see water fountains near the restrooms. One thing I liked is that your time is based on active gameplay, not just the clock. So while we booked 90 minutes, we were actually there closer to two hours with the flow of the games. Activate Games was an absolute blast and the perfect way to have fun for my partner's birthday! I found booking tickets and a time slot online to be straightforward, easy, and also very reasonably priced! After using an online promo code for a slight discount, they were about $25 per person for around 60 mins of game play time. Check-in was also quick and easy in the lobby, where they gave us wristbands to play with and we quickly set up new player accounts at the kiosks since it was our first time here. The games are super fun and I loved the way it was set up so that you and your group have the rooms to play on your own, then if another group is trying to use the room it'll have you exit after your current game ends to allow them to enter the room. I loved all the games here and found them to be so entertaining, challenging, and FUN!!! My personal favorites were probably the Maze and Hoops ones - so exciting to try and get to the next level while also being GREAT EXERCISE!! It makes me very pleased to see a place such as this for young people (or anyone) to visit and have some activity and fun. Activate Games is a great way to not only have a super fun time with family and friends, but also to get really good exercise in while at it and also engage in some mentally stimulating, challenging game play!! I am a HUGE Activate fan. This is my 4th or 5th location by now. And I like this one. We went at a really good time around 10-11am so it was pretty empty meaning we had more open rooms to join. I finally beat my favorite game. The one in the mega room. And I am so happy about that!! Now I need to beat Bop! The games here are so fun and very challenging. And a really good workout depending on what you play. I seriously recommend this place to everyone. I bring friends here all the time and they always end up loving it here too. read more

Activate was the best place I've ever been to for a family event or date night. We went this morning and loved that we could go into any room and have access to everything. I loved how it gave you the chance to stay at one game or move on. The only time it doesn't give you an option to go up a level is when there is someone waiting at the door. There's also a place to put your phone if you want to record you and your family or friends having a great time! They had basketball, laser, and other games that I couldn't remember the names to. So although there's only 6-8 rooms (or more) you can definitely play at different levels or different game within the game.. if that makes sense. The people that helped us were so sweet and we were able to wait for some family who was running behind. I'll be back to bring some friends and maybe again with my family. Sooooo much fun! We went on a Tuesday during the day and definitely got our moneys worth. We almost had the place to ourselves. Be prepared to run and sweat! All the games are so much fun. Some are collaborative and some are competitive. You have the room to yourself which is really nice. When you arrive, you are given a bracelet that stores your info and that is how you check in to game rooms. Lockers are also included. There is no food-so eat before you come. read more

Went on opening night on a double date with some old friends. Extremely fun place that's not like any other activity we've done before. We booked a 75 minute session in which we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. There were plenty of people to help and suggest which games to play in case you needed a cardio break. Pretty much every single game we had a great time. It works for all levels of fitness because it each level starts easy and gets more difficult as you pass levels, so if one gets too difficult you can just choose a different game to play. The best part is you can go in blind and learn how to play on the spot and it won't really be a waste of time since it's fairly simple. Overall the groups favorite room was the mega grid. If you've ever played the video game fall guys, it's like a live version you actually play actively. I fully expect to come back to this location and bring different friend groups in on the fun. Don't forget to take a photo at the end at the Photo Booth! Use that as a rest time or at the end of the time! read more

Absolutely genius! So, I don't know about yall but when I go to a theme park or other game place I don't really want to play with strangers and here you don't have to. You get to play with only the people you came with and since every room is private, it's only you and your peeps. I love this. All of the games are so fun. Each room has 3 plus game choices and in most rooms you get to play about 3 rounds before you're asked to exit the room. The people working there are very friendly and will help you and check in with you along the way. There are lockers at the front that are very easy to use to keep hold of your things. The restrooms.... At a gaming place.... Were immaculate! I've been to establishments with food that had port-a-potty vibes. But their restrooms were so clean, low key high end vibes, and it smelled good in there. I can't wait to go back. This is a great place for family fun, coworker fun, date night. Just have on comfy workout clothing and be ready to sweat and laugh a lot! read more

This location is much closer to us than Plano. The staff are some of the nicest people I've ever met!! Activate does a great job hiring great people. The games were so fun and definitely a work out! My 10 year old loved it!! I recommend workout clothes forsure haha or something comfy, you'll def be sweating! If this place sold food and drinks it'd be next level! Took a pair of 10 yr old boys and 12 yr old girls. Both had a great time and were fairly worn out when we finished. Some of the games weren't clear or super straightforward but they eventually figured them out. Clean place, good employee presence and attitude. The kids did have to wait for some rooms but it was never excessive and we could usually find a room with almost no wait. Will go again. read more

I LOVE video games but HATE working out...until my friends and I came here for a bday, and we literally forgot we were sweating. We were just so focused on taking on the challenges or competing against each other that we didn't notice how much cardio we were doing. *This was the best of both worlds* I was worried about how sweaty I would be during&/after, but it truly just slips your mind when you're having fun! Our favorite game was the "Strike" room with the large screens in front, and the objective was to hit the screens with the balls provided. We really enjoyed the "Asteroid" game inside that room, as it was nostalgic to the 90s arcade game 'Asteroids'! Truly so fun, and worth the $15 ish! read more
